    The best series companion imaginable
I love this podcast! I stumbled across it several years ago, when I began my project of watching all of Doctor Who in sequence. The podcast turned out to be the perfect companion, filling in the production background and highlighting many aspects of each adventure that I missed. They get the show. They get the Doctor — all of them. They get the companions — all of them. And they LOVE the show, that’s obvious with every minute of every episode. But at the same time they’re not afraid to call out bad choices, either in the writing or the production. (I’m talking about you, horny crustacean.) Their comments are always astute and well-informed, and more than anything else, they seem to genuinely enjoy each others’ company. A word has to be said here about the terrible loss of Don and his partner. There is no denying that an important ingredient in the chemistry is gone. But the team has rallied round and I think they’ve made exactly the right decision, carrying on without trying to replace him, because there is no way that could have been done. All I can say is that I felt his loss as if one of my old high school buddies had passed away, and continuing the podcast is the best tribute they could possibly pay to their friend. I look forward to continuing my journey with these fellow Whovians for many years to come.

THIS is the best Doctor Who podcast. Period.
This is without a doubt the most listenable Doctor Who podcast out there! There is serious and not-so-serious discussion, the hosts are all likeable and the sound quality is excellent. I listen to several Doctor Who podcasts, but this is DEFINITELY my favorite!

    10/10 TARDIS points
So much fun!!! This group is a wonderful mix of people with various experiences of the classic run of Doctor Who. These four laugh and joke through each episode with a strong foundation of research and respect for one of the best shows to ever grace the airwaves. Even if you haven’t watched the original run - they provide enough entertainment to enjoy the dive into classic science fiction and it’s place in the zeitgeist.

A Fun Romp In Time And Space
This podcast is highkey my favorite Doctor Who podcast. The hosts are incredibly entertaining and hilarious. The show is engaging and they always bring in fresh ideas and takes to the table. Their ranking system is always fun to listen to and the jokes they make (though my young brain may not understand all of them) are great. They also have a great social media presence and are very kind to their listeners. Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast.

A fun look at Doctor Who
The Watchers (Anthony, Don, Julie and Reilly) are working their way through Doctor Who, in order, from the very beginning. Fortunately, they don't take things too seriously which makes for a fun look back at the series. At the time of this review, they are going through my favorite era of the show, that of the Second Doctor. The Third Doctor era should be a lot of fun as well, when they get there and the quarry count goes sky high!

    Great podcast
I’m still in catch-up mode as I just finished their commentary on The Keys of Marinus. It’s unique to hear the views from the Watchers who are at different points in their DW fandom. I enjoy the brief intro where they talk about what was happening in the world at the time the episode aired. That sometimes gives a perspective that I haven’t thought about. This podcast is definitely worth a listen.

    Better than the rest
So what distinguishes the watchers from every other Who podcast out there? It’s a great mix of established fandom and people who aren’t familiar with the classic series at all. The host does his research from multiple sources and knows his history of the program. There’s humor but they never make fun of the show for what it is, and they are easily able to watch a British, 60’s tv series on its own terms. Highly recommended.

    A Wonderful Adventure
This podcast is like a Companion Guide for watching Doctor Who from the very start. Informative and entertaining!
