DSabbatiniToo bitter, moving onListened for years but has become unbearable lately. I get that you’re disappointed with Elon, upset about Tesla governance and pessimistic about FSD, but let it go. Talk less about Tesla if you need to but maintain a focus on the electric energy transition. No need to spend time on DOGE or American politicians.
-
Peter (Wombat Model 3)Stop the biasFollowed it basically from the first episode. Got now unbearable since Fred divested from Tesla - please come back to EVs and being balanced… no connection whatsoever between Elon’s speech at inauguration with EVs or solar energy. “Battery included” and “Out of spec” are now the go-to podcasts for me. Sad.

Blizzard1s2dGreat show, full of factual information about the car industryUsually good and a fun talk about fun cars on the cutting edge. BUT! Way too much extremely boring Tesla stuff, Elon Musk is dead to me after sicing internet mobs on so many reporters, scientists, and ordinary trans people. Especially now that he bought the government for a mob boss rubber-stamping extreme white-nationalist fundamentalist-Christian attacks on our American Constitution all day long.

Bee Me 90211LONG TIME SUBSCRIBER MUST SAY GOODBYESadly this podcast which I have been listening to since 2017 has become painful to listen to. Fred has become obsessed in every podcast with everything and anything he can find fault with Elon Musk and Tesla. Do they have their faults? Of course. Being a pioneer one helping to save the planet is not easy. Seth’s consistent responses of I don’t know, maybe, could be, we will see is dull at best. Good bye. 🥲

BrucemcdouToo RamblingI appreciate any and all podcasts that cover news and information honestly and in an even-handed way. However, there’s no reason for the information they cover to take as long as they do. The pauses, the digressions, and the side jokes, distract and frankly waste your listeners time. Listen to EV News daily for how to cover everything you do in 1/3 or 1/4 of the time. I’m sure I’m not the only person who would like to listen to your podcast but get frustrated with the chaff.
-
mblaze74Comprehensive CoverageGreat up to date EV information and industry insights
-
israndyContinues to be the best EV podcastThis is where I get all my electric vehicle news, I would say it’s fair and balanced, but Fox News usurped that term to mean “alternative facts”
-
Good point davidToo badLooks like you’ve gone full Elon Derangement. Tesla is a disaster and everything is on fire because Elon started tweeting? Get rid of your bias and get back to the facts.
-
steeler nut 66Being overtly biasedExtreme anti-Tesla reporting is getting old. 100% of things talked about regarding Tesla are negative now and Fred finishes every negative comment about Tessa with a slight giggle. Showing how much he personally wishes Tesla to fail. He even insinuated they would fail, and then when a commenter pointed that out he tried to deny it. Yet he truly insinuated Tesla likely to fail in the coming years. I personally love all electric cars and the electric industry and that’s what I started listening 4-5 years ago. But this past year I’ll I hear is how much Fred dislikes Elon and wishes an entire company ill will because of one man who he disagrees politically with.

BooftarAnti EV EV podcastSadly, Has become an anti EV podcast. Hoping they change. Was once a great podcast.
-
HaggisTacoBiasIt’s unfortunate that you turned the show into a session of pontificating on American politics. Please understand that a major majority of the country are not misogynist, as you implied in the episode I heard. Please have some respect for the other considerations that drive people’s decisions. Don’t be so reductive, it’s embarrassing. Overall, local quality.

Podcast Review2Disappointment after many years of listeningDon’t waste your time. Disappointed in how these two hosts focus episode after episode on Elon. Every episode is about Elon and not electric vehicles and other products. The opinions of Elon has affected the hosts ability to run a productive and exciting show. This used to be a great podcast for many years. Now this is simply a political driven show. There are many better podcasts on EVs. This is not news.
-
nrooseThanksThank you for bringing a lot of rationality and personal experience to the topic. But please increase the voice audio level. All other podcasts and videos and driving directions have voices that are considerably louder than yours.
-
EyeTuneyCutting edge EV news…This duo seems to have an inside track on what is and what’s coming in the EV universe. Pretty casual presentation, but they do serious research. If you’re into EV‘s, Electrek is the place to click.
-
_Lee_RLove these guys.Always infotainment.
-
E dogsterTo politicalObviously u hate Elon. Keep political views out of content please
-
Marc-SanJoseFantastic podcast on EVsI am a regular listener and very much appreciate the expertise that Fred and Seth provide. They cover a wide range of EV topics and always shed light with an unbiased, well researched approach. I highly recommend this show. Kudos!
-
Greg PolenGreatVery informational
-
evgroveGreat show but keep politics outI do enjoy the show and listen to it frequently but I would prefer the few occasions you talk about it do yourself a favor and keep on topic. Latest episode they specifically say they are not going to talk about politics but a few minutes later the criticisms began. Disappointing they chose to slam politicians as opposed to focusing on how their policies impact the EV market.
-
My-Nickname-Was-Taken!MissionGreatly appreciate the frank and honest discussion regarding the divergence of Musk and the mission. Would relish regular segments devoted to emerging energy density tech and who is incorporating into their production (eg, Rivian’s 46xx cell).
-
CapnSuperstarElon Derangement SyndromeCame for news about the EV industry. Saddened by the fact that all these guys ever seem to talk about is their hatred for Elon Musk. Shouldn’t there be more to discuss?
-
Lance419Great content!Always a good show to listen.
-
BanodyneObjective Not FanboysWhat i like best is that they’re EV enthusiasts but they call out when a product or person is not good.
-
JLM-BBGreat OG EV podcastA solid weekly recap of EV news. Generally Tesla-heavy up front, but you can skip through the Musky info if that’s not your bag.
-
PitchspeederUsed to be goodNow it is just anti Elon garbage. How about you get back to reporting on EVs, and leave your politics out of the show Fred. I’m sorry he hurt you so badly.
-
JBH MDGood content but significant technical glitchesDownloads on Apple days late, sometimes wrong episodes, surprising from a Mac affiliated company
-
DragosMTesla hatersUsed to be my to go EV show, now I cannot stand them as all they do they criticize the only successful American electric car company!
-
Aslam AzadTesla bad. Rivian good.My title pretty much sums up this podcast. Fred acts like he’s being a saint by occasionally saying something nice about Tesla or Elon. In reality it’s just his way of excusing himself for unfairly criticizing them to no end later. As for Seth, he’ll spare no opportunity to bash the company while giving Rivian the benefit of the doubt while they continue to lose billions. Tesla is not perfect but neither is any other company. Elon is not perfect. Neither is any other human being. But Fred and Seth expect them to be or else here comes the bashing. FSD V12 is amazing and instead of conceding that they were wrong, they continue to claim that it’s garbage. Ridiculous.
-
Pdxer2011BalancedThis weekly covers a range of EV issues with a substantial covers of Tesla. I especially appreciate their takes on Elon maneuvers and industry information. Fresh every week. Keep up the good work.
-
Myke222 4Liked the electric part, not the politics negativityUsed to like this show when it was positive. The hosts do not seem tolerant of folks in the middle anymore and complain way too much about twitter and PR. Frequently say ‘not a good look’
-
donsullivanToo much Tesla biasToo much Tesla bias
-
Dooree-mapOnly general EV news, not in-depth EV tech, Elon hatredThe show only provides EV news. The hosts don’t have enough engineering background to lead in-depth conversations. The hosts have enough general knowledge and some ok logic. Recently the hosts showed a lot of prejudice conversations against Elon. Their Elon’s hatred is obvious but they claims they are not. All of the negative conversations attached with Elon and Tesla helped to get more people join the conversations/ arguments which increases internet traffic for the show and benefits the show. This is not a good way to do business in my opinion. It’s similar to the way majority of media is doing right now.
-
Free Range BeefcakeBest Podcast! This is the best podcast on one of the most important issues facing humanity! The information here is unbiased and invaluable. I recommend this to anybody, the questions at the end alone are worth the price of admission!
-
Russ0756zLoves hating on TeslaThis podcast used to deliver news in an unbiased fashion. Seems they have developed a serious dislike of Elon Musk which clearly impacts their reporting. Apparently Fred believes because he owns a few shares of Tesla gives him license to tilt almost all reporting of Tesla negative. Seth love lol lol cut Rivian slack and beat up on Tesla at every turn. They need to keep their bias in check if they want to consider themselves ‘journalists’.
-
ZzzzysxAwesome show with plenty of knowledge!Awesome show with plenty of knowledge to go around and keep up with the constant evolution of EVs.
-
KhaalisCompliment and Constructive CriticismYou two are have put together a wonderful show. You are a staple in my podcast listening, especially when I was the market for an EV (and just as much since I bought an EV). I have one thing to share that might improve the show…Fred please don’t cut Seth off as he is speaking. Your audience would really like to hear his full thoughts. For example listen to the last show, to be more exact listen to the portion when Seth starts to speak on the Cybertruck delivery event and the baseball is brought up. In those moments Fred you don’t have to jump in and try to correct Seth, let him speak; it helps with the flow of the show. I gave 4 of 5, but if you can correct that I would be extremely happy to give 5 of 5. Thanks for the time.

nomadnoyhOne of the best in EV unbiased newsWhy does Apple make it so hard to give a review? This podcast has been a staple in my library for years now. Just now getting around to giving a review. I had no idea. It would be so hard to figure it out. I had to go to YouTube. Why can’t you just click on the three dots and say review? Keep up the great work guys!
-
the last time i listenedIntegrityThey play it straight and unbiased. Unafraid. I wish every news source was exactly like this.
-
GaijinbenHigh quality podcast on EVsEvery week Fred and Seth make a podcast of their livestream video show about electric vehicles. I’ve never watched the live show but I listen to the podcast every week. They are knowledgeable and humble as they discuss important developments in the field, as well as answering viewers questions from the livestream. I appreciate their integrity and even-handedness in reporting. Also, there is only one ad-break, read by the hosts, and it is usually for a company related to electric vehicles so it may even be of interest. This podcast is worth checking out if you own or are considering buying an electric vehicle, or even if you are just interested in developments in the field of EVs.
-
Cesar BrancoComprehensiveVery good. Seth and Fred are not stressful to listen to. Very knowledgeable. Just one thing Fred: Reuters is pronounced “roy-ters”.
-
twf16Has potential but wish they were a bit more objectiveI really want to like this podcast because they are generally really thorough and one of the most in depth EV and energy podcasts but after a few episodes it’s become fairly apparent that they have certain brands they report more positively on and others they are consistently overly critical of. They report the facts and figures well but a bit more objectivity in the commentary and analysis of those facts and figures would be welcome and help to lessen the impression that they are reporting with an agenda.
-
silverelanThere are better Tesla podcasts out thereElectrek covers the entire EV industry but the podcast skews heavily towards Tesla headlines and largely ignores or minimizes every other EV player and the major EV news of the week. If you really want some quality Tesla-focused news, there are better podcasts available.
-
dashboardpwsWeekly treat!I’ve listened for several years and I can hardly wait for each new episode. These guys are like a calming voice at the end of the week and their honesty and integrity make this a must-listen for me.
-
geoknotMy go to EV podcastA great way to get a weekly summary of all things EV!
-
nomad_spartan_2011Honest EV News and Pleasing PodcastI have been a reader of Electrek website since 2014. I visit it several times every say. The electrek podcast is honest, fact based, and pleasure to listen to. Both Seth and Fred have been doing a phenomenal job as hosts, and provide honest news, and views on everything Tesla and EV related. They keep the show PG or PG-13, and do Q&A at the end of each episode. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone.
-
hiltonnexttimeThoroughI rely on Electrek for authoritative news on the state of the EV industry. Others focus on vehicle reviews and specific components of the EV world, but Electrek is best for broad and thorough coverage. I feel that listening to their weekly podcast keeps me informed on anything that’s worth knowing.
-
kelleyclarkJust the facts, no fluff or promotion of sponsors. This is a wonderful show that is jammed full of Tesla and other EV news. They aren’t Elon sycophants. They don’t talk about their dog or promote their sponsors at the end of the show. They report EV news in a fair and unbiased manner. They are my go-to source for EV news.
-
gaw07EV podcastThis podcast is one of the best EV podcasts I have run across.
-
DSF_OCVery comprehensive - always timely.Fred: “We are LIVE. Seth, how are you doing this week?” Seth: “I’m good”. Seth is always good. Not great, not bad, just good. … and that’s a good thing because the show is consistently interesting, full of timely information, and always a worthwhile listen. I enjoy the reviews on the test rides. I am a Tesla owner and yes, the show is Tesla forward but that’s the industry right now. No complaints from me, keep up the great work! BTW, if you listen for nothing else, then enjoy Fred’s attempt at pronouncing (butchering) names and cities. Always a good time.
-
A listener of podcastsGreat podcastAlways enjoy listening to the show. Great, unbiased journalism. Can’t wait for the latest episode to drop each week to hear their take on the news in the EV world. Keep up the good work!
