MeewhomDisappointed in Bias and InconsistencyI have been a listener of Invisible Choir for some time and have appreciated the podcast’s ability to shine a light on dark and complicated stories. However, I was deeply disappointed by what I perceive as a troubling inconsistency in the presenter’s approach to discussing crimes across different racial groups. In one episode, the presenter appeared to condemn members of one race for their actions while, in another, seemed to excuse or rationalize equally heinous crimes committed by individuals of a different race. This double standard is deeply unsettling, as it undermines the podcast’s credibility and fairness. Crime is crime, and justice should be applied equally, regardless of the perpetrator’s background. I listen to true crime podcasts for insightful, unbiased storytelling—not to hear selective moralizing that seems to shift based on race. I hope the creators reflect on this issue and strive for more balanced narratives in the future. You pandering coward

IzzyandtheJetsPoeticI really like this podcast. It covers interesting and lesser known cases. I can also appreciate the host’s sense of humor taking jabs at the killers. The host also excellent at examining human nature and life. The commentary he provides on some of the cases truly makes you consider the nature of people.

BagLadyPAOne of the best and no it’s not “woke”In a crowded field of mostly mediocre true crime podcasts, this one stands out for lesser-known stories told with sensitivity and well researched. I don’t see the left wing bias some people mention, and I am quite conservative. I’d say there is little to no political commentary, which is why I enjoy it.

Doc I.C.Stumbled upon this podcast last spring- so glad I did*Invisible Choir* is an incredible podcast that I can’t recommend enough. Michael’s voice is soothing yet powerful, and his insights into the cases he covers are both thoughtful and eye-opening. As someone who practices psychiatry at a county jail, I’ve come across a few cases Michael has discussed involving my own patients/inmates. It’s always fascinating to hear an outsider’s perspective on cases I know firsthand, and Michael handles each story with care and integrity. I especially appreciated his honesty about BetterHelp—his transparency was refreshing and rare in today’s podcast landscape. Michael, keep doing what you’re doing! Your work makes my long drives so much more engaging, and I look forward to every new episode.

CorwianNew to this podcastI just started podcasts this summer and only listen to true crime. I subscribed to this one because I enjoy listening to the host. Many of the episodes have touched me deeply and I appreciate the respect shown to the victims and the truth. A couple of my favorites are the episodes about Ryan Waller, Emily Noble and Sgt. Matt Ratana. Keep up the great investigating and storytelling.

NicoooooooooolioPerfect Storm FeedbackI absolutely love this podcast (thus my 5-star review). I was incredibly disappointed by the way Carly’s clear mental health issues were seemingly dismissed by the courts. For 1) a diagnosis of bipolar does not always strictly follow what is outlined in the DSM-5, there is a concept of mixed episodes where a bipolar person can rapidly cycle through mania and depression and 2) the prosecution all but admitted that Carly was more likely to have a diagnosis of borderline based on her description of disassociation (which please tell me you can hold a child accountable for “accurately” describing your interpretation of disassociation), rapid mood swings, and self harm behavior. I am glad you shared this story bc it sheds light on how overlooked mental health is in this country. I just wish there had been more thought into the commentary around the prosecutions testimony on Carly’s mental health.

Juliagulia1981Invisible ChoirGreat storytelling! I also LOVE how open the host is about his struggles. It’s not easy to talk about mental health struggles and I really respect his candor. It makes it easier for the rest of us to be open. Thank you ♥️

Maybe_aleaCaptivating!Amazing research and story telling!

Jimmy NeutronicWhat happened?Bailing on this one. The first seasons were amazing. And then it was good. Then it was okay. Now the highlight of the last year or so is a better help as thrashing them. I didn’t mind supporting the show but even the subscription content is lagging. Best of luck kids

Joshua1:5Fire!Wow! Amazing! I love this podcast. This podcast is detailed...very detailed. New stories that no other podcast are doing...not the same stories everyone else (seemingly within the same month of the other) is doing. THIS IS THE SHOW! Get hooked now! The BetterHelp ad is honest and I loved it. It is a sentiment to the integrity of the podcast.

SmallMomoftwoAmazing and HONEST!I love your show! It’s be of the very best. Your detail to the stories is really good. You have great voice for the podcast and you truly have a talent. Also, your honesty is so inspiring. Thank you so much for being so honest about the situation you have with the online counseling’s situation. I feel that you probably helped a lot of people by sharing your experience. I know I am one who has done online counseling and I hate being rescheduled, over charged, and ending up not getting the help I was looking for. So, thank you for all you do.
-
AngelaFromCALove that you are honest and realThank you for respecting your audience enough to be honest and real with us. Great podcast. The stories are told respectfully.

urbancowgirl2233778Good podcast. Legendary Betterhelp AdI think you are legendary for the Betterhelp ad. Tons of respect for that!
-
Ali974Belly of the BeastI am a big fan of your podcasts, but Belly of the Beast is slow and boring. Not entertaining at all. It just dragged on. Please keep w the format of informative, a steady pace and engaging.
-

Aj formsGreat show. If for other reason than honest sponsor ship adsI really enjoy the podcast, however I felt compelled to leave a review after the recent episode and the host’s brutally honest review of Better Help. That was great 😂
-
Zion5010RespectLOL major respect for your honest and informative review of Betterhelp instead of reading the typical script provided by the company.
-

HowokdisthegiMehToo many subscribers only updates, would rather listen to more available podcasts.
-
WS – true crime fanSubscribers onlyI love Invisible Choir and have for years, and after not listening for months, due to no regular episodes available I was sad to see that it was for paying subscribers only now, I went through many many many titles to find subscribers episodes were available… Very sad about this.

macbabe16Well Produced, Could you Lose the AI voices?AI voices are distracting and there are points in which they go on for long passages. Please consider ditching the AI in favor of real voice actors. AI takes work from creators and real people. It’s not ethical; even if you hire college students, prioritize real people please.
-
ConniecoExcellent! Those who complain about this podcast are right wing whiny brats. This is an excellent true crime podcast.
-
Bag surferCaptain Obvious! Not only that, dude caters to the woke hoping for accolades. Used to be ok before the woke garbage

Jeffro77Reeks of soyListen to this if you are a NPC.

BIGWillyyWonkaWouldn’t recommendUpdate: on the latest episode about the school stabbing attack, hard to take the “witness” seriously or believe him when he can’t coherently speak without fumbling words and saying 20-40 minutes before police came is a huge time difference. It’s just ok. The content is informative but too many “redactions”, getting facts from Reddit, and the hosts voice is very whiny for a man. Also they’re like too soft to say the perps name. You’re reporting a crime, Just tell the facts not feelings
-
Finding MnemosyneOne of the best true crime podcasts out there!- Excellent storytelling alongside high-quality recordings of those involved in the cases: police interviews, trials, etc. - Well-researched with credit given to the proper sources - Utmost sensitivity to victims and their families - Truly meets its aim to amplify voices that have been silenced
-
leslie_willHard PassPolitical agenda cloaked as true crime.
-
ShezGhezI quit this show once and shouldn’t have gone backThis podcaster has an obviously left wing bias. It’s quite obvious he does not believe in our Constitutional rights, specifically the right to bear arms. He sounds like he supports lawsuits against firearms dealers and manufacturers for acts caused by deranged individuals who have lawfully purchased firearms. I’m over this mentality of completely uninformed people.
-
Otolith 2000Just the factsThis podcast is thought provoking and well researched. I appreciate how you tell your story without cute catch phrases, off color jokes, or hyperbole. I expect there will be some people squealing that you're "too woke" because of the thoughts & prayers episode, but I thought you presented it in a very fair, even handed way. The guy did what he did and said what he said; there's no way to tell his story without covering that. Well done.
-
D WadezGood podGood podcast to listen to. Wish more were free. Like finding a needle in a haystack to listen to the free pods. Think $5 is subscription price so not bad but still a little annoying.
-
kelbear66Absolutely my favorite true crime podcastI am a true crime snob. I don’t like laughing and giggling or preachy podcasts. Michael just tells it like it happened. He shows empathy and understanding in a way that is completely respectful. I will say if you want the true facts with no fluff or preaching this is the podcast for you. Also most of the cases he covers I have never heard before so that in and of itself is worth a listen.
-
Ken&Flea👍Really enjoy the story and style of the show.
-
cecegrrlEpisode: Thoughts and Prayers..Another excellent 5⭐️production! Beginning with the Host’s thought provoking preamble at the episode’s start. The hostages audio/911 calls are so compelling, I felt I was inside the building with them.. terrified! Alas, for all the TC “ entertainment” value, I remain hopeless about gun violence slowing down anytime soon. Thank you for this one Mike!!
-
jthorneThe best overall true crime podcastPodcasts need several things to be entertaining. Good content, good narration, captivating stories, unbiased narration and commentary. After searching a while I found Invisible Choir and have been hooked ever since. I’ve considered paying for the bonus content to get more of my fix.
-
lovelymarrrieHands down best way to start listening to podcasts!I honestly have never listened to a single podcast before. Somebody mentioned the name of this podcast on a Facebook comment I looked it up played one episode that was a two-part and I was hooked! This is the first podcast I have ever listened to and will most likely finish till the end! by the way, love all the musical credits one of my favorite parts!
-
BwBrSATruly amazing workThe story telling and victim focus is amazing. Very well done and the focus and respect in each victims story is really what makes this podcast stand out above the rest. Thank you for telling these important and most of the time unheard of stories!
-
buffalosoThe host is what keeps me coming backI love true crime podcasts. Have listened to so many different ones over the years. I gotta say, Michael is the best. The stories are compelling. Most you can find in other podcasts. But unlike other podcasts, Mike tells the stories with compassion AND doesn’t seem like a self centered jerk. A few of the hosts seem to have holier than though attitudes. Mike seems humble. I listen to those for an escape. I’m not looking for political messages, just facts without being pretentious. It’s so good that it’s the first time I’ve paid for a premium podcast. Thanks, Mike. Keep up the great work!
-
