Drishti AThe most valuable landscape photography podcast I followI’ve learnt more than I could imagine from Matt and this podcast. The conversations are always engaging and can be revisited to learn new topics. Some of these podcast episodes have allowed me to push myself and rethink the way I approach photography for which I’m forever grateful. You will not regret the time you spend listening to this podcast!!! It’s the most robust resource including conversations with soo many amazing landscape photographers. You’ll definitely discover photographers you didn’t know anything about and learn more about photographers you already knew. Trust me you want to start listening to it each week. Or you can binge listen on Patreon and get early access to the episodes!

Matthew Bailey PhotosMy Go To for Landscape PhotographyThis is my go to podcast on the subject of landscape photography, and possibly my favorite of all the podcasts I listen to. It is consistent, informative, and entertaining. Matt Payne is not only an excellent photographer but also equally as good an interviewer, making you feel as though you are there in the conversation. If you have some time on your hands and love the art of photography, this the place for you with a plethora of back episodes for you to get caught up on. I hope to hear “Well hey everyone…” for many years to come.

Madeleine GallagherMost useful photography podcastI started listening to F-Stop about 18 months ago. My other favorite podcast was taking a break and I needed inspiration and information. Once I found this, I rarely miss an episode and am slowly working my way through the almost 400 episodes available! Matt is an excellent host with timely and creative questions that often explore areas of photography we wouldn’t otherwise consider. Check this podcast out and be ready to be challenged, informed, and most of all, inspired!

Martha MontielGreat content, great conversationsI’ve listened to Matt’s podcast for a while now. I love that aside from great conversations, I’ve been exposed to new artists, new ideas, new techniques etc. I love listening while on the road or when sitting at my computer working. Even while cleaning the house, it makes the time go faster and makes me think.

JT PhotoFavorite Landscape Photography PodcastThis is my favorite landscape photography podcast. Matt does a great job interviewing guests and exploring the photographer as a person and their creative energy. I’ve been introduced to many great creative concepts and interesting photographers over the years. Well worth the listen!

Patrick Krohn (One-Eyed Dog)PhotographerI very quickly learned that I liked Matt's interview style and thoughtful questions. I think I hear almost every episode his guest saying at least once, "That's a really good question." So, it means he does his homework. I also enjoy that he has a variety of guests. Case in point, long-time greats like Art Wolfe and much newer photographers like Michael Rung -- these happen to be back to back. He also had street photographer Kamal X. Which was great becasue it gave a few different perspectives to photography -- not a landscape photographer and also a POC. I think it gives a more well-rounded view of photography. Thanks for a very thoughtful podcast.

D_LouiseBy far, one of the best!I've been listening to F-stop, Collaborate, and Listen for a while now. Lately, I've been diving in to see how this Podcast has influenced my photography, and there’s been a big change. The conversations with professionals whose techniques are tried and true have been impactful and valuable. Each guest has a unique story and experience with photography, and infusing that experience into my workflow has been helpful. Much of it is due to Matt Payne's engaging conversation with each guest. This Podcast is a must for anyone who wants to further explore their deep connection to photography by listening to what others have experienced. It's one of the absolute best. Be sure to support their Patreon, as it keeps this quality Podcast up and running.

MrBill2021Great Podcast!Having been one of this podcasts early listeners, I am blown away by the fact that after 300 consecutive weekly episodes, Matt Payne manages to keep each episode fresh, fun, and above all, informative. The vast array of guests that Matt has managed to get onto the show have all shared thought provoking ideas, approaches and experiences that have been a big part in my growth as a photographer. Please consider finding this podcast on Patreon, and become a supporter of this fantastic program. In doing so, you also will gain access to early release of the podcast episodes. On a scale from one to five, this podcast is a perfect ten!

HerugrimDescent showWhen on point the podcast is great, but when the host starts moaning about social justice issues or pushing agendas… its an eye rolling misery to keep listening.
-
BradmangasNot Sure anymoreJust not what it use to be. Social media and mainstream media has ruined many things. Even photography podcasts.

deirdrerosesouthwestBest Nature Photography PodcastThis podcast is thoughtful, interesting and has really solid ethics. It would seem that most photography podcasts leave one or two of those out, so this podcast is a breath of fresh air! Always unique guests with good discussions.
-
Wankel RexFantastic, long running seriesI’ve been listening to this podcast for 3-4 years now, and it is easily my favorite one for landscape and nature photography discussions. Matt has done a fantastic job of refining his hosting skills over the years, and has attracted a phenomenal list of guests. I’ve been a supporter on Patreon for two years or so, and am happy to contribute to the show’s ongoing success. Even without the Patreon perks, I’d still be a supported given the value of the weekly episodic content.
-

J-Dizzle313A Game Changer!!This Podcast has changed my life! Honestly! I just started out with photography and it can all be overwhelming. I have taken much of the advice on this show and applied it to my own work and my approach to photography. Now I feel like I have direction and can feel even better about my journey. Matt has some of the best photographers as guests and he does an amazing job asking the right questions that will spark meaningful conversations. I just discovered this podcast a few weeks ago and have gone back through and listened to a few episodes more than once. IT’S THAT GOOD!! Thanks so much Matt!!

Jerry D GreerAwesome podcast! An awesome podcast about photography and the personal lives of the photographer.
-
schmalpalThoughtful and prolific nature photography podcastI appreciate that Matt, over the course of over two hundred episodes, has interviewed such a wide range of artists in the field of landscape photography. He’s steered the conversations to seemingly endless pertinent topics, beyond “wHaT’s YoUr FaVoRiTe GeAr?”— to creativity, travel, ethics, the internet, social dynamics, environmentalism, diversity, mental health, and more. By doing so, he’s given us a better understanding of what makes so many of these wonderful photographers tick. On top of the undeniable achievement of having assembled such a large library of interviews, I know Matt personally and he’s just a really good dude. Give this one a listen!
-
Phill M.Always a great listen!Matt has such an amazing and diverse set of guests bringing a lot of depth to photography, issues facing public lands and other worthy issues of discussion. So glad this podcast exists!

jcschillGetting into politicsI’ve listened to this podcast for at least two years. The last podcast both the interviewer and the interviewee just had to comment about politics and the former President. I unsubscribed immediately and didn’t even finish listening to the podcast. I listen to photography based podcasts so I don’t have to listen to talk about politics or racism.
-
old guy 58DisappointedDid Love the podcast I am a 58 yr old white male I was taught to treat people like I want to be treated and that is how I live my life. Getting tired of politics don’t want to hear it in my entertainment so I am unsubscribing.
-
gnagelGreat guestsThis podcast is a great way to be introduced to some great photographers. While listening to these informative podcasts I often browse through the portfolios of the guests.

GregVaughnTXBest and Most Interesting Photography PodcastI have listened to every episode of this podcast, and have enjoyed it’s changes over time. Matt has consistently introduced his listeners to well known and much lesser known photographers as well as branching into other areas that provide relevant information. He is engaging and asks intelligent questions. Another great aspect of this podcast is hearing how Matt’s opinions and thoughts toward photography have changed and become more clear over the years. I highly recommend this podcast.
-
Death5685Exceptional quality and learning here! The wide range and quality of people and information Matt brings to this podcast is nothing less than exceptional. There are other great photography podcasts, but Matt does a fantastic job with the interviews and teasing out valuable information for any photographer. Thank you!
-
paulschmitphotographyBinge-worthy photography podcastMatt has interviewed a startlingly vast array of incredibly talented and diverse photographers, and every episode contains nuggets of wisdom and inspiration that keep my passion for photography alive and well even during the down times. His casual but well-prepared interview style brings out the best in all his guests, and it’s easy to laugh along with all the great banter and storytelling. This has been my morning and afternoon commute binge for months now, and I’m always excited to find out who will be on his next episode! Can’t recommend enough!
-
Cyberagent007One of the bestF-Stop Collaborate and Listen is extremely engaging and informative. I actually feel like I'm coming away from each show with a bit of knowledge or something meaningful that relates to our craft. I might not agree 100% with everything I hear on the show, but it doesn't negatively impact my enjoyment. Matt’s background in psychology is likely a driving force that makes the interviews consistent and even flowing. Additionally, he maintains a great rapport with the interviewees. Keep up the great work and thank you for your contribution to the photography community!
-
Jesse Brown NelsonSince the beginningI’ve been listening since the beginning and every episode keeps getting better! I love Matt’s down to Earth, yet in depth conversations with all the amazing guests! I feel my work as a photographer may have even improved and grown because of this show and all the incredibly talented photographers the show has exposed me to. I especially love the shows that are dedicated to the business side of photography. Not many people talking about that stuff. Keep up the great work!
-
JSerra_Episode 149Just finished episode 149. What I enjoy about this episode is the discussion of film vs. digital and growing as an artist. Matt often brings up great topics that I can relate to. This episode directly tied into what I’m learning right now in my photography class.

Man with lots of contactsGreat content & podcastF-Stop Collabarate and Listen is a great podcast for those wanting to hear the journeys of well established landscape photograpers. As well as learning the business of becoming a Landscape photographer. I also like Matt's view for protecting the environment to ensure we have beautiful landscapes to shoot for many years to come. C Timothy FloydGreat Podcast! You can tell that Matt puts a lot of effort and a lot of himself in his podcasts. He finds great guests that run the spectrum of landscape photographers in terms of style, locations, techniques, etc. all have valuable lessons to share and the one hour is time well managed (probably a skill he honed in his other job). I get fired up after each episode. I discovered the podcast a few months ago and am going through them now. Very worthwhile listening.

danjstarkEverything you want in a podcast for photographersHey Everybody! There’s much to love about Matt’s podcast and I think the closing segment is a good example. The final question always involves Matt asking his guests “who else should I have on the podcast”. This moment is emblematic of the spirit of the show - photographers talking to photographers about their craft. Each guest brings a story about their own craft and hearing each is a lesson. I always enjoy learning from another workflow. I’m still always working to improve mine after 34 years of shooting. Adding this show to your playlist will introduce you to new shooters and new ways of shooting that can only improve your work. It’s by far my favorite podcast available that speaks to my passion for taking pictures - and also about the people that take them.

@roadless_wildExcellent landscape photography contentQuite simply, Matt talks to some of the best landscape photographers in the world, and invites you into the conversation. Landscape photography is a hobby for me and one that I've practiced for a long time, but never participated in any of the community, social, or educational activities that related to it (which appear to have exploded in the digital/social media age). I've had the opportunity to re-invest more time in the hobby in recent months, and made the decision to participate in more of that kind of stuff. Matt's podcast has been great at introducing me to the work of photographers I'd never heard of, identifing newer tools and resources I'd not known about, revealing some of how the 'industry' works, and tackling the most controversial issues of the day. One of the great things about the podcast is that some of the viewpoints expressed have really changed my perspective...which is a very difficult thing to do. I listen regularly, and greatly enjoy it!

TheBuckoReally hits home for meWow. Listening to your podcast of Nick Selway was like listening to me. Like Nick, I own a photography gallery and I don’t heavily retouch. I shoot Hawaii a lot and we both have similar challenges and goals. Excellent job Matt - thank you. By the way, I have listened to ALL your podcasts. I guess you can call me a true fan....
