JoseXedgEBest in the game!Chris and Timothy are so relatable, I started listening to Analog Talk when I started my analog journey. It’s been 5 years and I still get stoked to hear about new photographers and their points of view, it keeps me motivated to keep shooting film.

kkathrynpCould be betterIf I have to hear the hosts talk about their lives one more time… But seriously, as someone who has listened to every ep it is annoying to hear the hosts take up so much time in the episode talking about themselves when we’ve already heard their stories sooo many times. I also wish they asked deeper questions that get more to the heart of why and how the guests make their art. We don’t need to just hear about gear they use!

robb m.White Whale & Desert IslandGreat interviews and an always interesting look into what white whale and desert island camera we all dream about!

duzer4dExceptional film podcastHuge fan of this podcast. I’ve always been interested in the intersection of skateboarding and art so to hearing from guests like Greg Hunt, Jason Lee, Ray Barber, and Ed Templeton is incredible. I was ready for Ed pt3. Always an open and friendly conversation with a great multitude of guests spanning all avenues and genres of photography from commercial to street and everything in between. Keep it up and thanks for your amazing work!

BigWood47Great show that highlights great photographers.I love this show. It’s entertaining and laid back. Nothing to serious, more like friends getting together and having a chat. The best part for me, is that you can really see the differences between photographers. The methods each use and how they see the art that they create. I’m always looking forward to the next episode.

Teleboy13I LOVE Analog Talk!!!Been listening to Analog Talk for four years! The show has broadened my knowledge of photographers, shooting locations, styles, photo books, printing, and has provided SO MUCH inspiration! It’s also my favorite podcast to listen to on road trips! I’ve spent countless hours in the car listening! (And while doing yard work! 😂) Chris & Tim: Thank you for all your hard work putting the show together! You two are AMAZING! I love the show so much! 😊 - Zack @1331photo

KEENAphotoGreat podcast!I’m a professional working photographer/artist is Analog Talk is definitely in my top three photo podcasts. Chris and Tim are so welcoming to the guests and it’s always fun to hear their approach to the interviews. Guest range from top working photogs to influencer hobbyists, but it’s rad to hear how each one loves film photography in their own way. Keep up great work!

nonickname129The best photography podcast!Analog Talk is my absolute favorite photography podcast. Cris and Timothy are great hosts. I have learned so much and it is always wonderful to get exposed to film photographers. If I was on a desert island this would be the one podcast that I would bring with me! My white whale is to be a guest someday!
-
HPKCCTXTHE BESTI have recently gotten into film photography and this podcast has been nothing but inspiring, educational, and fun to listen to. They always have amazing guests and the interviews feel more like a conversation than a regular interview. I am so glad I found this podcast.

jackie0207Yes - with some changesLove this podcast and listen to it while shooting street! Some qualms though, Chris gets left out of conversations, Timothy speaks over people, and soooo much gear talk, wish it was more artist process based!

mkennedyswThis show has helped me grow so much as a photographer!Over the years I have been introduced to dozens of my favorite artists in the world, and learned so much about my own process through the stories of others. There are so many reasons to take a photograph, so many formats, so many things to do with them after, that sometimes it can be really hard to understand where you fit in the grand scheme. This show fosters a community that enables you to see yourself in others, and feel seen in your artistic preferences. Endless love for Tim and Chris and all the years of thankless work to bring us together as a community. Not to mention, their stories each episode of their own experiences and relationships with photography are maybe the most inspirational. Sure when they have Alec Soth or Joe Greer on it’s easy to feel inspired, but what bridges the connection to me as an aspiring photographer is how THEY interact with said photographer. To hear them in real time connect the topics to their experience photographing as a mother or a music store worker is almost more valuable. That’s the heart of the community. Love y’all!!

MissstewbootyMust listen film photography showBeen listening for years, always excited to see an new episode to come out. Gear, projects, career paths, advice, anything you could need and I think it is essential in learning about film and gear related topics, but also just to listen to people talk about how they found film photography and what it means to them is something I never get tired of. The hosts are amazing and full of knowledge and are great at bringing out a natural and playful conversation with their guests. Highly, highly recommend!

Photoguy207Recently rediscovered filmI have been a photographer for 35 years, the last 22 all digital. Last year I rediscovered film and instant photography. Your podcast has helped me rediscover my film past from college and the earlier part of my career. After shooting digital with a 70-200 for the most part of 22 years, going back and using analog cameras that make you think has given my photography a creative boost. I am planning on backing the use of older equipment and techniques into what I do for my clients. Everybody seems to be a photographer these days and I try to be different than the masses. It’s good to hear from various analog photographers on your podcast to get ideas.

Jason688326just do better?Leaving a review because the podcast hosts begged on instagram for positive reviews instead of improving their performance based on fair constructive criticism. Hope this helps!
-
GodzooGreat ShowThis show is fantastic. I appreciate the conversational tone rather than just a standard interview with the artists. Makes me feel like I’m at a gathering and just eavesdropping. Very refreshing. It’s also inspiring to hear other photographers and what drives them to create. Keep the episodes coming.

WabbajackForHireMy Favorite PodcastLove this podcast so much. They have some really incredible guests from the world of photography. It’s always great to hear the different ways artists and photographers think about their work and process. Outside of being a great resource for all the different worlds of photography, this podcast is how I re energize whenever I feel disappointed with a roll of film. Thank you Cris and Tim! Appreciate everything you do!

Cap'n S.WeaselGood stuffI’ve been listening for years now and every new guest brings something new to my ears. Thanks!

Swim with nemoUsed to be a good show but not so much anymoreI used to love listening to this podcast but lately it feels somewhat boring. For a show about loving photography as a whole why the hate on digital photography? Change the theme song and the desert island question please

Ch-pimpMy favorite film photography podcastEach episode has been really enjoyable to listen to. I highly recommend it to anybody who is interested in film photography.

Bizzi1811It’s a classic! This is a classic at this point, the analog talk podcast is the only consistent podcast that has been around for a long time and always delivers! Chris and Tim are awesome hosts and have such a passion for film photography that it’s always interesting listening. The range of different guests from the photography world is great too!
-
GeebesHimselfPassion for FilmI love the guests Analog Talk brings to talk about photography, they introduce me to a lot of people I hadn't heard of before, and a ton of legendary photographers. It’s so interesting to hear different takes on film photography. Timothy and Chris are fantastic hosts who really allow their guests to tell us about their photographic journey, ask questions without getting in the way. I just appreciate this show so much and am glad to have it as a companion on my way to work or on my photo walks. Keep up the good work.
-
Blind ProphetConversational ToneThe best of its kind. Casual chats with a diverse range of photographers. Keeps me coming back for more!

katbeezy123InspiringI love the hosts and their passion for photography, especially personal projects. The guests they have on are interesting and they always make me want to get out and create. They've helped me discover a lot of great photographers!

Kate WasteThey’re awesomelet me start off by saying i have NEVER been a podcast listener. i’ve been recommended tons of podcasts and could never vibe with them. this one came recommended to me several times and despite my digging my heels in over it being a podcast (and assuming i would hate listening) after my boyfriend listened to an episode and said “it’s awesome” i gave it a shot. i was hooked immediately. i’ve been listening to all the episodes from the past and working my way to current (although i’ve skipped to a few current episodes as well). every time i start to listen not only does my day get a little bit better but i feel like i'm hanging out with friends around the dining room table talking shop. timothy & chris are amazing and i'm so grateful to them for creating this. it definitely makes my 9-5 bearable when i can sneak in some listening time. so. thanks chris & timothy please don’t stop! also. GO LISTEN TO THEM! ❤️

CaptainChazIt’s aightShow is ok. Formula gets tired when you binge. Guest comes on, they get the same surface level questions (too often gear related), hosts constantly talk about themselves as if the guests are there to hear them talk about themselves. Chris: stop interrupting to talk about your self. Tim: we don’t need your whole story every episode. Just could be so much better because there are some pretty accomplished guest on here. But we learn nothing outside of the Leica M6 is popular. Tim likes Tri-X and developing at home. Chris loves the T4 and doesn’t develop and home and is scared to do street photography. We got it.

dave ballsAMAZING!!!!!!!I’m new here but have been looking for something like this for a long time now and it’s perfect
-
...jolene...From awesome to just mehChris and Timothy are really good at allowing their guests to just open up and talk. As a pair their talent in interviewing is notable. Old episodes with more seasoned photographers were fantastic. Recent episodes featuring photographers with thousands of social media followers but minimal skill in actual photography makes it feel like the show’s agenda has changed. Between this and one of the host’s cringe-worthy lack of mic etiquette, it hasn’t been a time-worthy listen lately.
-
Dermer87I want it to be betterI’ve been listening to the show almost from the beginning and used to be a big fan. I’ve gotten bored with it. It’s the same surface level conversations over and over. It feels like you guys have some amazing opportunities to talk to some of the best photogs around and are just blowin it. Like if you didn’t ask the desert island/white whale question we’d all still be ok.
-
AlceriaGreat show with one small quibbleI really like this podcast and appreciate the hosts’ contribution to the analog community. So I say this with love and a sincere wish that this criticism is taken with an open mind. It drives me insane that one of the hosts consistently pronounces “photography” as “fertography”. We don’t call photos “fertos”, so why do so many photographers pronounce their vocation wrong? I thought it was just me, but there was just a big thread in a pro photographer group I’m in discussing how annoying this mispronunciation is. Otherwise a great show, but every time I hear “fertography” a roll of Portra is exposed to the light.

JuhdcbkysxbkgI want it to be a good showI love film cameras and the art of film photography, and I really wish I had more options for podcasts. I don't want to be a**hole here, but hopefully this could help it improve. The interviews are always so surface level. There are never any thoughtful discussions about art, creative process or intentions. Most of the show feels like "oh yeah" "yeah" "oh wow" "yeah I like that!" and what camera you use. I want to hear more about the process and meaning behind the art/artists. Insecurities, shortcomings, connections. The thing that makes film cameras so cool is the art that you create with it. The camera alone doesn't make a good photo, the artist does. I am a complete camera geek too, so I do enjoy that subject. I just hope they can learn to ask better questions and create better conversation. As it stands it honestly just feels like a couple interviews that don't care much about the art of photography.

devoncadamsLove this podcastI love Analog Talk. I started listening very early onc
-
secretly-importantReally just one of the best. One of the longest and most consistent film photography podcasts. Every episode features a guest who is involved in photography usually film photography. And most importantly there is usually a nice balance of gear talk and philosophical artistic process related discussion.
-

DoIreallyhaveto?Excellent show about an excellent mediumI recently discovered this show, the conversations they have are wonderful. They’re bringing in people who are passionate, knowledgeable, and working to bring the medium back. It’s a shame film prices are recognizing that too though…
