    Absolutely amazing
I just finished binge listening the first two seasons and it is my favorite thing to listen to. I love the players and the characters. The players really seem step into their character’s mind and they crack so many jokes. Great show guys (and gal) and keep up the good work.👍👍👍 1000 stars. Update ( it says 1 star but it should say 5 stars😭)

    Best show I’ve listened two
I recently started listening to the "Make Believe Heroes" podcast and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. The storytelling and production quality are top-notch, and the way the characters and their world are brought to life is truly captivating. The engaging plot and the dynamic interactions between the characters make each episode a real treat to listen to. Whether you're a fan of fantasy or just enjoy a well-told story, "Make Believe Heroes" is definitely worth a listen. Highly recommended! That review is what the AI had to say about the show, but the reality is different. In truth, the show is beyond words! That being said there are still a few minor problems, for example, the existence of the Orange Drakeonkeli. We are all well aware of this dragon's existence yet Pual chooses to keep it a secret, my guess is it's Juniper.

I’m in the first episode of S5 and I’m finally leaving a review bc I’ve never heard me as call back with a small chance I can get a call out. You guys made me want to play and I never played and I want to b a DM like Paul. I’m trying to write a Star Wars one

    An utterly incredible podcast
This podcast has given me great joy throughout the last six years of my life, the campaign is amazingly well planned and the plot twists invariably throw you for a loop. The fact that this freely accessible podcast is better produced than many an audiobook that I have listened to is absolutely fantastic. All in all, this podcast is excellent and should be given a listen, and I just am so glad that these people have taken so much time out of their lives to create this extraordinary production.

    Makes Me Fuzzy
I started listening to this podcast in between season 4 and 5. I binged the entire show in a few months and absolutely loved it. It is so wholesome, (if you ignore the ear stealing), and it makes me happy and fuzzy inside. Thank you guys for carrying me through the some of the darker times of my life. You are my Polaris.

    My favorite podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. The players funny remarks have kept me laughing through so many long car and plane rides. Can't wait for the Orange Drakonkeli to debut in Make Believe Villains.

Saw a dude named Chicken Bobin reviewin too
I have unfortunately had long pauses throughout my time listening to this podcast, but I am always pleased when I listen to more of its story unfold. The Battle Bards sound effects definitely help to create an entertaining immersion for the audience, and I am always enthusiastic to hear dramatic scenes ensue Spicy Battle Bards meatball out ~😎~

Best Podcast In the Existence of the Imaginable Universe
Make-believe heroes is an exquisite Dungeons and Dragons podcast filled wild fantasy adventures and lovable casts of characters. This is one of those podcasts where you can tell that the makers of it truly care deeply about what they’re putting out there. The storylines and writing of MBH is absolutely perfect, with intricate storylines and plot, as well as in depth character who inspire yet have there own relatable faults. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PODCAST!!! (To you and the crew, Paul, you guys rock and have meant so much to me. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The best (funniest) D&D podcast next to Critical Roll
This is an amazing podcast that I love to death. My mom introduced me to this telling me how it was so funny. I started listening and love it to death!! My favorite people on here are probably Allen, Caleb (Red as of S1), and Jeffery. You all are amazing and need to be more well known. Edit: as of this edit here (July 3rd 2023) I’ve listened all the way up to season 3 and I’m close to its end. AND I LOVE THIS PODCAST SO MUCH MORE THAN BEFORE! The writing, the characters, Jeffery, Jeremy, Paul, Felicia (sorry if I miswrote your name), and Allen (sorry if I misspelled your name) are all amazing (especially Jeffery and Jeremy)! Saul has to be my new favorite character and I can’t wait to get through the rest and listen to you all play your characters in season 5! Overall, best D&D podcast out there! (A second edit): I have since started season 4, and it’s great, and Jeffery is right that the orange drakonkelly is real.

Please read this review on the show. I’ve been waiting years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my favorite podcast ever I’ve been listening for years and have the story line memorized I tell all my friends to listen to this amazing podcast it’s family friendly and has a deep story and am so excited to see where it goes next (I hope to see you at MBH con) PS I tried to explain this whole podcast to my grandma it took hours just to try and get her to understand but she never did 🥲
  • Pandacaro
    Char is the best
I cannot image a better podcast than this one. The players not only are good role players, clean, and funny, but respect each other and sometimes Paul. The story is rich and so detailed through every episode. But the one character that has risen above the rest is Char. He is truly an embodiment of great character and heart. This man deserves his own Put-put mini golf course, in his honor. But all this aside, I am so grateful for this podcast and all it has contributed to my life. Thank you for the friendships, laughs, and love that you have given me and my family. The true Orange Drakonkeli are the friends we made on the way (or it’s just Char) -Pandacaro
  • FailureWithEightO’s
I love all of you people’s and absolutely love your podcast
Have Jeffery read all of this please I love dnd. I just don’t understand how you do it. Love you and keep up the good work. WHO IS THE SHADE???!!!??!!! Also, you all make it seem like we’re all at the table with you guys. So awesome. Also, please have Jeffery read the next part: Jeremy is a pyromaniac, Felicia is bored with life, and Paul is, quote, “just why”. Love y’all Update: I mean to say that all of you need therapists and than need to pay for their therapists to get therapy please kill everyone except Jeffery because he is the embodiment of all of my dnd characters: dumb, slow on the uptake, and strangely efficient but in the wrong way. Edit: I hate Paul for obvious reasons Also, Jeremy, I was looking back at Lauric backstory. Love Lauric, but you need to be more of an exciting dm Edit: why is the shade. Also otonia deserved to die

    Best podcast to ever exist!!!!!!!!!
This is the best podcast I have ever listened to. I was recommended it by a friend and immediately loved it. The role playing is amazing, the DMing is out of this world in the way, that even though I am not there, I feel like I am sitting at the table with them. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good Dungeons & Dragons podcast that is family friendly. Also please ignore my name it was given to me by someone who I cannot recall, also that one orc who ran that whole journey just to explode himself is the absolute best ever. Season 5!!!!!!!! Is Crazy, what is happening(I’m not going to spoil) but it is absolutely annoying the cliff hangers. Once again great podcast. You are the wings above my wind!

    Very Unique and Amazing Podcast
This podcast is THE best and cleanest DnD podcast. The characters are very good and Paul is an amazing DM. My favorite characters, not necessarily in order, are Kris (#1), Sir Vance, Brackle, (unfortunately for Jeffrey) Lauric, and (fortunately for Jeffrey) Kyorg. I love how each season has new and returning characters, new classes, and sometimes higher levels. Loving the level 11-12 characters in Season 5. Almost caught up all the way after a year or so. I hope more stuff comes out after Season 5. Thank you for listening to this TED Talk. Goodbye.

    For Jeffrey
(Instead of a period, I’m going to take Zach’s advice and write a review for Jeffrey to read.) SPOILERS!!!!!! This is an incredible podcast about two heroes named Sir Vance Oftawol and Kyorg, and the minor supporting characters who accompany these two heroes on their quests. It’s hard to choose a favorite character, but I would have to go with Kyorg or Sir Vance. And there are also some other great people in the show. Such as Paul the DM, who is great because he let Kyorg be a werewolf and have a pet crab, and because he brought back Sir Vance in season three. And Kris, because he made Kyorg a cool hand. Some of my other favorite characters are Joseph Stormbright, Hadrian Goldworthy, Heles, and Gus. My favorite scenes have probably been the ones with Sir Vance and Kyorg. I have just finished listening to season 4, and I’m excited to hear season 5 where the orange drakon kelli defeats Blackfire. Also, Jem will become the purple drakon kelli in season nine. The only bad thing about this podcast is Lauric, but fortunately Sir Vance took care of that problem. Also SPAGHET!!! ITS THE PEOPLES CHAMPION!!! P.s. I’ll write a real review once Jeffrey reads this on the air.

My Favorite Podcast of. All. Time. (understatement)
I absolutely love this show! The DMing is incredible (Paul, your voice is so amazing btw) Jeffrey (sorry if I spelled your name wrong), your hilarious comments always bring a goblin reminiscent toothy smile to my face. In fact, all of the players do an exceptional job at role playing, and also have fun together. Among many (when I say many, I mean many) other draws to this podcast, the fact that the jokes are all family-friendly is a great thing to add. (Rambling brings joy to my life so bear with me). My favorite episode was probably Kyorgi and the Corgi, simply because of the AMAZING role-playing in the episode. KYORG IS THE BEST!!! #IT’STHEPEOPLE’SCHAMPION!!! #SAVETHETREE #WELOVEYOUJEFFREY!!!(NOTINAWEIRDWAY)

A Rich Story and Compelling Characters
Started listening a month ago and I’m starting Season 4. Couldn’t wait to write a review any longer. This podcast has made my hour long drives to and from work much more bearable as Paul and friends weave a tapestry of good story and laughs. I really enjoying having a actual play podcast that I can listen to without cussing being a part of the show and that is so well produced. Hope to meet these legends one day.

    Entertaining, Fun, and Spicy!
Fun podcast with a mix of personalities. The regulars are great and the occasional step ins bring a good dynamic. I appreciate the profanity free audio and I’m never worried if my kids overhear the podcast. Plus, it’s the only podcast where the orange draconkeli is canon. Facts!

    Hi! It’s Pi!
Hello amazing humans! This is a fantastic podcast and these peoples have gotten me through some tough times in my life. Around 2018 I turned 17, yep that’s right “17!!!” I was struggling with homeschooling and I was pulled out of most of my extra curricular activities until I graduated. During this time I discovered the pre-downloaded podcast app on my iPad. Make Believe Heroes got me through hours, days, weeks and months etc of studying, quizzes, and tests. I can honestly say I would have never gotten up the courage to get my GED in 2020 without this podcast. Thank you guys for all you do, you do so much more than you know!! YOU'RE THE BEST!!!

    Family-Friendly Adventure
By chance, I stumbled upon this podcast while browsing my recommended section on Amazon Music and immediately I fell in love with it. As a long-time dice role-playing family, the story and interaction of friends brought back a lot of nostalgia and warm feelings. When talking about the next upcoming game night, I said, “Hey- you know what podcast I just started following? It’s called Make-Believe Heroes” and my 15 year old daughter goes, “No way!! Meee tooooo!!!!” and we geeked out over how good it was. So then my 10 year old son asked if he could listen to. I love that this podcast is family friendly, and we can all enjoy it. And now, we’re planning our next D

    Great
This is da best podcast for D&D that I’ve ever heard. It’s also completely free of profanity, which literally does not exist in almost every other D&D podcast where they swear 85 times per episode. SO SPICYYYYYYYY
  • MegaMrBob11
    Love it.
You have to listen. If you don’t. You will forever regret it. These guys are amazing. I would like more episodes per week because it’s so good.😁Paul is a amazing dm and all always makes the story always interesting and never boring. Sir Vance is my favorite character by far. I have been listening to this show for a few weeks it’s my go to podcast to listen to before bed or when I’m in the car. I love how it’s always family friendly and clean. It has inspired me to make my own dnd podcast that is in the works right now. ( I’m calling it the storytellers tavern what do you guys think? ) anyways I love this podcast and it deserves every single five star review.
  • HockeyDude7922
    Amazing podcast!
I’ve tried listening to a lot of different actual play D&D podcast. This is one of the few that feels complete, it’s funny, enjoyable, clean, and everyone playing a seems to be having a good time. Paul is a great dungeon master and does an amazing job with all the sound effects. I started listening a few months ago and I couldn’t imagine waiting a week for a new episode. Keep up the good work
  • artfull fun
Congratulations you made me cry!?!? In a good way.
I just discovered the podcast no longer than a month maybe two ago now, and I have binge listened to all of season one, henceforth why I cried, and most of season two. I have only ever found one other clean dnd podcast before this one and I am so excited that there are more. If I may Suggest an other dnd podcast I would suggest, The Damage Guild, which is the other clean dnd podcast I listen to. Forever a fan of make believe heroes, side show comedy, and player singalongs. Your self proclaimed fantasy fanatic, KetchLee Brookfinder or Captain Brook

You can not listen if you are only 17…
I am now 17. I started listening to this podcast about 2 months ago ago and worked through all 5 seasons so far, and I’m sad because I don’t have a constant flow of you all playing! It’s so great and I enjoy listening so much! Thank you all and I appreciatte the time and the effort that all of you and Especially Paul have our unit this. I know, also as and editor, it takes a lot of time and patience. Thanks so much!!
  • dart n pouncer
    The champion dnd podcast!
Make Jeffery read with vigor please. First of all Mogart is the greatest character! Lauric was better than sir Vance. Just sayin. This is the spiciest spagett of all time! It is clean, fun, and involves dnd. You will not regret listening. You might cry when it is over though! 😭. MBH is so fun and all of the players are great. Even if you know nothing about dnd. Also, spoilers, I cannot wait for the epic showdown when the orange DraconKelly shows up and tanks everyone in the end. It will happen Paul! P.S. please bring back atonía! She was the best goddess!
  • T: Rees

    CRAZY AWESOME PODCAST!!!
A while back i listened to this podcast, but then i didn’t really have time to keep up with the episodes much, so after a year I remembered what it was called again and I decided to listen to it. I started over at the beginning and I am on season two so far. This podcast inspired me to make my own world to run instead of using other people’s. This is the best podcast ever, the roleplaying, storyline, and character development leave nothing more to be desired. Keep up the great work yall.

HOW DOES THIS ONLY HAVE 4.9 STARS IT SHOULD HAVE 5!!!
I’m honestly obsessed with this podcast. As a beginner DM I really look up to Paul and admire his skills. The players roll playing is amazing and I sometimes find myself wondering why my players are so miserably bad at it compared to them. I fully recommend this podcast and can find absolutely no problems with it. But you know what they say, love is blind so you should give it a try and see for your self before you follow my advice.

This podcast is awesome to binge! Allen is the best, his comments are awesome, voices a riot, and all of his characters are a joy to listen to! I wish I could give this more stars. I believe in the Orange dra-kon Kelly! (Sorry if there are any misspellings). From, Your biggest fan

    Greetings
These guys (and also that one girl) are the bomb.com. Hilarious, clean, etc. I take Paul’s (the DM) view. No Orange Drakon-Kelly is in existence, unless he brings him into season twelve somehow. (It will probably be voiced by Jeffery). P. S. I hope you guys realize you can never stop, otherwise I would go into withdrawal. P. P. S. I AM seventeen, but I listen anyways. So there Jeffery.

    103% recommend!
This is definitely the best D&D podcast ever, probably just the best podcast ever. I’ve been wanting to do D&D for a while and your podcast finally inspired me to start DMing a campaign with my friends and I recommend this podcast to all the players. You’re all hilarious and the story is splendid! I hope you continue playing games in Manumi after season five and I can’t wait to witness the end of this epic saga. Also: What were y’all’s thoughts on D&D: Honor Among Thieves?
