Mike - David Poile interview was exemplary. I moved to VA in 2006 and have always found your reporting to be unmatched. Contributors like yourself, Joe B, Johnny Walton, Ben Raby, etc. really set the Caps organization on a higher level than any other.

Mike Vogel knows hockey, Caps hockey, but more importantly how to interview. He’s actively listening and we get deeper dives into the folks he’s interviewing as a result. Never awkward or forced, and always something new.

This used to be great when it was inside scoop into the Caps. Nobody wants to hear would you rather or random chat. It also sounds like these two are permanently congested—is it taped from inside a barrel?

Think if Wayne & Garth did the “Wayne’s World” show but were actually playing on, say, Aerosmith; that’s what you get with these guys. Goofy guys who just happen to play on the pro team they’re talking about. The insiders perspective is incredible, that it’s told by a couple goofballs makes it fun.

Absolutely hilarious. I thought it would be cool to hang out w/Caps players, & Dowder & Hats don’t disappoint.

It’s fun to hear our Caps discuss other parts of their lives. Always funny - always a great time!

This podcast has brought me so much joy. I started listening from the beginning but post end of the season/lockdown it had helped me escape. As a life long CAPS fan I can’t wait to get back in the stands. Until then, I’m great I’ll the boys are keeping this going.

Best Caps pod there is. Great to hear what the lives of NHLers are like and the thoughts on different topics. Also great humor. A must for any caps fan.

For work Im on the road a TON so naturally I'm listening to a lot of pod casts on my drives. In my family the Caps are essentially a religion and always have been. Please keep making episodes, I love them! Also.... You should get Holtby and Backstrom on episodes....that'd be pretty cool

Not a super-polished podcast but, in this case, its relative informality is a strength. Listening to Dowd and Hathaway talk about life on the road, and chat with teammates about all kids of topics (hockey, family, life on the road, etc.) is a fun glimpse inside the team that I watch regularly. I think most Caps fans would find this well worth their time.

I am incredibly charmed by Nic Dowd and Garnet Hathaway just chatting about their lives and chirping each other. It’s great to hear from these guys who we wouldn’t hear much about otherwise!

I don’t know how the Caps got Dowd & Hathaway to agree to this, but any podcast that has both me and my 12 year old son laughing is a good thing. They’re just two good guys who play hockey talking about stuff. Cool insights on what it’s like to be a professional athlete & some inside Caps stuff. I hope they keep it up!

Gents. Really enjoying the podcast. I love the down to earth banter about all kinds of stuff. Casual and personal. Been a huge fan of GH#21 since he came as we share a connection of Kennebunkport Maine. Guaranteed I was the first guy in the arena with a 21 jersey. If I want the inside info on the game and drill deep on strategy players etc I go elsewhere. Keep rocking it Garny and James Dowder. Lol.

The content of this podcast is excellent but the audio levels vary wildly between each mic. The hosts are barely able to be heard while the guests are up to an 11. More consistently and better audio editing.

Mike, very good interview. I love it when Alex sits down and chats like that. Looking forward to more in depth interviews.
