Their successes and failures give you comfort to know that foil surfing is hard but the long and bumpy road is worth it. Listening to Erik dissect principles, techniques and concepts into easily applicable and digestible pieces is what makes this podcast so amazing. Erik has heart of a teacher which also means he’s ever the open minded student. Truly tremendous podcast!

Thanks for the awesome foilcasts. I was hoping someone would take on this topic to discuss the nuances of foil surfing. So much to learn and share! Keep em’ coming!!

I love Josh Waitzkin so I decided to listen to the episode with him. I'm not a troll, so I've left 5 Stars to support the cause - but there was something I wanted to mention. In the episode with Josh you mentioned one way to approach the learning process is to model something after someone you admire and then add your own flavor eventually finding a place where you can fuse the two styles. There may not be anything wrong with this approach (although it's not how I would do it) but in that episode it appeared your interview style mimicked that of Tim Ferriss - to the point that it felt inauthentic. I would revisit Josh's approach learning authentically since you have the luxury of being connected to him and see if you can cultivate a style that is authentically yours. Otherwise everything else was well done and hopefully you are continuing to enjoy the water adventures & experience the magic around this game we call life.
