Long time listener here! the spooky listener tales have easily become my favorite content but the tangents have become more frequent and less on topic and they’re using immature language, making the stories difficult to listen to and i wind up turning off the podcast. Even in the regular true crime episodes they seem to go off topic and add their own random opinions too often. And Nicholas has to go! It’s not funny or scary, it’s distracting and ridiculous

I have been listening to morbid off and on for years. I haven’t listened to any podcasts in a while and saw the witch episode and decided to listen. Could not finish it because of Nicolas. I don’t know if this is new but it is like nails on a chalkboard. Hopeful he goes to the light and I can listen again!

I was so excited to find this podcast series because it had so many episodes; however, once I listened to the first one, I was so disappointed. The hosts sound like 15 year old foul mouthed (yes it does warn as explicit)teenagers with their unnecessary cussing and their usage of “like” constantly. I get cussing to emphasize something, but theirs was not needed. Very tacky. They also laugh and giggle throughout the episode. I was very disappointed. I’m hoping they have gotten better with more episodes.

Hello, I am a freaking weirdo. This is my absolute favorite podcast of them all. Ash and Alaina truly feel like your BFF’s. Thank you ladies for doing what you do!

In echoes of laughter, they weave tales of fright With research so sharp, they illuminate the night. Though beginnings may linger, then skip to the Chase. Morbid podcast what a delight!

This is a great podcast to learn about horriffic murders so I am giving it 5 stars. One of the hosts works as a autopsy technician do she has expertise that builds on the stories. Solid comedic chemistry with each other. But a few gripes -Way too much chit chat at the start of each episode. They talk about girly stuff like reality TV and Beyonce and their children and as some random dude it’s excruciating to listen to. Their record is 22 straight minutes of this before getting into the episode. -They believe in ghosts and do episodes about “hauntings”which is really lame in my opinion but a lot of people like it. -Oh my god the astrology. They never shut up about astrology. “Mercury is in retrograde and honestly I am feeling it right now” ugh. Again. I guess it’s a female-oriented show and that’s like, the religion of women these days. -They very often spoil the ending at the start of each episode which is really annoying. They will say whether the killer was caught. No one wants that! -I understand the point of trigger warnings in media that isn’t centered around people getting raped and murdered. And I suppose they are even warranted in this show with some of the particularly grotesque cases, but one trigger warning is enough. We don’t need 9. And also they will flat out refuse to share some of the details about some cases because they’re just too much apparently. Come on. You do a murder podcast. Tell us about the murder. Despite all of that I’ve listened to hundreds of episodes so that’s that.

I love this podcast, it makes me so happy and is always there for me when I’m crocheting, working, exercising, cleaning, or just needing to pass time. They are so good at giving grace to the victims where it is due, as well as tackling tough issues related to the deeper roots of these cases. Also, I love Nicholas and I don’t care what anybody says lol. They always find a way to bring new, fun, and goofy things into such “morbid” topics :)

I’m so over Nicholas. It’s a distraction, not funny, and just dumb. What are you doing?

Love these ladies. The stories they tell are very interesting. The research and effort put into this show is very appreciated. That being said Nicholas is very annoying and distracting and I hope he’s not a long term “guest” of the show.

It’s distracting. I lose interest in whatever the story is. I often just don’t finish the episode. Please get rid of it!!!!

I have been a huge fan for years but the addition of Nicholas is like nails on a chalkboard. One gimmicky episode was more than enough. Now any time I start a new episode & he’s involved I stop listening 💔💔💔

I really enjoy the podcast but Nicholas is annoying and distracting. That sound is very jarring or grating while trying to listen to the podcast.

Love the podcast. But I don’t like the constant add in about politics or the dislike you guys add in regarding religion and God. It can come off very offensive. I would love for the podcasts to just be about the cases and not have to include those things. You have a lot of listeners but a lot of us take offense to those kinds of things. And I don’t think your intention is to offend us.

2 stars because i enjoy the way they talk about the case .. whenever they eventually get around to it. it’s really hard to get through how easily distracted and off topic they can become. once they’re done being distracted, a commercial comes. i love their personalities, they’re more fit for comedy .. true crime is too serious to joke around with.

I love both ladies. The only thing I wish is if Ash could slow down reading her stories! It sounds like she’s rushing through it way too fast. But I still love all your stuff! Thank you both! And Nicholas I love him too!!

I absolve this podcast but unfortunately cannot listen to the episodes with ghost Nicholas. I’m a relatively newer listener and don’t know how long they have been doing this but it has made listening nearly impossible.

A coworker recommended this podcast and I’m so glad I checked it out. I started with more recent listener tales and decided to start from episode 1. Love these ladies and their silliness. Also, please bring back the mini morbid theme song. It really captures how silly Ash is. Yes, the subject matter should be handled with grace and respect, but it is also under the comedy section.

I actually like the banter at the beginning of the podcasts. Idk why others people hate it so much. I would really enjoy a podcasts of you guys talking about random things .

I’ve listened to these ladies since 2020, but I cannot handle the newly added Nicholas. He comes out of no where, is super loud, and literally interrupts them with no actual content. Really obnoxious. He’s so loud, I can’t listen with earbuds.

Please get rid of the weird voice box thing y’all have named Nicholas. It’s way too loud and it’s distracting. It’s ruining the show. I could listen to y’all for hours, but now I can hardly make it 10 minutes into the episode without turning it off. I really miss the show! Please get rid of Nicholas!

I’ve been listening now for about 3 months. I’ve been listening to the latest episodes first and they got me hooked…. So… as one does… I’ve started listening from the very start. Gawd, I love you witchy gals so much! Selfishly, I’m thankful to find your podcast so much later on so I have SO much to binge! Woot woot! Keep it weird homies!

The stories are good and they give good details and it’s good that they have their own opinions but they talk too much in the beginning and I wanted to just get right in the story. But besides that it’s definitely worth it.

I used to love this podcast & have listened from the beginning with my daughters recommendation. They no longer listen to your podcast & I am still trying to hold on. I loved your banter, but now it gets too silly sometimes. Get rid of the Nicholas Ghost app! Just annoying. Your stories in the beginning were deeply researched & informed & now, not so much. I feel your researchers are writing all your stories..and I get it. You both have busy lives now. I miss the old episodes. I never give negative reviews because I’m not a person who likes to make people feel bad. I still want to listen, but I miss the older version of your podcast.

Love the show but have to say Nicholas has gotten really distracting and dragging him out across multiple episodes makes it difficult to suspend my disbelief, if you catch what I’m saying.

Ok i’ve been a listener for about 6 years now, and I always found Listener tales to be my favorite. But since they started playing ghost tube with the interrupting voice in the background, I honestly cannot bear to listen. It sound so sharp and startling with headphones on, just kills the vibe. My adhd could never. I’m now considering cancelling my wondery subscription since I mainly had it for Morbid.

I love all the laughs, the subject matter can be very distressing and it can take a toll on our psyche, but these ladies make it so it’s more “digestible.” There is nothing that I would change about any of it.

It’s like a toddler who keeps interrupting while the grownups talk. That said, I love this show. I love the commentary, even the politics. I can always skip ahead if I want to get straight to the story. Keep it up ladies. Just fire Nicholas.
