fixitorleaveitStarting at age 27My husband and I are finally going to put ourselves first. Thanks to you, David. Your wisdom about finances and life means so much to me and my husband. I enjoy listening to your podcasts whenever I am on the way to work, doing laundry, or whenever I get some free time.

mihrllecCould play a drinking game with how many times he says “Florence Italy!”Useful financial info but it seems like starting in episode 9 it is Florence Italy over and over and over. Bragging more that he lives in Italy than providing advice to listeners. The ego is getting under my skin.

SofiaJVoiceStudioPlease do MORE podcasts!David’s knowledge is not what makes this my favorite money podcast. It’s his sincerity, zest for life, learning & caring soul he truly is! I’ve loved watching his Italian adventure, resilience & learn something every time. I’m listening to old podcasts on repeat now & truly hope more are coming in 2023!

JanuarymamablogIt’s a good day to do hard thingsI just listened to episode 24 and was in tears, not because it’s sad because it’s moving. I’ve been working on a project that has been extremely hard for me to do but I’m doing it and I’m learning from it. Thank you for your words and story to remind me that I can do this hard thing and not to give up. PS. Before you retire I’d LOVE to have you in our podcast “Money Party”. (That took balls to write, I’m doing little hard things to reach my dreams:)

Clar8371My Mentor From AfarThank you for the work you do and the wisdom you bring. I first read “Smart Women Finish Rich” in my 20’s (I’m 42 now.), and decided to buy a Roth IRA in my 20’s through edward jones’ “smart women finish rich” class. It was the first in a series of smart financial decisions. Thanks for shining light on the power we have through the choices we make. Thanks for uplifting women and humankind!

CapriceGeorgeIncredible PodcastDave, please keep the podcasts coming!! I started investing in real estate 5 years ago at the age of 29, 3 years ago I got my real estate license in Colorado and bought another investment property last year. Building wealth and making money while I sleep!!! My goal is to have them paid off by the time I’m 55 and a large chunk of my retirement income will be from those rentals!! I love your podcasts and advice. Grateful for you and so happy your health is improving!!! If you’re ever in Colorado Springs, I’ll set you up in one of my new cozy, mountain Airbnb’s outside of town! Thanks for all you do!!!

BubibububSince Sophomore Year of High SchoolHi David. I am 23 years old now and just starting my career. However, my teacher gave me your Automatic Millionaire book in my sophomore year of high school and I have never forgotten it. The first thing I did when I started working was pull that book out. It has been an amazing guide for how to set up my 401 K and how to save for the future. Thank you for this AMAZING podcast and for doing what you do. You are making working from home so much more enjoyable!!! P.S I studied abroad in Florence in 2019 and I am living vicariously through you wishing I could be back there!! Ciao!

Jeanne830Great Action ItemsI posted something about this on Instagram recently, but it was buried in a comment thread. I’m not sure if it was seen. In 2020, I made calls and was able to get a cable bill significantly lowered. An underrated part of David’s approach, good old fashioned phone calls to vendors (not text-email) to get better rates. It still works!

Janelle MasonBest practical money advice everI remember David Bach from his Oprah days. This last year to 18 months I have started implementing some of his awesome advice (finally)! My husband and I are going to finish strong and secure financially because of David! Thank you and please keep bringing the amazing content.

DF Florence,ITThings I'm grateful for from 2020Absolutely love this podcast show! I look forward to my morning coffee, quiet time listening to each one - there is always something that I learn. Love you’re energy also and am grateful for all the fabulous advice. The business, financial, and personal growth takeaways from the podcasts during 2020 were a highlight of my year. Loved "The Latte Factor" and have gifted it to many young people in my life including my children, nieces/nephews and godchildren. It's such an important part of our education that is missing in our schools.Grazie mille!

Sophia W CaliforniaGrateful!Hi David I just wanted to check in with you and let you know I grateful I am for you-your generosity and your kindness. I am a part of the insider team for the Latte Factor and have shared the book with several friends and family members. I have incorporated several of your suggestions so far and will continue to do so as I reach for financial freedom. My next financial goal is to purchase a home. I’ve been listening to the podcast from the start and look forward to each and every one. I have come to think of you as a good friend. ugxngeInspired to live richI was fortunately raised to be content and remain positive. Your materials provide me with inspiration to stay the course. My immediate family and I read the Latte Factor, at least once. Before I retired, at the age of 57, I purchased and presented each of my bank branch staff with their own copy of the book. Thank you for sharing podcasts from Italy. Praying for you to recover quickly from the health setback.

tnjen17Love!!You make me feel like it’s actually possible! I love your podcast and I hope you never stop! You’re just a normal guy that happens to be living life to your fullest. I honestly can’t crossover to the belief that I can be just a regular gal - living my best life, but your podcasts and IG posts and books (although I’ve only read the Latte Factor, so far) are getting me closer. Stay on! Jennifer P.

SJRemington1Automatic Millionaire - Life Skills For TeensHi David, Thank you for your dedication to helping people, regardless of income, Live Rich! My 14 year old daughter is a freshman in high school. Having more time at home, with school being a hybrid model, I am using this as an opportunity to teach my daughter some “Life Skills”. Personal Finance will be part of the curriculum and I have just purchased The Latte Factor to use as a teaching tool. I really enjoyed your short podcast this week about The Automatic Millionaire. Acorns will be a great first step for my daughter to start investing. Thank you!!! Sarah, Medfield MA

Julie BorenYou talking to me?Hi David, I just want to say thank you so much for the podcast, I wait for it, watch for it and listen right away. Change your location, change your life spoke right to my heart. I was having trouble allowing myself to want to move out of a beautiful location that people are flocking to, in favor of the city(Seattle). When you were talking about NY and said the city’s not dead, new people will come, I thought YES that’s it, new people will come, new people like me! I really hope you keep doing the podcast, as a stay at home mom with young kids I love that I can pop in my ear buds and listen and clean, repeat daily. Thanks again.

JCA0920Love Your Podcasts!Listening to your podcasts has made me get out & walk most evenings. I’m inspired. I already signed up for my 403b plan at work after delaying because I thought I was going to move out of state. May as well get the free money from my employer. You say it’s never too late, but I’m in my 60’s & closing in on retirement. Is it worth buying Smart Women Finish Rich at this stage? I wish I had discovered you & your books back when I was widowed at age 50. I’m sure I would be better off now than I am, but all we can do is move forward. Thank you for what you do David!
-
iysotynblKeep podcasting, we are listeningDavid you asked is we are listening and should you keep doing these podcasts. YES please keep doing them I look forward to each and every one of them. You are so upbeat and give great advice. I don’t get a lot of chances to travel because we have 3 restaurants and you can’t run them remotely unfortunately, but there has never been a trip that I regretted spending money on. My most precious memories are vacations with my family. Please keep podcasting.

jenhook123David you’re the best and yes change is good!David I’ve read several of your books starting probably over 20 years ago. And subscribed to your Sunday emails for years, but admittedly haven’t ready many. I get so many emails! So I have to say that these days I’ve become a podcast listener. Recently discovered your podcast and I’m so glad I did! In addition to the Latte Factor, I think every parent should have their kids begin listening to the podcasts from freshmen year in high school on. It’s so sad that most schools don’t teach kids the fundamentals that you do. Instead of ending your podcasts, might you consider replacing the emails with your podcasts? After listening to your Episode 18 - “Change Your Location, Change Your Life”, I say BRAVO! My oldest daughter did her study abroad in Florence, ended up not coming back and graduated from AUR in Rome, and works there now for the UN! Her younger sister is on a similar track. I have always been a fan of change, but my husband is one of those who comes up with reasons why it won’t work. Which is WHY I’m so excited about this particular Episode - hopefully he’ll listen to it and see where we’re all coming from and move to Italy too! Thank you!

PNWPaleoHe’s Back! He’s baaaaack! I have been waiting a whole month for a new podcast from David Bach and he delivered with TWO! I love his content, love his perspectives and love his advice. I’ve just finished reading Smart Women Finish Rich and organized my folders last night (feeling majorly accomplished). This book inspired me to look at my life and finances in a whole new way, and I’m already on my way to financial freedom and independence and a life full of RICHNESS, because being financially secure allows me to live life with the ones I love to the fullest. Please keep these podcasts going. They’ve helped me tremendously. With love, Rachel.

NapakittenPlease don’t stop your podcasts....they have changed my lifeFirst off I could not agree more that your passport and travel are the best investments. We have grown so much since investing in travel and ourselves and living rich now. We became scuba certified and it opened up even more of this amazing world to us. This year has been tough with it going from our best travel year ever to lots of disappointment with 6 trips cancelled on us. But a month from today I will be celebrating my bday on a sunny beach after spending the morning exploring the underwater world and I can not wait!! I just had to share my story with you and thank you for changing my views and helping me get on the right course. And best of all you made it so simple and easy to follow. October 2019 I stumbled across your Smart Women Finish Rich book and I started working the steps and making small changes. I was hooked. I followed your blog, podcasts and bought The Latte Factor when it came out. At that time I had worked for the County of Napa for 19 years and knew that I have a good pension waiting for me so I really had not put much effort into my 401k. But reading your book made me change my mind to have that extra bit there for me and to hopefully retire at 55. Or maybe if I work it right as early as 50. So even though my husband and I have been aggressively paying down debt, I slowly built my contribution into my 401k to up to 10% and it didn’t hurt our path we were on. I had like $6000 in my 401k. Now in less than a year it is at $15,500 and that is even in a covid year! Additionally, I opened a little fun investing account with Sofi and started buying “bits” of stocks $50 at a time and my account is over $1700 with a profit of $500 so far this year. All the while just this past year my husband and I paid over $36,000 off our debt and figured out if we stay with what we are doing now without ever paying off more we will have been doing now, everything including our house we bought 2 years ago paid off in 7 years and even more of a chance I can retire early. My last step is I am really trying to find a non profit that speaks to me so I can start the giving away part too. I am really praying and searching for the right one. I have watched your stories about moving with your family to Italy and it makes me plan more to live rich now. I am working to create a plan for my secondary career after retirement that I will love to do and start working just for fun and not necessity. And my ultimate dream is to work remotely from a beach house where my husband and I can scuba dive whenever we want! I could go on and on about how you came along at the perfect time or how I don’t find it coincidence that my son just graduated business and finance and has passed his series 7 test and on his way to be a fiduciary. And just what a crazy path our lives are on and I never thought was possible with just a little discipline. But I just wanted to take time out to tell you thank you and share that your teachings have changed our lives and we are grateful for your teachings. Keep up the work cause it does make a difference. Thank you Stacie and David Gutierrez

Eppie3225Changed my life years ago and continues to inspireWow...Episode 16....many years ago I bought the book Automatic Millionaire and began taking baby steps toward the process as I worked multiple jobs as a ski bum! Following the advice in the book about saving as well as about living kept my perspective in place. I’ve followed the advice of enjoying your work so you never feel like you are working while saving as I went. Now I am able to continue my dream path with the impetus provided from this podcast....time for me to make a move to Portugal and see where the next part of the journey takes me. Thanks to David’s book I surprised myself at what I am able to do sooner than expected and am so excited about the next chapter! Thank you!!

$ bagsMindshift changeDavid thank you for being such a strong presence. In early 2019, after reading the Latte factor, I was listening to one of your podcast where you were talking about your Grandmother and how she taught you about investing at McDonalds and you were talking about the Automatic Millionaire. I realized how you had Been raised with your focus on investing and saving and I was living and focused on debt. I felt as if we are always “paying off debt”, coming up with plans etc. I had a major shift and thought we are gong to FOCUS on investing and saving. We set up automatic direct deposits to our savings, we increased 401k withholdings and just learned to live on the rest. Now as we pay off a bill we increase our savings. Thank you for sharing your life lessons and teaching us to be better !

Noodles & the Rockstar! She handled it...with his help!!!After 20 years of being a business owner and a financial advisor, I have had just about enough of the financial pressure and ebb and flow. David spoke words of encouragement and wisdom into my life which helped my husband and I turn it around… After the devastation of the great recession, our home was foreclosed on and we found ourselves more than 1/2 million in debt… The wisdom from his books and interviews helped us turn it around… This guy knows his stuff! When all seemed hopeless, he gave me the courage to get back up, try again and now we’re fully debt-free in our business and personal life and just closed on our dream home during Covid… Ultimately David’s direction helped me live a truly-free financial life, full of joy and no regrets! THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!!

CaiteHarrQuick question...Hi David! I love your books and the podcast! I’m trying to put into practice the steps you discuss, starting with paying myself first. I currently have 10% of my pay going to my 403b and another 12% going into my “regular” retirement- 5% of my money with a 7% match. I just got a raise. My question is should I up my 403b contribution or open an account separate from my employer? Thanks so much for all your help, guidance and expertise!! Cait H
