As some one waiting to have surgery to have both Fallopian tubes un-blocked so I could have a future @ motherhood; ohh my goodness, what a story Erica shares!!! Jett'smomComfortingI found it so comforting to hear a similar story to my own from a faith standpoint. Knowing you are not alone on our journey, we can heal and be stronger through Christ. Women don't have to be divided, this has helped me regardless of my color 💜

DMAlfredOne of My Favorites!Sisters in Loss is informative and inspiring! The stories of courage shared by each guest are a testament of resilience, and God’s faithfulness to see us through difficult times. As a woman who has experienced pregnancy loss, and now have two rainbow babies, I regularly listen to the podcast and always find a takeaway that helps with my own healing. Given the rates of pregnancy loss and maternal health complications in Black and other Women of Color, this podcast is a timely resource. Thank you, Erica McAfee, for the work you do with Sisters in Loss!

@TracitaLindaBetter sound qualityI truly believe and support the vision of this podcast because there are not enough voices of women regarding these topics. I can't imagine how I would have gotten through my own trauma without these stories. However, my 3 stars are highly affected by poor call/sound quality on various episodes (the latest being EP 113) I commute and listen, having to turn my volume very loud and sometimes I just can't listen at all because it's hard to make out what the interviewee is saying. I think this can be rectified easily but currently I don't have the patience to guess what a person is saying, especially when they are doing the majority of speaking. This is deterrening me as a listener.

JaleelismyJoy3020At Last A Community of Sisters of Color Speaking About LossI discovered this podcast during my fourth miscarriage. I knew this podcast would be difficult to listen to, but a great asset to my healing process. I am so encouraged as Erica provides a variety of stories that bring awareness to infant loss and miscarriage. I love how this podcast educates listeners about resources and events that are supportive and empowering. I also love how she speaks out on racial disparities that exist within the medical care system. It is a blessing to hear her guests share without any filter their birth stories. It feels very transparent to listen to sisters who have been in challenging situations, but find purpose within their pain. I am thankful for this podcast!

G.M. OkAppreciative of This PodcastHi Erica: thank you for this Podcast. I have been listening through 2018 after suffering a Stillbirth of our son early 2018. My husband and I have gone through the journey full circle now and are planning to welcome our Rainbow Son in the Spring. He will join our 2yr old daughter. Although we have taken all tests and are not 100% certain what caused our loss, we are pressing forward in faith and prayer. I appreciate your podcast and thank you for sharing all these journeys. So many of the responses I personally have received have been unsupportive or mixed with confusion especially from women in the Black and African American community. It can be so frustrating which is a major reason why I’ve enjoyed the Podcast and hearing from those who have had similar experiences and knowing we are not alone. Such a bittersweet feeling knowing so many women have suffered yet, as you state in your intro—they have found their purpose out of the pain! Total side note: Two points I’d like to mention—please have consistent audio. Some podcasts are so clear and others are simply terrible either on the host side or the guest side or both. I know there are so many logistics we are not privy to so there is much that go beyond what we know that makes this Podcast happen. Also, please find new responses other than “awesome” seeing as how it’s not always used appropriately. Sorry if I sound harsh, it’s just irked me each time I listen because you have so much more to say! I know your podcast has to stay concise. Anyhow, I appreciate your testimony and hope that more women can find this supportive Podcast!! I wish you and listeners a wonderful 2019!!🥰🌈

I’ve learned so much about the different roadblocks that a woman can face during the journey of becoming a mother. This podcast has given me the tools and resources to be able to ask the right questions when I am ready to give birth again

ShaynaGreenPodcast for all womenI wish the intro of this podcast didn’t say it’s “for black women”. I’ll be moving on to a podcast that’s for ALL women. Can’t we all stand together as women?

drayonceGreat podcastErica, I enjoy listening to the podcast as I find it very informative and inspiring. I have not experienced any of the losses that your guests share, but I do have PCOS and medically I’m infertile. I haven’t been in a position to conceive but this podcast has made me aware of the possible roadblocks one may face in doing so. The topics and issues discussed are necessary and fills a gap in the black community. Thank you for sharing your story and creating a platform for Black women issues.
