#151 "esg scam" was superb - I appreciate how you allowed the interviewee to speak and develop their thoughts without jumping over them. #235 with Rectenwald was good and I liked how you let him speak a lot. Regarding Walter Block, that guy was somehow invited to speak at RNC2012 pre-event w/ Ron Paul and he spoke about babies as getting free rent in womb and therefore ok to evict. Walter is tone deaf and scattered thoughts.

Let’s face it there are very few really good podcasts. This is not one of them.

Saifedean Ammous is not a critical thinker by any stretch of the imagination. He is closed minded, heavily biased and brainwashed purely to view the world only through the lens of Islam. There is never an instance where Muslims are wrong in conflict with western world, especially any group or country that supports Israel. With that perspective, his voice and any I sights he could share are clouded. He is not one to welcome a discussion, but rather to lecture on how Muslims have been oppressed by the world at large. Spend your time on ANY other podcast.

You were rude to your guest and continually cut him off and didn’t listen to his opinions. Try harder. I know you are Palestinian and have your opinions but in no way did you try and understand your guest’s opinions. I will now NOT listen to any more of your propaganda on Palestine.

I actually love Saif and his books (Principles of Economics is outstanding). Unfortunately the show has been bending heavily towards the conflict in Palestine which is understandable as Saif is Palestinian - I likely would be emotionally charged about this as well if I was in his position. And this post is making no value judgment about the issue, but the show has become much less enjoyable with the constant emotional interjections about Israel and Palestine and the US’s involvement. It has begun to really take away from the show content - hopefully Saif can make a secondary podcast focusing on this issue and keep this one fenced in about economics and BtC.

I do not care about Israel or the British mandate of Palestine. Really enjoy the economics but don’t care for the politics.

I didn’t think I would be interested in a discussion about bitcoin and Islamic law, but it was fascinating. Thank you.

I have learned more about the true nature of money and the economy from Safe’s books and podcast, than I did from college economics classes. Listen to what he says, and what his guests say. It will ring true to you, based on what you actually see in the world. Your brain will explode when you put all the pieces together.

This guy makes himself so smart. Why didn’t he have his guard up on sbf? He often likes to Antagonize main stream. He needs a reality check. Did he just make a correlation that a vegan diet causes obesity. What a dumb f guy.

Saifedean is one of the bravest in the industry. I respect and admire him a lot and i recommend his books to anyone i encounter, weather at home or work.

What a wonderful podcast. I spend a great deal of time trying to imagine the future of the world on a bitcoin standard. It is a difficult exercise to imagine how we get there and ultimately what it will look like. Saifedean is revealing these things through his podcast: it will happen topic by topic, realm by realm. He is showing us in podcast by podcast that it will happen brick by brick.

While its true that Mr. Saifedean Ammous persona comes across as a bit of a curmudgeon but who cares? The Bitcoin Standard success is testament that there is widespread fear of loss of purchasing power in all Fiat currencies that the book and the podcast explains why these concerns are justified. My concern regarding the Bitcoin Standard is the corruption of its stock-to-flow model by the new Bitcoin ETF that can manipulate supply of “paper bitcoin” similar to ETF in Gold and Silver suppressing prices for years. Let’s hope not!

After reading the book and now listening to the podcast I can’t get rid of the feeling that the host lives in a very narrow world and is using Bitcoin and his guests only as a vehicle to repeatedly promote his personal political agenda rather than being informative in a useful way.

Excellent interviews and dispensations of Fiat and Bitcoin information. Also incorporated this podcast is great clear and fresh personal sovereign thinking discussions. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Have Katie the Russian on more often. She has a lot to share. Citadels: let’s look at seeing our homes as “Decentralized Citadels” and prepare ourselves (our homes) as shelters for fellow ‘travelers’ RATHER THAN gathering together in ‘castled fortresses’ and becoming isolated.

Keep it to bitcoin and not your conspiracy theories around other topics like climate change and you hyperbolic statements vilifying those who may disagree with you on those topics.

If you don’t believe in science how can I believe your math?

I’ve learned a ton about macroeconomic and monetary issues that are very enlightening. He comes from a “reformed” academic’s perspective and lifts the veil on academia, government and certain businesses so that listeners can understand why things are the way they are. The guests are very interesting and I wouldn’t be exposed to these points of view if it weren’t for Saifedean Ammous!

I highly recommend this podcast to all those eager for information on a wide range of topics and how Bitcoin interacts with the world we know. Freaking fantastic!!

I wanted to give this podcast a shot. The host is definitely sharp when it comes to bitcoin, but definitely a climate denier saying it’s impossible to point to any place where temps have changed to affect lives, or where oceans have changed to impact people. That’s not ignorance, it’s willful misinformation. If you can overlook views like these, you might find this podcast useful at times. But there are other bitcoin and crypto podcasts where you don’t have to make a terrible compromise like that. You’ll be better served by those, and better off skipping this one.

Was a fan of this podcast. Didn’t necessarily agree with all of Saifedean’s hard right views, but found him to be immensely intelligent on Bitcoin and other topics. Just today he blocked me on Twitter, which is very strange, since I am a nobody on Twitter. To be very clear, I have never interacted with @saifedean on Twitter aside from following him and liking a few of his tweets from time to time. I suspect he blocked me because he saw a thread exchange I had with a different bitcoin maxi / gun nut / anti-gov account. (Not about Bitcoin, actually about kids & gun safety. And by the way, that account did not block me, just called me names). It’s something I see more and more with the Bitcoin community. Absolute hostility to anything resembling civil discourse and a trigger happy cancel culture. Bananas. Anyways, I guess I’ll stop listening to your podcast now, Saifedean. Enjoy the one star review.

I really like the in depth analysis of bitcoin but after hearing Saif try and equate fiat farming to the fiat money system I realized what a know it all fraud this guy really is. As a fourth generation farmer and true environmentalist who cares for and builds my farmland to leave it better and more productive for the next generation his naive and misinformed analysis of production agriculture is truly insulting and makes me doubt everything he claims to know. Seriously disappointing JD

Fantastic mathematical/scientific analysis. Sometimes Saif can come off as stern/arrogant, but his stiff stance is in defense of a misunderstood technology for which uneducated/under-informed people that make unfounded assumptions (so I agree with his tone and approach/ and don’t view it as an Austrian bias as he applies the rules equally on all fronts and not just pointed in the direction of his stance. Truly a fantastic voice for CNS enlightenment. I’ve purchased 7-8 copies of his book for friends/family and have a tremendous respect for his line of thought as it has impacted my train of thought and lifestyle. I thank Saif for his contributions to humanity and highly recommended his educational literature and sound bites.

Great info on btc, but the host/author has a very one sighted and evil approach to dealing with other subjects. For example he claims electric cars are a hoax. He also mocks vegans forgetting that perhaps vegans care about animal suffering more than the environment. Good stuff when he sticks to his wheelhouse. I enjoyed his book. I wish he were nicer and more open minded.

The book and podcast seem to be full of good arguments, except about altcoins and Bitcoin energy use. I am really looking for an intelligent conversation about energy but maxis cannot provide a persuasive argument. Maybe that means no good argument exists. This recent energy episode was weak. Maxis need to explain why Bitcoin mining alternatives should not be considered. That is the question. Comparing it to video games and washing machines is not the point. Compare it to itself. Compare it to other POW in crypto. Is it possible to do POW with less energy? Technically, the answer is 100% yes. How do I know? It already exists with other POW systems. Why not use a less wasteful process? I know why (vested interests of miners), but I never hear maxis address that real question. They always answer the question as if it is either current energy or 0 but that is not the choice.

Saifedean is an awesome teacher and has a gift for providing answers and explaining complex information and concepts.

So much excellent under appreciated content. I definitely recommend to anyone interested in Austrian economics, bitcoin and how to look practically at the world.

I read the book and it opened my eyes and crystallized the reasons of what I only could perceive as gut feelings before... This is a must for every parent that wants his children’s success in life... The podcast is also very interesting and educational.

Dr. Ammous is a excellent teacher of real economics. Bitcoiners and students of money would do well to subscribe. Great resource.

Best book to date on Bitcoin and economics, as well as value proposition of “alt coins.”
