    Based on facts
Nutrition shouldn’t be political as it is but there we are. I feel he does a good job presenting evidence and facts to back up his opinions instead of just giving unsupported claims. Lots of helpful tips to really improve your health. 5 stars

The facts we need & in a great format
I love this podcast and Dr. Chavez’s videos on instagram. I have learned so much from his videos and have been inspired to take better care of my nutrition again. I appreciate that his stuff is evidence based and that he communicates the facts with compassion. Sometimes he is direct about the needs in our society, and personally, I like that. I loved the episode with Dr. Matthew Nagra especially.

    Finally…
I found a podcast about nutrition that is based on actual science, by a host who is actually (and highly) educated about the topic, and is not trying to sell me things. I am grateful for the common sense information and am very much enjoying Dr. Chavez’s information!

    Came for the facts
So thankful there are still rational and scientific voices out here doing the most. I can’t imagine how hard the myth busting grind must be at this point but so grateful that nutrition PhDs are still willing to show up and educate. Thanks!!

Thoughtful and engaging deep dives into nutrition
I’ve been listening to Adrian’s podcasts for quite a while and continue to be impressed with his engaging and nuanced approach to nutrition science. He really cares about helping the average person learn and understand about the surprising complexity of evidence based healthy nutrition and shares a lot of helpful information every episode. I also appreciate his “you do you” philosophy. He’s earnest and personal too. Highly recommend.

    Great
So crucial nowadays to have specialist like these who educate listeners, give some orientation in this chaos which is yet to come. Thanks for doing such an important work for everybody. We need you!

    Has become too political.
I’ve been a clinical Registered Dietitian for 15 years. Dr. Chavez used to provide evidenced based nutrition information without bias, and there was much to be considered and respected from his content. Since the election, he’s become so consumed with politics, and criticizing the very administration that the American people overwhelmingly voted for, his view points are no longer fair and evidenced based. It just his opinion, predicting and criticizing the future of this political administration…which remains to be seen.

    Grateful for experts!
I am so grateful for Dr. Chavez and the expert knowledge he provides in a time when so many try to discount qualified individuals of their field. Thank you and please know there’s a huge community supporting you!

    Happy To Be Here!
I have followed Dr Adrian Chavez for a couple years and was excited when he launched this podcast. As someone who has worked in the health care field and loved health and nutrition for most of my life, I thoroughly enjoy the scientific approach to many popular topics that can become overwhelming on social media. Not only does he do a great job at explaining things for anyone to understand, he includes others that have different professional backgrounds to really get the most accurate information for his listeners. I look forward to new episodes each week!!

Great resource for healthcare providers and patients
As a physician, I have found this podcast and corresponding social media content to be so helpful, and I have sent both to many colleagues and patients as a truly reliable resource in the Wild West of social media. I appreciate that he is a nutrition scientist who literally did years of real research and patient-facing care with demonstrable benefit. The “wellness” culture is pervasive in our society but most of my patients don’t know which conflicting trend du jour to embrace. The clear, concise, evidence-based episodes are valuable for listeners of all backgrounds/professions. Thank you!

Great, informative, easy to understand podcast
If you’re looking for an easy to understand but well informed take on nutrition topics - this is it. I have learned a lot that will not only improve my personal health but has given me good talking points to respond to misinformation with when it inevitably pops up.

Real-life advice from a leading expert in the field
This podcast is one of my absolute favorites to recommend! Even with some science background, I still get tripped up with nutrition and Dr. Chavez gives such accessible, high-quality nutrition advice—for free? I appreciate his commitment to walk the ethical high ground as his sponsorship deals are few and far between, and he is incredibly choosy about the people he platforms on the show. It’s such an invaluable asset to know that any nutrition topic I could wonder about, I can find expert advice from someone with years of diverse experience in the field, who won’t be swayed by a paycheck.

    Real Information
Great listen and for the first time I know I’m receiving real information instead of someone trying to sell something. This is common sense and not a quick fix. There is more to this than just removing food dyes, Dr. Chavez and Dr. Knurick are providing simple solutions to why Americans need to change their ways.
  • Health2day

    Overwhelmingly Awesome
I have masters degrees in both exercise science and nutrition and Dr. Chavez still has the ability to add to my knowledge in every episode.

    Sooooo political!
You all have no idea what the MAHA movement is going to do I guarantee you that they will focus on diet and exercise In addition to improving food supply —-you need both. You are denying the corruption? Wake up please You are so uneducated and giving you this platform to spew your clear disdain for republicans is sad

Fantastic science-based and practical nutrition podcast
I’m a Registered Dietitian who has worked as a clinical dietitian for 30+ years. The concepts Dr. Chavez discussed are the same concepts I have discussed with patients for years. His approach is so valuable as he cuts through the “noise” related to nutrition and focuses on science-based recommendations. I love the practical advice he provides and the depth he goes to to explain why the latest “craze” is likely not a miracle cure. Fantastic listening!!

He’s an icon, a legend💃🏼I’m a nutrition science student and I listen to this (and Dr. Joey Munoz) on my morning walks. It’s a really positive way to start my day. He does a FANTASTIC job of providing unbiased and easy to apply nutrition/exercise practices. It’s simple yet informative and I always learn new tidbits of things. Can’t recommend it enough!

I am a Registered Dietitian for over 30 years and even with all the CEUs that I have completed there is still room to learn more! I am so thankful that I have stumbled upon this podcast and love how he explains the science without bias and so easy for everyone to understand. I will continue to share this podcast with others. Thank you again!

    Grateful for this podcast
I am so grateful for this research-based, no nonsense podcast. It is helpful for the every day person wanting to learn more about what health behaviors actually work, and for people in the health industry wanting to stay up-to-date on the latest research. The Nutrition Science podcast also honors the nuances within their insights (for example, not every health behavior works for every body). This podcast is balanced, scientific, and thoughtful.

    Good except for guest discussions
I like this show a lot and find it so helpful. I’ve listened to every episode. Your latest “hey dude” discussion w Dr Munoz was so fast paced, full of jargon and all over the map that it was really hard to follow. Please slow down, speak in layman’s terms and summarize each point. Thanks! Update 2/22/24 I really loved the Health at Every Size episode! So awesome. The latest discussion w your body training pharmacist friend was so confusing and full of jargon and unexplained acronyms. I couldn’t understand what she was saying. Please try to clarify what your guests are saying in plainer language. Also I found the insane level of focus on calories kind of disturbing. Update 5/20/24. Adrian you had a guest on your latest episode and barely let her get a word in edgewise! Ask your guests questions, and then be quiet and let them talk!

    Evidence-based podcast!
I've thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Chavez podcast! I recently started a new position as a Nutrition Educator. I hold a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Master of Public Health degree alongside being a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Right now, my goal is to become a subject matter expert in nutrition. This podcast provides such a wealth of knowledge from various health professionals, which Chavez has vetted himself to ensure accurate medical information. I like how Chavez stops his guests at certain moments so that we can actually take time to comprehend and digest the information, especially when using scientific or advanced terms. I've enjoyed every aspect of the podcast; and, of course, I've also loved the humor aspects in the episodes. The best part, I think, is debunking a myriad of myths in the nutrition world so that we can learn to better educate our community. I've also been guilty, as we all have been or currently are, of believing inaccurate/biased data. I really appreciate your podcast!!! 100% recommend if you want professions to truly open your eyes.
  • Sab9710
    Love the Podcast!

    Love this podcast!
As I have gotten older, I have started becoming more concerned about how things like the food I eat can affect my health in the long term. However, It can be so hard lately to weed out fake nutrition information these days. I love that Dr Adrian breaks down science backed nutrition information that is not steeped in bias in a digestible (pun intended) way. Thanks for what you’re doing!
  • CollegeDuck
One of the Best Science-Based Podcasts.
I am so grateful I found this podcast. Dr. Chavez provides nuanced, in depth episodes that avoid the pitfalls all too common on most, namely sound bites and promoting bogus or biased claims. I have learned so much from him As someone with an ED (and ED-triggered GI issues), I immensely appreciate his GI and eating disorder episode It actually helped me stick with my ED intensive treatment program and NOT remove any food from my diet (because it’s usually resolved when people sustain recovery and people with ED often use GI issues as reasons to restrict believing we have to). I’m grateful for this podcast and for his work. 10/10 will and HAVE recommended.

    Evidence-based nutrition!
Want to cut through all the hype and noise about nutrition that we see online?! Listen to this podcast! I love Dr. Adrian Chavez’ honest and evidence-based discussions on nutrition and food. What you won’t find is a bunch of fear-mongering or preaching. You WILL get thoughtful information on what research says about human nutrition. And you’ll feel empowered to make better food choices as a result. Thanks Dr. Chavez for being a voice of reason in a sea of confusion. 💚💚💚

    Great info!
I really appreciate this podcast’s focus on evidence and the precise breakdown of misleading claims made on social media. There are so many misrepresented data and bad conclusions out there, often promoted by celebrities, and this podcast helps me keep up!

    Fantastic
Podcast is excellent for both professionals and the layperson alike. I have listened from the beginning and always learn something new. Great variety of topics within nutrition, but always something I’m interested in learning more about. Thanks for being a voice of clarity in a realm rampant with misinformation.
