    Very Timely
I’ve listened to several of Ryn and Katja’s podcasts and have really enjoyed all of them. The podcast on catnip was especially timely as it talked about using it for older people who get anxious a lot. I’m going to try some catnip tea today. Thanks.

    Totally Awesome! Wealth of Knowledge
I recently came across this podcast as an aspiring beginner herbalist and I absolutely fell in love! I have gone back and started listening to every episode from the beginning. I love the excitement in their voices when they talk about herbs.

    Love this podcast!
I have listened to quite a few different herbal podcasts, wanting to expand my knowledge on herbs. And I am SO happy that I came across this podcast. Each episode is full of information, but not in an overwhelming way. They are relatable and enjoyable to listen to.

    Knowledge
I just want to thank Katja & Ryn. You both are awesome. I started taking your course beginning of the year. A little nervous. But after I start studying band watching the videos several time. I’m comfortable going @ my own pace. Love the email that you send out about exciting things. I can say you have to have your heart in this and really appreciate the plants and herbs that we use. This is my first podcast that I listen to and I will be enjoying them more as I study. Thank you again. Love and chamomile with a hint of blackberry leaf😁

    💚Beginner friendly🌱🌿🌺
This is the best podcast I’ve found for herbalists especially beginners. This podcast is what keeps me going on my herbalism path even when negative things are thrown at me because of my different style of healing. I can’t thank you guys enough. There’s only one thing that I can think of that I’m not satisfied with.I am currently listening to all your first aid episodes but it’s just not enough (the info was gods just not enough of it). So could you do more episodes on first aid with herbs and I don’t mean replays either I mean new episodes for first aid.I realize this is a long review but thank for taking the time to read my review.(Also could you do an episode on cuts and bruises particular thanks and on herbal preparation types like tinctures and salves I’m a beginner and for fellow beginners it would be a huge help).💚

    Great pod! Informative.
Don’t know how I missed this podcast or you guys in general, but I just found the podcast last week and I love it! One of my favorites so far. So informative. Keep up the great work, I appreciate it!

    Excellent herbal education
I look forward to this podcast every week! Listening feels like I’m both part of a conversation with friends, and in a great seminar, learning from a pair of herbalists who really take the “holistic’ part of herbalism to heart. It’s not just holistic in terms of thinking of the whole body, but holistic in thinking about how herbalists interact with and respond to the individuals, plants, creatures, resources, environment, and society around us both in our own backyards, and across the globe.

    Thankful I found you!
as a novice herbalist, eager for information and community, I am so thankful I found you! I have been learning so much from this podcast and really enjoy hearing a well-rounded discussion from both of y’all about each plant. It’s truly a holistic approach with both scientific, backing and emotional states taken into consideration. Whenever I get curious about a certain plant, I can come to this podcast and sure enough… You have all the information I need! Again, thank you, and keep up the good work!

This is the podcast and teacher duo I turn to when I need comfort and encouragement in my ongoing health journey. These two make herbalism fun, accessible, and intriguing. What a gift!

I listen all day everyday! Thank goodness there are five years for me to catch up on. :) Thanks for providing so much accessible and relevant content. Can’t wait to take some of your classes - especially the children’s herbalism course. If you ever find yourselves in the Santa Monica mountains in Southern California hit us up and we’ll go on a plant walk!

    Easy listening
This podcast is jam packed with knowledge. They’re so passionate about herbalism and it shows. I’m listening to these in between taking their classes online and I just can’t get enough!

    Absolute Favorite Feel-Better Podcast!!!
Katja and Ryn are practically magical. 1. Their scientific and experiential knowledge is vast and they are intersectionally inclusive (no white hippie appropriation here folks, whew!!) 2. Their calm but passionate nature coupled with an immensely warm generosity of spirit draws you in, no matter your previous experience. I honestly can say that with each episode, I feel more empowered to live a healthy life - whatever that means for me. And, to advocate for myself as I navigate the healthcare system. I love how cozy and safe it feels to join these two as we learn. I will be sharing many of these episodes with family and fellow sensitive beings! Quick notes: Sometimes there is a squeaky sound in the background, but sound quality improves over the episodes. It is more important to create content that brings some light into this kaleidoscopic and stressful period than it is to have a fancy recording studio. Would also love to hear conversations with guests on future episodes. Thank you and please keep it up!!!

    Connecting with my whole self
This podcast has led me toward a more holistic view of my health, herbs, and a deeper relationship with nature. The hosts, Katja and Ryn, do an amazing job of staying tethered to reality and science while helping us understand that there is inherent subjectivity to health — how we feel. I am learning that herbs support body and mind in a pursuit of physical and mental health.

    Budding herbalist finding inspiration
I absolutely adore this podcast and the two of you. I’m a potter and spend hours alone working on my art, only accompanied by podcasts, music and audiobooks and an occasional cat. I binged this podcast once I discovered it, learning so much about herbalism, activism and all through a very heartwarming, activating and entertaining medium. The hosts Ryn and Katia are an adorable couple that also know their stuff at a deep level. I love hearing about their relationships with plants and how I can integrate them into my own personal practice as well as support my friends and family. This is a must go to podcast for herbal learning! Love, love, love!

    Herb of the Month Episode
This was a very informative and helpful way to approach learning herbalism. It is very overwhelming and I often have feelings of defeat simply because I don’t know where to start! This episode helped me to remember to keep things simple and to personally learn herbs in a visceral , physical way! Thank you!

    Applying Herbs to Current Events
This is one of the best herbal podcasts around. I have been listening for the past 6 months and have gone down the rabbit hole of the entire back catalog. There is so much good information here-not just on herbs, because yes, but there is also good information on developing a proactive mindset for just about everything. I love the voice Katja and Ryn use while discussing how they choose herbs based on energetics, using what herbs are available to you, and especially how to apply this historical knowledge to our current social concerns. They are not only sharing the history of these plants, but guiding the listener to think through how to best use them now, which is invaluable. Thank you to Katja and Ryn for sharing your knowledge, selves, and time with me! I feel like you both are friendly little guiding voices in my head as continue on my own path incorporating herbal medicine in my life and the lives of those around me.

    Amazing, educational, obsessed 🤩
Loveeeee this podcast! I recently found and started listening on Spotify but want to give you all the credit you deserve. I’m a ex ER RN and now I’m working for a mobile IV company that I love. Learning the ways of the herbs has inspired me to become a herbalist! I recently signed up for a few of the free classes they offer on their website and they are excellent! The knowledge these two have is endless. The pods are well spoken and thought out. It is a effortless situation to sit and listen to them talk. As a healthcare professional I appreciate their attention to detail and in depth knowledge of the herbs. It has been a life saver. I hope to keep helping myself and others with the new herb knowledge! Thank you guys for your amazing work!!!!

Why ruin a perfectly good thing with politics?
I’ve enjoyed your show, but I tune in to learn about herbs; not politics or how an authors choice of words makes you cringe (historical herbal references on saw palmetto). My advice? Stick with herbal medicine, and leave political points of view for your personal circle of friends. I don’t think herbs care about your thoughts around gender identification.

    Thank you
You guys make this so easy to listen to and learn from. I can’t wait to take some of your online classes. After listening to your show I have some great ideas for my garden.

    So Powerful!!
Wow! The amount of information that Katja and Ryn have stored up collectively is mind-blowing. I have taken the path of holistic health and these two give a wealth of knowledge about plants that is second to none. Strongly recommend giving this podcast a deep dive if you want to expand your mind and learn about the power and sophistication of plants/herbal remedies!

    Such an amazing podcast!
If you’re looking for a herb podcast and don’t know anything about herbs look no further! I have scattered information learned throughout childhood and more & this podcast helps me sort it. I absolutely LOVE this podcast. I’ve been listening for a little over 2 years and I am now finally caught up! (which I have mixed emotions about) this podcast is so good that I binge listen for 8 hours at a time and even re- listen to old ones. It’s that good! I’ve learned so much about herbs and now speak fluent Elsie and bird. (If your looking for a translator😂) I also enrolled in their emergent responder program and it’s amazing. If you’re looking for something more than a podcast and need a class that’s affordable then I’m telling you THIS IS THE PLACE. I plan on taking all their courses, once budget allows❤️ But seriously this podcast is amazing. They have changed my life and I highly recommend it to everyone!

    My absolute favorite!
This is my absolute favorite podcast! Katija and Ryn are so knowledgeable. They focus on a very holistic way of teaching herbalism which I love. They also talk a lot about all aspects of life not just the herbs which is awesome, I feel like I know them and I look forward to every new episode. I have also signed up for their family herbalist program through their website and I can’t wait to get started! Give them a listen, you won’t regret it.
  • SamStarr82
    Love you both!
Just started taking your online classes in my budding herbalist lessons...and love listening to the podcast when I'm running errands! So intelligent---both medically as well as practically.

    Beautiful podcasts
You two are lovely. I’m learning so much and really appreciate your knowledge. Plus, you’re both so super bright, real, and have welcoming and friendly demeanors. FYI. I have three cats and I love them all. So funny how their personalities are so diverse. But one of them is super duper special. Sorry for your loss. Rainbow heaven just received another beloved pet! Pope Francis said that one day we will see our beloved pets in heaven. Thank you for all you do!

    Impressed with the beauty
Thank you for all of your generous work. After listening to episode 143 I have been replaying a few phrases in my mind and thinking about the delicacy used in the discussion of trauma. It’s most appreciated. Thank you for the respect.

    Beautiful
The graciousness exhibited in every episode gets me every time. Learning about specific herbs is fun and helpful-but I have not met anyone else who teaches and shares their own experience with such openness and grace for the self and others as Ryn and Katja do. Even if you don’t care to learn about herbs, I feel you could get something out of each episode by listening to how Ryn and Katja work to approach the world and trying times. Really beautiful.

    Hands Down Best Herbal Podcast
I subscribe to several podcasts and this is hands down the most informative, well rounded and well put together podcast. I’ve found that each post sparks my curiosity for herbs I’ve not yet worked with and deepens my appreciation for the herbs I use on a regular basis.

    Thank you
Katja and Ren thank you so much for your podcasts. I have your Book and I’m using it. Have not get yet to your classes but I will. This has been exciting journey for me to learn the herbs. I came to this country from Eastern Europe and herbalism always been big part of our life. Learning with you brings me to a new level. Thank you again, Nadia

    Pure Joy
Katja and Ryn are a balm to the soul to listen to every week. The amount of knowledge, care, and effort shines through, and their dedication to the community is something to aspire to. Solid recommendations, education, and a clear presentation set this podcast a cut above in the herbalism world. Thank you for doing what you do, and putting so much love and care into our community!

    Wonderful and informative!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now (and have gone back through many old episodes also). I grow a lot of my own herbs and am so grateful to have such practical advice for how I can use them in maintaining my daily wellness as well as in times of need. I really appreciate the scientific knowledge about both herbs and the body, and the way it is applied to very relevant situations. The best thing about this podcast is that when I’m doubting my own knowledge, or am feeling frightened about something that I’m experiencing , I can go back and listen to the relevant podcasts and these two restore my confidence in the power of herbs and my own power to heal myself. Thank you!! Cheyenne

    Demystifying natural remedies

    Incredibly well-rounded and informative
I am a complete beginner to herbalism and stumbled upon this podcast looking for somewhere to start exposing myself to the vast world of herbs and the practices of working with them. I have been binging this podcast everyday! Katja and Ryn are the perfect compliment to one another in temperament, knowledge, and approach. The material is informative, interesting, and so fun and soothing to listen to. I can’t get enough! They offer a huge number of resources and courses on their website too - I want to take their beginner herbalism course soon. Thanks for all you do!

    Medicine for your Soul
Katja’s and Ryn’s kindness and love for each other and their work spills forth in every episode and leaves you with a feel-good, warm and positive attitude that will calm your fears, brighten your day, and inspire you to live and love with more gratitude and kindness yourself. I tuned in for their herbal wisdom and found myself coming back time and again for a chance to spend some more time around their positive energy. In a world gone mad, it’s pure medicine for the soul to hear there are still wise, good, kind humans out there trying to help others. Thank you guys for your work and your knowledge!

    🙏 so many thanks 🙏
I am so grateful to have found this podcast. I got into herbalism and homeopathy when I was 12 and am so glad to be getting myself back into the original realm of healing, almost 30 years later. Katja & Ryn are so great to listen to and I make sure I do daily. I don’t even care if a podcast repeats on my Spotify. Oh dear, I’ll reinforce all the great info! 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you’re at all interested in learning, whether from scratch or to layer on to your years of knowledge for a finer patina, this is it. These are the folks. Thanks for being out there. 🌿 💕 ☀️ ☕️

    Podcast is AWESOME
Ive been listening to this pod for about a year. What makes Katja and Ryn such a pleasure to listen to is that they do the middle path very well-- they acknowledge the spiritual AND scientific aspects of herbalism while remaining cognizant and self-aware. No shortage of interesting social issue commentary, appropriate laughs and real talk. Its a very grounded and fun podcast.

    Learning never ends!
Just started your Community Herbalist program! Found the podcast first and I really loved the interaction you tow have! I really enjoy the down to earth way you both speak and I so I started listening from the beginning at episode #1 and listen everyday during my commute. Took my mom with me to harvest Arnica and Pedicularis bracteosa and she enjoyed the 5 Tinctures you couldn’t live without podcast. Thanks for the great content!!
