B.U.D.D.Y.Calvinist theology makes me cringe.Calvinist theology makes me cringe: it’s wrong on so many levels, immoral and distasteful.

YickersWonderful podcastI am really late in finding this church’s podcast but so glad I did. A friend forwarded me one of the sermons in the 7 Deadly Sins series and I learned so much from Pastor Jon and Ralph. Now I have a lot to catch up on but looking forward to it. They are great teachers and you can tell they really have a love for Jesus and care about helping and serving others.

Kat in GermanyIn depth biblical study and renewing vision for life with JesusPastors Suzie, John, and others bring in depth study and guidance that I rarely see in my local churches. I love listening on my way two and from work as part of my desire to depend my relationship with Jesus and theological understanding. Their vision for what life with Jesus can be is something that stirs me on in hope.

LambkanTruth in dysfunctionJon is a voice crying out in the dark wilderness of New Babylon. Lord hear his cry and draw many into your Truth and salvation. Thank you Jon and COCNYC for being a beckon of Light in the darkness of a narcissist culture. Preach on brother✝️

leafgymWhere I go…I am so grateful to have access to what I consider to be some of the great teachers available anywhere in the world, right at the top of my fingers. Jon and the team are so impactful in that their message continues to challenge and nourish me for the journey of living more fully into the image of Jesus. Thank you for making it so available to us all from a distance.

jdiencuf thdjLittle Baby BadgerIf you are in the Tulsa area, Andrew Forrest from Munger Place Church is coming to the Asbury Methodist Church. This church has disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church. Jon is refreshing as is Suzy as I will listen to several sermons in on sitting or drive. This is all for now. We are blessed to be able to listen to John. I am in Dallas. My daughter before moving from NYC, attended Church of the City NY. This is how I briefly met jon and became a Listener. Grace and Peace, chuck

littlebabybadgerLook forward to this all week.Jon Tyson always has the exact word I need to hear at any given time. He preaches honestly and directly. His sermons are perfect for every maturity level and every season. If I had heard him when I first converted, I would have been so encouraged. I live in Oklahoma so I can only listen to the podcast, but I wait all week long to hear the latest sermon. By far my favorite pastor to listen to. I also highly recommend the John Mark Comer Teaching Podcast for anyone looking for more quality content like this.

MkmdnGrounded hopefulThe messages are timely and relevant to our current season. For new and for old disciples this is time well spent. Both challenges and nurtures the spirit and provides instruction in forward momentum.

Jaime5287DisappointedBig fan until they starting openly expressing joy over pro-choice leaders being “elected”. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

southernceliaWorth a listenExcellent biblical teaching - well recommended!

RobertoB4Seriously Humble Biblical TeachingJon is great! But what is most evident is his humble submission to God’s Word! He doesn't sugar-coat anything but instead just shows up in a raw, authentic format and shares the Word of God and teachings of the Bible in pure form! Thank you!

Nashville313Life changingAbsolutely life changing. I’ve been listening to Jon Tyson and CofTCNY for a year now and Jesus has flipped my heart upside down through these sermons. JT isn’t afraid to tackle difficult cultural and societal issues that a lot of clergy won’t touch. I appreciate his honesty, research and obvious effort to educate himself on all topics that he brings forth from the pulpit. I am a long time Christ follower and am continually spurred on by the messages from CofTCNY. I have gone deeper with my relationship with Christ and gained courage to share my faith with everyone around me. I think the most monumental change in my life since listening to these podcast and sermons is the realization of the incredible impact that prayer has for the Kingdom. These messages have challenged me to pray like never before. I can see the direct fruit in my life from prayer. I can also testify to the authenticity of this body of believers. My husband and I traveled to NYC and we had the privilege of attending a CofTCNY service in midtown and I will remember it for the rest of my life. The genuine presence of the Holy Spirit was alive and present like nothing I have ever experienced before. This is a special church and Jon Tyson is (in my humble opinion) a modern day saint. Be prepared- Jesus will get a hold of your heart and everything will change.

K-AlexandraChristians and Seekers:If you want to be a Christian in todays culture, subscribe. If you’re seeking truth, subscribe... You won’t find anyone more compassionate or kind or considerate of your circumstances, whatever they may be. This cast is an absolute must-listen for all church goers and and seeking-non-believers alike! I’ve yet to find another preacher more compassionate and loving, yet bound heart/mind/soul to the truth of God’s Word. Jon Tyson is a wealth of knowledge and does not lack in any way in cultural and Biblical understanding and knowledge. 💯

HilaryRushfordJon Tyson is wildly giftedHaving learned from Jon for over a decade in person and virtually he remains the pastor with the most depth and relatability I’ve encountered. His sermons are so well researched, challenging, compelling, and yet never lose you. When speaking on hard topics he comes from such grace and love, offering up books to read on either side if you don’t agree with him. He will bless you.

Tam0726Praise God!Jon Tyson speaks truth from scripture and applies it so eloquently to our world and culture today! I wish all pastors could speak truth in such love as he does. If they would, our world and country could change dramatically in a way that would glorify God and look like the Jesus the scripture describes and who He is!!
-
hope757One of my favoritesA spirit-saturated combination of relevant truth and humble love. I’ve learned and grown so much from the leaders at this church through these podcast sermons. Definitely worth subscribing!

CityHill visitorNew Keller in TownNew York City has been known as the place in which Tim Keller preaches. With Keller retiring from ministry, however, I believe the baton, so to speak has been passed to Jon Tyson. He brings the theological rigor and insight of a Keller but at the same time adds a charasmatic flavor which is the perfect combination of a preacher. Another way of framing it; there is depth but not at the expense of being dry - the pitfall of many preachers.

LeocochranThoughtful, Relevant, Challenging and EngagingJon Tyson and his team constantly brings a thoughtful word each week. His Controversial Jesus series was one of the most relevant and thoughtful series I've heard. Without wavering from Biblical truth, Jon shares the truth of God's Word.
-
ksizzle7Incredibly transformative.Jon Tyson is an incredibly inspiring teacher and true theologian. I leave each sermon with pages of notes and a brain bursting with knowledge and insight. His Controversial Jesus series has been transformative in my life, and in the life of many. I cannot say enough good things about this community and the teachings.
