Just rather notNew to thisHello. My friend just recommended this podcast to me. I have to say I’m unexpectedly excited now to quit drinking. I’m not a problem drinker but I’ve noticed my brain at 65 isn’t functioning as well as I would like it to. Looking forward to this journey with you. Thank you.

katelumpCould be BetterThe intention behind the podcast is wonderful and the content is good. But the host talks over her guests and cuts them off constantly to where it’s almost unbearable to listen to. Let your guests speak and complete their thoughts!

UARed01Please cut down on the promotional advertisingI turn to your podcast because I am looking for help and insight, and find that I spending 3-4 mins of every episode in the beginning listening to your advertising plugs. Please consider spacing this out.

C.SimmsI feel seen and heard.Thank you Janey for creating the community that you are creating! Thank you for normalizing this conversation. For the first time while on my journey of an alcohol free life of going on 6 years now I feel seen and heard. It’s not easy. Your podcast has given me hope and options for my choice to live an alcohol free life. It has given me words to describe how I feel and what I’m going through. It has given me a better understanding of what I’m dealing with. I listened to your Ted Talk right after I had just finished crying and praying and asking God for direction. I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe God led me to you. I can’t stop listening to your podcast episodes. I didn’t even know this lifestyle existed and I was struggling alone and now I have confidence in knowing that I don’t have to do that. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please keep doing what you’re doing.

KK's mom foreverSuch an inspirationThank you, Janey, for this podcast. I started listening nearly a year ago and you have helped me on my journey to “ditch the booze”. March 19th will mark six months alcohol free, and I feel better than ever. I still listen to it regularly, just love how your way of presenting so refreshing, and non-judgmental. You have so many interesting guests, and you and your guests are so inspiring to me. With every podcast I listen to, I learn something new. I want to join the Sober Club next time it opens again, and just ordered your book. Looking forward to reading it. And thank you for keeping us AF people in the loop about all these fabulous non-alcoholic drinks! Sylvia Bosma - born and raised in the Netherlands, now home in the US.

ZaraGSo supportive & wonderful!!Listening to this is like cosying you with a cup of tea and a close girlfriend, having an honest and emotional chat about the realness, ins and outs of problem drinking, all with an incredibly positive context and supremely helpful perspectives and information. Thank you so much, Janey, for taking the time and courage to create this. You will never know me and yet you’ve made a huge difference in my life. ♥️

lalachapRefreshingClever, witty and often philosophical, this podcast gives the listener permission to question the role of alcohol in not only the culture but the individual as well. Sobriety is only as complicated as we make it. This show helps guide those of us navigating the alcohol free lifestyle with intelligence and grace.

memetrainShe talks over guestsI want to enjoy this podcast. It’s a great topic. But I just tried to listen to the Rachel welford episode ,who is amazing and calm. Please Jane, continue the good work but try to stop finishing your guests sentences and don’t talk over them. It’s painful

sober in bostonAwesome Awesome AwesomeI love this podcast. Recently new to sobriety after dry January. I am reading Annie Grace’s book This Naked Mind and just received today, “The joy of living sober”. I learned of janey lee through the aforementioned. I could listen to Janey all day long. She is so easy to listen to, she speaks so clearly and well and her voice is lovely and soothing. I just love the subject matter, the people she interviews and her style. It’s super and super helpful! Thank you janey.

Suze NJSelf care tips in the context of reducing your drinkingJaney is personally invested in this and so interviews ‘sober experts’ (for want of a better term!) and asks searching questions and shares her own experiences. She’s obviously a professional broadcaster and so she’s entertaining too. I like the focus on self care tips. Worth a listen if you want to cut down or cut out alcohol or are just interested in why other people do (or just live Janey).

Violet1226Great podcastEnjoying your podcast! It’s exciting to start listening from the beginning as it seems you are at a similar place in your journey. Today marks 365 days of freedom from alcohol for me! I loved your interview with Clare Pooley. She is one of the fabulous top five who have helped me navigate through this first year. The other four are William Porter, Annie Grace, Belle Robertson and Catherine Gray. I hope you get to touch base with some of these amazing folks in future episodes. Thank you for taking time to do this. Looks like it’s going to be fun!
