Johnny3oyFantastic Show Across the PondI personally can’t thank these ladies enough. They have been a god sent. I’ve been struggling with IBS since A kid. Don’t know how it came. I just remember always having stomach pains. I Never got diagnosed though. When I was diagnosed this year(Age 33), I was given some vague information. GI doctors stink lol. That being said, I suffered on my own into a depression essentially. Then I ran into this podcast. I just finished season one and I’m literally listening to all their advice . You would be dumb not to. I’m currently going to see a dietitian trained in the low FODMAP diet. I found her via the Monash app provided in the handy dandy show notes. Thank you ladies! Your the support system I needed. If this dietitian doesn’t work out I’m going straight to Lauren. She’s the bomb.com Advisory*** Please don’t skip any seasons. So what if the sound quality is subpar in the earlier season. Their dealing out gems free of charge. I wish I could tip theses ladies for their open free knowledge. Their like my support system and they don’t even know it. Huelya is hilarious and so down to earth . Subscribe to the podcast end of story!!!

ZoeMCGreat Topics and Sound in New SeasonThis podcast has improved a lot. The sound quality, direction of the podcasts and the addition of guests. The back and forth between the two podcast hosts could be improved. Huelya seems less direct in her conversation style on the podcast and less connected to the episode being discussed. Being the host with IBS, Huelya seems like she isn’t proactive with her own health management and engaging with the topics through doing or experimenting before the episode to add more to the podcast. I have had IBS for 15 years and enjoy Laura’s more direct, knowledgeable and prepared approach to speaking about the topic. The probiotics episode was very informative and helpful. If I can make a suggestion, please change the theme song. :/ It’s a little abrasive and anxiety inducing, not great for soothing IBS listeners.

CommonManEdFanThe Truth About ProbioticsThis discussion prompted me to try kefir. After just a few days of drinking this delicious product (5 oz first thing in the morning), my digestion has improved 100%!

MW19890Very informative for those with IBSI’ve been suffering with IBS for 10+ years. Just in these 10 years the knowledge in the medical community has changed significantly. This podcast covers a wide range of aspects about IBS. It has motivated me to finally go back to the doctor about different treatment options for my IBS and to try and approach my IBS treatment from multiple aspects. The audio is bad towards the beginning episodes but if you can just stick with it as the knowledge is beneficial.

witchhumtdaddyThanksAs a parent of a child who is currently struggling with gut pain that cannot be diagnosed I greatly appreciate this podcast. Laura and Huelya work to weave together insights from a professional (Laura, dietician) and personal (Huelya, IBS patient) perspective. I appreciate the duality of this communication, and I feel it offers a good balance of education with practical insights. I am trying the low FODMAP diet under a nutritionist’s care, and this show augments my understanding of the complexities of this new way of eating.

Deme2008The Push I NeededI was diagnosed with IBS 30 years ago and struggle with it mostly on my own because the doctors I tried were at a loss. I knew about the low-FODMAP diet but I couldn’t get my head around it. This podcast was the push I needed to try it and I feel better- emotionally and physically.

Inam6Very useful, but quality is hard to Listen toThe information is very helpful and both are very knowledgeable. However, the sound quality is awful and makes me not finish listening to different episodes. Also Julia often takes quite a while get around to the point she is trying to Make. Just offering some insight, as I feel this podcast is supplying great information, but could be streamlined better.

CollinsgatechHorrible sound qualityI really like the content but the sound quality is horrible! Their voices go in and out and entire words will be missing sometimes. I tried streaming it from their website as well, but had the same problems. Specifically, episode 9 is where it got so bad I decided to leave feedback.

Kb3anz17Vegan and lowFODMAPLove this easy to listen to info and commentary. I’ve listened on and off. Just heard ‘survival of the elimination phase’. As one of a growing number of vegans, I heard the part about vegetarian challenges and wondered if it could be improved in future episodes. I appreciated the explanations about pulses (beans), especially about their health benefits! I was dissatisfied by the lack of mention of ‘vegan’ or ‘plant-based’ and other high protein lowFODMAP foods widely known to vegans. I was also disappointed by the mention of eggs as a ‘necessary’ source of meat-free protein. It was said as though not eating eggs would leave someone hungry or inadequately nourished. To better support vegan or plant-based listeners, it would help to give info or recommend wonderful resources such as The Wild Gut Project or Vegan and Low-FODMAP: What to Eat When You Can’t Eat Anything. My perspective is that I won’t give up vegan and I could use the most encouragement to try lowFODMAP with confidence. My concern is without the aforementioned info or resources myself or others would be discouraged and have poorer outcomes.

Sarah 22SO HelpfulI love this podcast. I have had food allergy/intolerance problems for years, and was recently diagnosed with IBS. This podcast has been more informative than my doctor has ever been. I have started watching my diet more closely, following along with FODMAP as best as I can (so far), and I have been feeling much better. Thanks so much!

TowneSAHelpsI've enjoyed listening but would like more info on what I can or should be eating.

SteadyStrongImpressed by the content so far!I am a registered dietitian in the US and am looking to specialize in functional gut disorders and the low FODMAP diet. I am delighted to have found this podcast which seems logical, process oriented and evidence based. Not to mention timely with so much ~ both fact (and fiction) emerging from science and social media. Glad to be a part of the start. Way to go ladies!!
