    I like this podcast
I enjoy the banter and the diversity on this show. I liked it enough to go on Patreon but sadly I found the paid content was not worth my $

    Engaging, interesting relatable
I connect with the group of people well, brings me my childhood memories of watching Salman Khan movies since MPK. Salman Khan is my connect to Hindi cinema and the language Obviously I understand Asim feelings better

I feel as if I'm hanging out with friends
I am so happy to have found this podcast and especially that it's in English. Each episode makes me feel as if I'm hanging out with my movie buddies. Not only is it entertaining but I learn so much about Indian culture and Bollywood politics, plus about living in Belgium.

    Love the show!!!
This podcast is tailor made for a nostalgic Bollywood fan like me - the perfect mix of critique, humor and fangirling over 90s cinema and more. I love feeling like I am sitting and chatting with my friends ... and Amrita has the most infectious laugh in the world! Love you guys!! 💖💖

Fun podcast to brighten your day.
I love Bollywood movies, and even more dissecting them. So listening to this podcast has both been fun & full of nostalgia. I was a bit miffed at discovering it so late (mid 2020), but this meant I had a lot of content to consume during the pandemic. I dreaded episodes of iffy movies (like chori chori chupke chukpe), but even those turned out to be fun with lots of Bollywood gossip. Apart from Bollywood, the hosts also discuss the latest popular shows (indian or otherwise) giving an escape Netflix scrolling:) Finally, I really appreciated the hosts doing the podcast regularly through the rough year that was 2020.

    A bright spot
I’ve been listening to Khandaan for over a year now and I still look forward to finding new episodes in my feed. I can relate to Asim as a desi kid growing up in relative isolation from the community, finding joy and sense of identity in bollywood films. Amrita and Sujoy bring really refreshing, informed perspectives too. I’ve had so many laughs with these three and some genuine introspection about the movies I’ve loved for decades. Highly recommend Khandaan!

    Love the podcast
Loving this podcast - the fact that it’s super long is always a plus! Asim, Sujoy, Amrita are entertaining hosts with their own individual opinions. Of the three, I tend to agree most with Amrita’s opinions - I love how savage Amrita is about Aamir, I totally agree with her comments but could never tell what I really feel about him to someone in real life because everyone I know seems to love Aamir 🙈. BTW Asim - even I listen to this podcast while cooking and cleaning 😂 sorry for bursting the bubble buddy. I’m sure you do have fans who sip wine while listening to this podcast in their plush living rooms 😉. I also love how Amrita calls you out for mispronouncing half of Bollywood folks names. That being said, Asim is too funny and very entertaining to listen to as he has no filter and hilarious while being self-aware. Sujoy is the cool, chilled out dude who has the most Bollywood knowledge of the three - I also love Khoon Bhari Maang btw! Keep up the good work guys.

Khandaan podcast is one the best podcasts available. It makes you smile and laugh all throughout. Worth listening to on long rides or even when you want to get you mind off life.

    Please keep recoding new episodes
Really enjoyed you guys talking about the stuff you all are reading and watching. Totally agree with Asim about She. It was so sleazy but weirdly watchable.

    Really enjoyable
I found this podcast because I was watching a lot of Bollywood movies and wanted some context. It provides that as well as humor and insight. My one suggestion would be to invest in better sound quality. A decent mic isn’t that expensive and I think most people will switch off a podcast that sounds like it’s over Skype. It says a lot that I still love and listen regularly in spite of the bad sound. It’s just so nice to hear others discuss Shah Rukh’s hair and eyes with love. My friends just say “bless you” when I mention his name because they think I’ve sneezed. I love love love Amrita’s jokes especially about how tiny Aamir Khan is. Would love to hear you discuss Duplicate.

    The funniest Bollywood podcast!
I’ve been listening to this pod since the start of the year and have thoroughly enjoyed every episode. It’s been great to discover Khan films that I’ve never seen and revisit favorites. I also really like listening to you all talk about new non-Khan films and comment on bolly gossip! SRK is my guy so really hope you all do an episode on Main Hoon Na soon. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate the effort but there’s room for improvement
I’m enjoying this podcast and after listening to 10+ episodes I’m liking it much more than I did initially. I like the conversations, they’re hilarious and also provide great analysis. I do get annoyed with Amrita. She tends to speak in circles or come off as awkward at times. Otherwise I am enjoying it. Please keep it up we appreciate the effort!

    Best Khan podcast
You guys are the best. Look forward every new episodes and till then I have no problem going back to old episodes and replaying. Of course I want more Pitu. And for your next episode, did you know Shruti Hasan is in the new USA series Treadstone?

Proud to be part of this Khandaan
This is hands down the best podcast on Khans. All of the hosts are hilarious and relatable. I get my Bollywood news dose and a review of a Khan movie in one place. They are very real about the movie reviews and share some personal stories attached to the world of Bollywood. My favorite comedian is Asim, favorite insider scoop is Sujoy and favorite rant person is Amrita. Bottom line is you gotta get this Podcast Bro!! 😜

    Bollywood love reignited!
Just discovered this podcast a few weeks back and love it!!!!! It’s been hard for me to find people in the Bay Area who can talk about Bollywood the way you all do. It’s generally very hard to find people who can unabashedly criticise Bollywood while simultaneously expressing their love for it. I found that here. Thank you :)

    Love the gupshup and analysis
Hi team Khaandaan, I’ve just discovered your show and am loving it. You guys have been giving me company on my flights, walks and commute. I have been savoring each episode! Your commentary is thoughtful, and funny! Thanks so much! @nitamishra

    Best Bollywood Podcast
I started listening 2 weeks ago and quickly got through all the episodes because of how entertaining they were. I’m constantly laughing like an idiot in public spaces while listening to the episodes. I’m a huge Aamir fan but love Amrita’s constant bashing of him bc it’s so funny. There was one episode where she just kept going on and on and Asim was like you’re still going?! I was in tears. There’s really thoughtful insight and everyone is super woke and call out problematic actors and tropes in Bollywood which I def appreciate. Also, they’re all really respectful of each other and appreciate differences of opinions. They work really well of each other. I find myself looking forward a new episode all the time.

    Just another obsessed fan.
The first episode I had heard was the Race 3 review where Asim and Sujoy shat on it like nobody’s business, on a most boring walk(generally) from department to dorm and I cried with laughter all the way. Have been obsessed with the episodes ever since! Special shoutout to Sujoy’s live tweets while watching the movies for the podcast. They are a riot! Needless to say, I wish the episodes were more frequent, but thanks! You guys are amazing! :D

    Always fun
I’m only here cause some hater upset Asim on Twitter and that’s not cool. I really like this podcast because it goes over all the movies I’ve grown up hearing about. I also like the balance of the commentary on new Bollywood developments and the deep dive into a movie often set in the past. I like that all the hosts are woke and are quick to cancel problematic Bollywood celebrities( which is everyone in Bollywood). 🖤🖤🖤

New to Bollywood, THIS IS GREAT
I’m new to Bollywood, I’ve never been exposed to anything Bollywood ever untill I had Chennai express. Since I’ve watched dozens of Bollywood movies, but given my geological location, I haven’t been able to be exposed to the culture behind Bollywood, turns out I’m not the only one who thinks Katrina kaif can’t act! THIS PODCAST finally gives me insight to a movies and everything culturally about it. 10/10 would recommend. Although I think the swearing could be toned down, doesn’t match the feel of the pod.

    Nostalgia and fun
I revisit my school and college days with this podcast, because I’ve grown up watching the Khan movies. Always wanted to discuss these movies with someone but couldn’t. Listening To Asim, Amrita and Sujoy is fun, the conversations are very relatable and brings back a lot of memories. All 3 hosts and guests on this show seem to have very different sensibilities and preferences when it comes to Bollywood movies, and I find it very interesting to hear everyone’s point of view. I also like to hear about the latest trailers and film reviews on this show. Thanks guys for taking out time from your busy lives to produce this show, i listen to it on the road and also at work when it’s usually slow on Mondays and Fridays . Cheers !

    More please!
This is full on Bollywood entertainment filled with nostalgia of 90s masala movie reviews and gossips. Amrita is hilarious and wish they bring Beth for more episodes!

    Entertaining Podcast
If you are looking for entertaining insights about the “Khan” movies - this is the podcast for you. The three hosts are funny, witty and know their Bollywood. They talk about the movies everyone loves and the movies everyone hates and then sometimes, about the movies that make you go how-does-that-movie-even-exist! Must subscribe.

    Love it!
I wish you guys uploaded more often! But please keep going!!

    Keep the good times rolling!
I learned of Upodcast and Khandaan from Twitter a few weeks ago. Since I have had no other experiences with podcasts (or even talk radio) before, it took me a hot minute to start downloading & listening. Now I wish I had come earlier, as I didn't know what I was missing! I started on Episode 1 on a Thursday morning and binge-listened every chance I got until I was caught up to the "episode-to-date" by Monday afternoon. Great stuff, I had a real good time! So much I listened to conversations that happened months ago & I wish I could have contributed then when it was topical. But I am here now and am ready to be interactive. PS: I am unapologetically madly in love with Aamir Khan: the actor, the activist, the man.

    So funny!
I've been listening to Asim and friends for a while now and this new Khan-centric version of the podcast is hilarious but they do also sneak in some good critiques. The episode on Race 3 was a classic for sure! I love Asim's unabashed love for Salman (which I can never share but totally respect), Amrita's take no prisoners feminist attitude (which I share along with a low tolerance for pretentious Aamir), and Sujoy is the perfect "straight" man with his deadpan and bemused responses. The one criticism I have is that there is not enough Saif Ali Khan in the podcast because he is the real King of the Khans for me;)
  • dingax1983
    Fun podcast
It is fun revisiting the good, the bad and especially the mediocre of the 3 Khans. All 3 hosts have their own unique voice but most of all they have fun. I come from each episode with a smile on my face.

    Great idea!
I've been listening since the first episode. This is a great idea for a podcast! Really enjoy rehashing some of my old favorites. Keep it up! Would also like to add - 1) it's a bit confusing that you can find this podcast under "The Khandaan Podcast" and also "UPodcast" and 2) please do some episodes discussing recent releases too, was great when ya'll discussed Padmaavat!
