Awesome episode jimmy. Everything you spoke was genuine. I couldn’t help but tear up myself when listening, everything hit me so hard. Experiencing some of the same situations with my daughter it’s not easy coming from a background of hustle to raising a baby girl. A little about myself, I’m 37 and my daughter is 15. I’ve been a single parent for her entire life since she was 2 weeks old it’s been me and her alone. It pains me to write this but this podcast isn’t the same. I have been listening since the first episode of Behind the Baller and loved listening. Jimmyboi was a nice addition to the pod but it’s become a woman-bashing pod to the point I can’t listen anymore. I know things change and this is more for entertainment but coming from them - both girl dads - it’s cringey.

I am a long time listener. I started listening to behind the baller, I was BTBarmy, I subscribed to both his twitter and his Insta for years. I just cancelled those subs. Here’s the thing, Ben went through a hard divorce and his wife took him to the cleaners, since then he isn’t the same. He asks Jimmy these questions like why is he asking that? He’s like “you pay your taxes bro?” Like we all assume Jimmy pays his taxes. Are you asking him to incriminate himself on record? Another question for Jimmy from Ben “ you cheat bro” everything is Bro Bro Bro. His vocabulary seems down. He use to give free game now it’s Trumpy politics talking about immigrants like they aren’t paying into social security working at that taco truck like you said Ben. Illegals pay into social security and neger see a dime of it. I unfollowed but I’m going to keep following Jimmy, and that x wife of Ben’s that Ben says FaceTunes all her pics. Haha this show has changed, like a lot of the reviews say.

I was lucky enough to catch Ben on an episode with GaryV and instantly became a fan and searched out his new Pod - I haven’t missed an episode since! Now he and Jimmy Boi have morphed into a new brand thats got business, jewelry, golf, relationships, being a dad, travel, and more all wrapped into an hour a week! All I can say is, when you going back to twice a week! If you haven’t listened in yet, do it!

Found the show and was excited to check it out. Had to listen to 2 grown men make corny fat jokes for 45 minutes. It was embarrassing. Went and listened to the show they tried to trash and enjoyed them much more. This may be for some, just not me.

The episodes just don’t hit the same. Jimmy is a yes man and Ben is always looking for some sort of validation.

After listening to this dude for years i can now say hes a goofy. Talk about one insecure little boy. He tries so hard to be down and most of the show hes just on defense mode about life.

Been a day one listener and I sadly agree with the criticisms people have of Ben losing his spark. I don’t want to be a hater and I used to LOVE this show, but before and after the rebrand, I’m noticing a lot of blind spots to his podcasting that devalue the sense of entertainment/“business” his podcast had at its peak. And Jimmy is a good dude, he’s entertaining to listen to, but he’s sorta another yes man on this show that Ben uses to create life examples out of and ask these rhetorical questions to launch his rant or subtle flexes. I think Ben is not receptive to these sorts of criticisms but I hope you stray away from the vapidness

Hey Ben, Now that you got Cold as Ice up finally and you changed the format I have a suggestion for you, you ever thought about getting Robert Kiyosaki aka Rich Dad Poor Dad on the podcast ? He too has a podcast based on his book Rich dad poor dad and gives very good knowledgeable tips. I can see him really bringing that advice to everyone and reach to a new audience You should get him on the show!

When did you start noticing friends change on you while you were moving forward on your path? Did they hate on you and what were some of the things that they did? I think this would be a good topic to speak about. The concept of elevation requires separation and why. It would be so interesting to hear some of the situations you had encountered along your journey. You don’t have to say specific names but man it would be awesome to hear some of your trials and tribulations.

My honest opinion about this podcast is it’s entertaining at best. However Ben Yang tries to act like he’s part of the Chicano culture and even the gang culture. Has never been in jail longer than a day, grew up a college kid living in all kinds of places. The only reason Ben knows Ktown is because he’s kind of forced to represent it. Ben, just because you know real LA famous OG’s like Dr.Dre and Mister Cartoon doesn’t make you part of the culture. You make jewelry for celebrities and play golf. Act your class. Also, don’t think we forgot about your flopped jobs you claimed to be on the way to create and had people send you personal information when you had your failed marijuana line. Karma is real. That’s why you had a divorce served to you.

I am so sad to be writing this review but the pod has been so hard to listen to. Idk if it’s his divorce or what but Ben’s vibe is so negative. What used to be a positive, uplifting, thought provoking, free game podcast is now just a place for a man who is losing his family to complain and be angry. I am a woman listener who has been tuned in since day one and this year as been so disappointing. It’s like since his wife left, he has no empathy. I went from never missing an episode to barely finishing an episode. So sad because this was my top podcast.

Great podcast, this has helped me a lot with life and parenting, thank you for being vulnerable, from one father to another, thank you, Ben.

Literally! I can’t stand listening to people’s voices… on surround sound.. especially when they’re discussing something completely dull… plus their lack luster energy and constant nasal noises. Podcasts have not been for me.. Until Uncle Ben came through with his pod! I started listening during my work flights shortly after he started. Someone tell me they also fall asleep to the sound of his voice! Add “Mr. Smooth” to the roll call! I’m not big on the “ASMR” trend, but Ben… if you need another hustle… better get that voice on a sleep app, stay! In all seriousness: I highly appreciate Mr. Yang’s raw candor, business advice (and shared experiences), relevant worldly discussions and all the other good he throws in. I can’t forget the blatant smack talk that everyone else is scared to air out. It’s not everyday you find a cool cat who walks his walk! 4 stars because the he’s heavily misunderstood and there is no need to break it down for them. If you know then you just know. Lastly, all fame and biz aside, Ben demonstrates such selfless love/pride for/in his beautiful family. A man who stands behind his principles with the proof to show it is one that I respect and support across all endeavors.

I was a BTB listener since episode 42. Almost 2 years. I love the content and information Ben shared. Car talks and life hacks were great. He recently got into Golf and that’s pretty much all he talks about now. I find myself just fast forwarding the episode or completely ignoring it now. I am not much into golf or even find it interesting. I’m still following Ben to show my support but will be replaced soon when I find a much relate-able podcast.

He has guests on and 80% of time he’s talking about himself. He had dan the billionaire on and wanted to listen to some insights of business. Nope just another podcast of him talking about his money, cars, his legacy in hip hop. This guys a clown.

What is Ben’s relationship with Michael Rapaport? I’ve noticed some things that’s strange to me. Besides having the same guys producing the show Ben also intros the show with the same AKA thing like Mike and I heard an episode where he called out Mike for not fact checking then made it seem like they’re cool the next episode and business partners and Ben says he has the same medical condition as him. Just seems like a weird obsession or something but maybe I’m wrong.

I just came here to say thank you for everything you’ve done just on this podcast alone. I don’t know how I first heard of Ben Baller, or when I started following him on the gram, but finally gave the podcast a listen a few months ago. It seems like week after week, he manages to address something that I really needed to hear (especially recently). Wether it’s his relationship advice, thoughts on mental health, or just good ole game, Ben’s constantly dropping some OG/big homie advice that can be hard to come by as I get older. I’ve never met Ben in real life and probably never will, but this podcast reduced a larger than life figure from rap songs and Instagram to just a chill dude choppin it up. To me, he’s pretty humble for that 😂. 11/10, do recommend.
