LaneeMacAn Amazing ResourceI have been in the “wellness” space for years and I’m just tuning into this podcast. I am so grateful for this labor of love Erin does for free in order to provide information to the general population. She voices some of my major concerns with the functional medicine model while also eloquently making a case for targeted interventions. I’ve only been listening for a week and a half and have binge listened to over half of the podcasts. The information and education she provides is not the same as everyone else. It is uniquely given. Her thoughts on neurobiology, boundaries and mind-body balance have been game changers for me. I am so grateful for this body of work.

Lilly St. DenisTransformationalErin Holt and the Funk’tional Nutritionist Podcast is changing the game in the overwhelming world of Functional Medicine/ Health. The concise + positive language she uses and the variety of topics keep me coming back always waiting for the next episode. Almost every topic or episode is the perfect meeting of concepts I’m already familiar with but also want to dive deeper into and understand better. She touches on simple concepts we know and need and combines them with more unfamiliar topics such as neurobiology or the intricacies of mind-body healing, which I personally cannot get enough of. This is the side of health that is often swept under the rug, purposefully ignored, or unfairly omitted due to practitioners lack of time, energy, training, or understanding. My own health journey has spanned over my lifetime and it took me until my thirties to start trusting and believing in the healing capacity of my body and the tangible and very REAL progress that comes from actively participating in this journey. Her mission of becoming a participant in our own health carries SO much potential to not only help practitioner & patient, but to also help any human understand their body open up to creating a lasting supportive relationship with themselves. 5 stars over and over again.

emie002RealWhat I appreciate about Erin is she’s completely authentic and real. She seems like someone I’d be friends with in real life but she knows all the things I want to know (and she’s willing to share). So grateful for her and her team. I’ve learned so much about my health and wellness and if she ever stops creating content, I just might have to do it myself because there’s no one else out there like her.

kt3443Amazing, insightful and can’t believe it’s free!!Erin does a wonderful job at explaining women’s health in a way that is easily understood. She gives practical tips on how to improve your health for everyone regardless of socioeconomic status which is super helpful. Erin doesn’t sugarcoat topics which is much appreciated. I am so happy she takes the time to produce this free resource to help so many! I

HoneybeehealingSimply the best!Erin Holt presents information in an intelligent way with compassion and humor. She looks at health conditions through many lenses. It’s nice to have a well rounded approach, looking at many different conditions, especially for people who have struggled with symptoms and no answers. Erin Holts podcast is my favorite thing of the week. You can tell her heart is in every thing she does. I love you Erin, keep leading the revolution!!

Deb25000Awesome!I found this podcast a few years ago after learning that my cortisol levels were high. I was looking for a podcast episode on how to balance my hormones and found The Funktional Nutritionist podcast. I have been listening to all the episodes that were interesting to me and I am in love. I have learned a lot from Erin, and even joined the CCP during C19 which was very helpful. I was able to lower my cortisol levels, and learn so much about my health.

Jillian from the BurgWhere Science meets the Sacred! As a fellow practitioner, I know the complexities of the field of functional nutrition and holistic healing, and Erin is truly a pioneer in her expertise and messaging! She delivers a no nonsense, yet compassionate approach to supporting the widespread reach and digestibility of information and application as it relates to all things health and healing. I cannot recommend her and this podcast highly enough!!! If you deeply know and believe that healing is more than just food, movement, etc., but ALSO relies on the energetic component, this podcast is for YOU!
-
Eden + MainSo helpful and inspiring!I’ve loved listening to Erin over the last 9 months. She’s helped me understand and apply new nutritional strategies to my life while my partner and I are TTC. Thank you for all you do and for putting this information out there so it’s easier to access! A special thanks for the hormone and fertility episodes. You’re a lifesaver!

hrdavidKnowledgeable but contradictoryErin is a very knowledgable and enjoyable to listen to. It’s clear that she has a lot of experience and knows what she’s talking about. I am a little bothered by the contradictions between what she says in the podcast versus what she says when she’s selling endless supplements throughout the podcast. Seems as though all these supplements would be unnecessary, if you were healed by her advice and in a healthy state of mind and body. And I do believe that her advice would do just that. Maybe one or two supplements would still be necessary, but not endless amount like she claims to be using. For instance, in the cortisol podcast I just listened to she said that you need to learn to listen to your body and the feedback it’s giving you. You need to figure out the why not just give yourself a supplement to solve the problem. I agree with her wholeheartedly on that! However, within the same podcast, she tells you about an electrolyte supplement that you should be using if you are a low-carb person. Because if you were having headaches, achy muscles, fatigue, etc., from eating low-carb it’s because you’re low on electrolytes. In my mind, you should be listening to to your body. If you were having all those symptoms, it seems like your body is telling you that you need to be a few more carbs not that you need to run out and get a supplement. Or worst case scenario save your money and drink a little bit of salt with some water. So she’s great, but there is some contradictory advice when it comes to making money off selling products.

Amanda R27Erin has quite literally transformed my life.I initially found Erin while studying with IIN and since then have been immersed in her content through her podcast, Instagram and now multiple programs/courses I have participated in. She has opened up my perspective and allowed me to shift my own health and the direction I want to go in as I launch my health coaching career. THANK you Erin for bringing your light to this world!
-
ThxChanged my life … and then my career pathI found this podcast about 5 years ago as I was looking to incorporate more holistic approaches into my nursing career , as I indulged in episode after episode on my walks this podcast eventually changed my health and my life . I went from struggling to wake up in the morning , mood swings , fatigue, and exhaustion to finally feeling the light switched back on. I’ve really enjoyed the transition to incorporating business advice as well as it feels SO important to get more people out there following their dream and more well educated practitioners on the ground to help people , we are in a health crisis right now y’all! From listening to the health side of this podcast I felt I had the trust to take the leap and join one of the programs and it has changed my life. I left the hospital as a nurse to take the journey to open my own practice helping people find the root cause. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without this podcast . It’s refreshing to watch a woman in this space evolve and create while still being authentic and showing up ALL THE TIME! What feels the best to me that yes there is a pay wall for some of her content (hello it takes thousands of HOURS to create content , study , continuing education , etc.) but she also gives SOOO much content away for free to either help on your health journey or a jump off point to start on your journey , we should all be more grateful for that. Anyways F the haters . So grateful for this magic

gl0bUgEvolving, Insightful and REAL!Most podcast I listen to only for a short time and drift onto another one. But over the years, this one is the one I keep listening to time and time again. Not only is it informative on real actions for health and wellness, but I LOVE how Erin has evolved over the years and shares her other interests in mindset, and business. I WANT someone to show me how they evolve and change over time. I get SO BORED when people “stay in their lane” - it just turns into recycled garbage. But not here. It’s fresh, its motivating and helps me broaden my mind and views too! Thank you Erin for never giving up on this podcast. You show up week after week and that level of dedication is to be celebrated!

ColleenTourmalineLife changing health informationI’ve been listening to Erin’s podcast for a few years now, and it has helped me so much. Have you ever felt like something was wrong, and you go to the doctor and they tell you everything is “normal?” Conventional medicine is not great at long term, preventive health care. Conventional medicine is often “a pill for every ill” and those medications can give more side effects than benefits. Erin has a deep understanding of holistic healing through functional nutrition/ functional medicine, which is a real root cause approach. The knowledge really is the power that can help us steer our health and understand what drives our illness. I had no idea the wide and vague array of symptoms I was having was from a hormonal imbalance, which did not show up with conventional medicine testing. I now understand what things drive my system out of whack. I have also done her programs on her website which I also highly recommend. As a physical therapist I also recommend this podcast to those who I see that I believe are struggling with autoimmune issues and need further education.

SelenaMGFanBlowing my mindI’ve been diving deep into health and wellness podcasts for my personal health journey since 2020. Erin’s podcast has been one of the breakthroughs for me. I can’t get enough of the info and my mind is blown with how much it resonates with my life and makes everything make sense. Thank you. 🙌🏼
-
HealingwithabsGratefulErin’s humor & spiciness drew me in… her knowledge, ability to explain complex topics in a way that makes sense to folks who haven’t studied nutrition and her beautiful confidence has kept me around for the last year. I look forward to her weekly podcasts, newsletters and clinical pearls. This is my number one recommended podcast to clients & friends wanting to dig a little deeper into understanding their health. Erin is relatable, hilarious, and her sense of self worth is inspiring. She believes in her mission and her offerings and is not afraid to let her listeners know it- what a gift to us all. Thank you, Erin, for all that you do.
-
Meg MD 22The best!Couldn’t look more forward to my runs than when I know Erin has released new content!! I can move for miles without even knowing it because I’m lost in a great show and leaning boatloads while being entertained.
-
maribelraeVery informative!I have listened to almost all of Erin’s podcasts… they are excellent! Wide range of topics… I learn a ton from each episode. I know she is constantly evolving but I’m hoping she keeps the health related content going as that’s what I am most interested in rather than the entrepreneurial content which she has been focusing on more recently.
-
MrsFilionListener since 2019This podcast was life changing for me. So happy to have found it. An excellent and FREE resource that offers a fresh perspective on health.
-
amhaileStill listeningThrough Erin’s podcast, I have learned and been inspired enough to know that what she has to offer is worth it’s weight in gold. I invested in myself by enrolling in the Funk’tional Nutrition Academy, which I would never had known about if it weren’t for the podcast. I can honestly say that I am only in practice now because of that program. I continue to learn through her podcast episodes and couldn’t be thankful enough for the entire FNA team’s role in my growth.
-
Jodie V.Best nutrition podcastThank you Erin!! You work so hard to spread awareness on real issues and I love that you aren’t afraid of including holistic modalities that some consider woo woo 😅 your whole body, real root cause approach is so refreshing. I always learn so much from each and every podcast and I also smile and get a chuckle. Your up to date information is so valuable and I hope to someday participate in one of your programs. Keep sharing those because you deserve some kickback for all you give to us. Also I know they are life changing. Love your show and have a great time Wednesday! ❤️
-
Taylove09Game changerErin touches on so many different topics and speaks from her soul, isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers in the name of providing honest, real information and ultimately helps you trust yourself whether you’re looking to better your health, mindset or business. Plus her humor makes the message even better!! She has a way of summing things up in a concise and digestible way that actually sticks with you. She’s been a complete game changer in my life!

Addy1433Used to love this showI love the older episodes but the new ones are just a giant ad for her programs with sponsor’s ads sprinkled in each episode.
-
kc20yanksObsessed!I am only 4 episodes in, but I can’t wait for my commute to listen… such a fantastic show!
-
canny123SP127!This podcast is one of the most up to date and evidence based nutrition podcasts I’ve found, what I don’t like is Erin’s rudeness to fellow practitioners 😞she also refuses to acknowledge to any of her listeners that she got her education from IFNA, at least give them a shoutout? Practitioners should support each other and lift each other up, not reply with snarky comments and put others down.
-
JamiegruolInsightful and CollaborativeI love the way Erin give me so much to think about in my health. Always encouraging introspection and trusting my own intuition for finding the path to my best life.
-

SurferKittySales pitches aplentySo much advertising for her program or affiliates, takes forever to get to the meat of the topic and when she finally does, she’s pitching another product. Tons of info here, but the solutions are only there if you pay lots of dollars.
-

As a certified nutritional therapy practitioner, I can confidently recommend these episodes to clients so they can dive deep into various topics. Thank you Erin for all you do! (If I could leave that podcast company you contracted a negative review, I would! They need to take responsibility for what they did.)
