Such a nice surprise every time I get a new podcast from Fran in my downloads. I am new to the game this year and already slightly obsessed 😍. Love her voice, how clearly enunciated the podcast is, so upbeat and full of interesting topics. This podcast was a wonderful find and three of us are headed to MahjCon from hearing about it on this podcast. We WILL be playing MJ at night in our hotel for our week long girls trip 🥳🀄️

I’m new to MJ and I have really been enjoying and learning so much from Fern and her guests. These podcast episodes are a great way to understand more about this fun and challenging game.

Found this podcast a few weeks ago. Our group began playing in person again in April. We play once a week and it’s my favorite day of week. Listening to this pod really supports my awareness of the game. I’m not sure what I have learned but I do know I’m a more alert player since tuning in. Great podcast! I would also suggest reading the book as well. There was so many heartwarming feelings you get and it's so easy to relate to tons of things that Fern talks about.

Fern is a great host. She has a warm, gentle style - I think of her as a friend. I’ve learned so much from the varied guests. I love the answers her guest give to her question: How did you come to game? An then there’s the Covid factor - listening to her experiences reminds me that we’re all in the same boat!

I look forward to listening to a new episode each week and save them for my Tuesday morning walk. Monday morning is for online Mah Mahjong with my group on Meet! I have learned so much while being entertained!

That’s the saying I enjoy hearing, along with “each game you do not win you learn!” How true!!! The variety of guests from Mahj celebrities, family and artists to real players is so enjoyable. I usually listen at work using earbuds and have at times burst out in laughter to the surprise of my co-workers. Love this podcast!

I’m a new listener and have totally enjoyed the first few I’ve heard. #28 was riveting. It’s like listening to good friends. I especially liked the line about “wine games and poker games”. Thanks for helping me thru a tough a tough recuperation.

I simply fell in love with Fern Bernstein when we spoke on the phone. When she asked me to be on her podcast June 15th I was very excited. I was nervous but after her patient guidance I knew I could do this and the podcast interview went so well. My family and friends were extremely impressed with my story. I felt like a celebrity. Fern is the best. I started to read her book “Mah Jongg Monday’s “and knew she is a very special lady. She is insightful and has a spirituality that touches everyone she meets. I told my husband that I could be good friends with Fern. I look forward to meeting her one day at my Manhattan Mah Jongg Club on Monday’s at Sarabeths Restaurant. Thank you for coming into my life. I so look forward to this podcast every week! As a matter of fact I have been recently waiting until the middle/end of the week to listen to it because it gives me something to look forward on my daily walks in Manhattan to and from work!!! While the city is so empty and so sad especially in these unprecedented times, listening to the podcast is so uplifting and inspiring- Listening to Fern and her guests is like being around the table and enjoying time together. I have not only learned so much about the game but also about its history and about relationships- I am so lucky to have Fern in my life and to share in this sisterhood.
