Andysundesign.comGym 80 days no breakIn no world is it effective to work out 80 days in a row without recovery. You are 100 percent not working out properly and wont see results without injury. So far off the mark about fitness. Active recovery is a thing but in 80 days of acutally effective workouts you would need complete rest days. Otherwise you arent working out properly and wont see any results without damage, and lighting the wick and both ends…

ShawshaPlease come back!I adore listening to these lovely and talented people, it’s like sitting around and chatting with artsy friends (which I don’t have in real life). I hope they make more podcasts, although I know they’re all very busy! It really is great advertising for DesignCuts as well, I’m glad I found this and I may have to just binge listen to all the episodes since it’s been a while since I heard them.
-
TheprettyprPlease keep going! Great stuff!I stumbled across this podcast last year and have listened to every episode. I love the combination of personalities and how much I can relate to them being a graphic designer of 15 years. Not only that, they crack me up so much! I find myself chuckling along at their funny remarks every show. I’ve learned a lot from them and also have been introduced to some really amazing artists as well. Also, as a designer who works from home in a cabin in the woods, it can be very isolating. This podcast takes the sting of being alone away. I wish I had a crew of friends like these in my small town to chat over our creative endeavors together. I love listening and hope there are more seasons in the future as you four really brighten my day! Thanks a bunch!

mal.jpThis podcast > schoolI’m so glad I found this podcast! I’m studying design as a huge career shift, and these hosts and their guests have given me so much inspiration and shared such great insights I know will make all the difference in my career. Bonus points for mirroring the advice our professors and textbooks give, but in a format that doesn’t put me to sleep (sorry profs, nothing personal). Forget about school, I’ll just hang out with you all every week!

Tyson621Talking with walkingI like the podcast. I’ve been listening to the episodes as I walk back and forth to work. I studied graphic design in school and ended up working in architectural signage. The podcast has inspired me to try to branch out a bit and get my feet wet in other areas. The conversations are fun and everyone has good chemistry.

Easter WoodsExcellent Friends Who DesignThis show feels like I’m listening to my super smart and thoughtful friends who happen to be designers. Every week I learn how to be better at thinking about design but also I how to feel about designing. Its perfection.

Mseg4Time to get back to businessWhen they said they were going to take a little well deserved break, that was understandable. Break time is over. Hopefully everyone is recharged and refreshed as their content and more so the interplay between them is great.

Lamanosa100% Fantastic!I never leave reviews, but this time I had to. This has been one of the most helpful, interesting, and enjoyable podcasts I have ever listened to. The design work I do is not in exactly the same industry (I design cross stitch patterns), but so much of what they share is relevant to any type of design/creative work. Thank you so much for the wonderful podcast!

Rperez689Yoo-hoo! Where are you?Hey there! Miss you guys and gal! Come back!!

Rayco DesignThe best Podcast out there! This Podcast has already helped my freelance journey in so many ways! I only started listening to it 2 days ago, and have kept it playing while I work and have felt such a change in my mentality already. I was feeling really down about my work, and things being slow at the moment, but your podcast has helped me not feel so alone and helped me realize we’re all just trying to figure it out. Super amazing insights and you guys always give me a good laugh. Thank you for sharing your lessons with us who are trying to learn, you’ve helped more than you know! Rachel - Rayco Design

heathercashartSo fun and motivating! Lisa is amazingI look forward to this podcast every week! It’s like getting to sit around with creative friends and chat about art and business. I love all the podcasters, but my favorite is Lisa Glanz. She brings such a nice perspective and great tips for illustrators. Her art is amazing too, it’s cute just like her. Thanks for the amazing podcast!

JustJulia:)The content and motivation we need!I love tuning in to this animated group of people. Their sage advice in the creative space, and light-hearted humor always puts a smile on my face. As a small business owner of a website design company, I look to them for guidance and encouragement as they share their experience and nuggets of wisdom. Big thank you for your diligence in running this amazing podcast!
-
LyndamalMy FavoriteI look forward to new episodes each week and I’m still catching up on past episodes. It’s like sitting with your friends venting, problem solving, going off subject and laughing the whole time. Even interviews with designers who don’t do what I do are fun. I always get something out of it. I just request more surface designer shows and creating digital products (like the awesome Lisa Glanz does). The guys are okay too 😉. Keep those episodes coming.
-
Jessie schoenrockThanks a bunchThank you guys so much for the show! For as long as I can remember I’ve loved art and design but I steered away from it to pursue more “steady income”. I recently decided that was a huge waste of time and I’m starting to try to be a designer. Your thoughts and advice are gold and keep me motivated.
-
Abby_ChidlowSPEAKING TO STUDENTsLove the podcast. I’m a student studying design and I would love a podcast about some helpful hints, ideas, and how to make your time in design school worth it! Let us know about your time in school- the good, the bad, and the ugly!

JessicaPerryChanged my life! This review is long overdue, but I can’t thank these four enough. I have always wanted to be an illustrator and you guys showed me how to make that possible under my unique circumstances. About 2(?) years ago, while pregnant and planning to leave my decently-paying but dreadful graphic design job, I listened to the episodes on digital products and passive income. I did end up leaving my job and our income was cut in half, and it wasn’t until a few months after our son was born that I decided to jump into the digital product world. I will just preface this next part by saying our son was a terrible sleeper and to definitely definitely do this before you have kids if you can 😬 It was very hard with a newborn, but I’d do it again if I had to. I opened an Etsy shop selling nursery and kids wall art (all digital, no shipped prints) and worked on it for about two hours a day for several months. I’m about a year and a half in and am making twice as much as a did at my full-time jobs and working half the time. I have my own website and plan to expand into other marketplaces later this year. All the while being a SAHM to my now 1.5 year old. You guys changed my life forever because of your insights and willingness to share your experiences. I could write a novel on what this journey has looked like, and have been able to help a few other designer friends get on the same path because of your advice. I can’t thank you enough and still tune in weekly for new episodes. It’s always uplifting to listen in on your conversations! I can’t see myself ever going back to full time employment and am so excited for the future now. Thoroughly enjoying the freedom this lifestyle offers. Thank you so much!
-
TimBlakeArtI love listening! As a freelancing graphic designer/creative I love hearing the thoughts and valuable insights from other creatives. You 4 are awesome, have a great sense of personality and all of you are hilarious. Thank you!

Hobbsie0611Great timeThis podcast gives a lot of great info. Whether you use it for design, business, or just everyday life, always something great happening. And when they go off on a tangent and just sound like a bunch of friends having a drink, makes for really easy listening. They think people hate it, but it’s the best part.
-
kaiami*Just the bestDesign Cuts is the best all around. They have the best products with the best license and the best prices! Not to mention their live shows on Crowdcast, and the Podcast is just the icing on this amazing cake! So glad to be a part of the DC community! I’ve listened to a few other design podcasts but couldn’t even get through an entire episode. DC is great! They have topics that are important and useful, and they have a plethora of knowledge to share, all which they do so seamlessly. They truly make you feel like you are a part of their little family!

hmmmm... notsureRefreshingI browsed through a lot of graphic design podcast, and while I found a lot of them helpful many seem not relevant to where I am right now in my graphic design path or simply impersonal or flat out pretentious. While I do enjoy listening to interviews with seasoned designers who have made a name for themselves working for multi million-billion brands, The Honest Designers podcast puts the designer profession under a more personal light which I find refreshing. To someone like myself, who is trying things on my own and have never worked for an agency I can relate to the topics and the information they share is very useful to my creative life.

candice3847383Life Changing! And, I’m not exaggerating. :)I honestly feel guilty that I’m just now writing a review. I’ve been a fan of this podcast since the very beginning. I discovered this podcast at just the right time, when I was starting to rediscover my artistic side and seriously considering a career change into design. I have implemented so much of the advice provided by Ian, Dustin, Lisa, and Tom. No only is this content incredibly actionable, the podcast is just fun! I feel like I’m hanging out with friends. And through this podcast, I have connected with Tom who is so incredibly generous with him time and advice. Because of this connection, I’m moving forward with my dream job, as a side business, but with aspirations for full time. Thank you so much Tom, Dustin, Ian, and Lisa!
-
D. GoldGood insightThis show has some good insight. The panel is very open on topics. Plenty of tips for people to apply to their own practices. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. Your efforts are appreciated.

brittanyslBest Educational Design PodcastThis is the podcast that got me into podcasts, and even running! I’ve been listening for a year now and have learned so so much about design and business. I love the group dynamic of the four hosts, each one adding such a valuable and unique perspective! They’re incredible relatable and successful and funny and kind. You won’t be disappointed!

thomas-daleLocked into my Listening ScheduleI have really enjoyed listening to The Honest Designers Show. It's informative, entertaining, and everyone is just so genuine. I learn new things every week and it gets my creative juices flowing by introducing me to concepts or strategies that I have never been exposed to before. Top-notch podcast that I would highly recommend to any creative. I had time to write this review, because, following their advice, I unsubscribed to a bunch of emails that I normally spent several minutes deleting each morning. Thanks!
-
Graphics4meLove the honesty and openness!I love the honesty and the value provided by all of the hosts being so open about their experiences. Thank you so much.

It helps to listen to others that "get it" Thanks you guys!

ma-megI'm OBSESSEDThis is such a great podcast for any creative at any level. As an entry level designer, this has been the most helpful resource out there. They answer questions that I haven't even thought of yet. They give tips that are relevant to anyone, even non-designers. Their various knowledge/skillsets paired with their down to earth personalities makes listening to this show a part of my day that I really look forward to. THANKS for existing!
-
Me and GonzoBest podcast for Creatives of all skill level. This is by far my favorite podcast. I'm a "Jack of all trades" designer who has established a pretty good career in design after working hard for the past 15 years and listening to this podcast has been giving me the motivation to continue to try harder and to be more strategic and analytical about how I continue to grow. Not just for my personal work but also at my full-time job where I manage a small team of creatives with a heavy work load. This podcast has helped me learn better stratigies for managing my relationships with my team, clients and other partners in the business. I can never wait for the next episode to come out and have even back tracked to listen to the old ones i've missed. I've even relistened to some as refreshers. It's full of great design and entrepenurial tips, great interviews with amazing designers and fun banter bewtween the hosts who are each, in their own unique ways, wildly creative individuals. It's so refreshing to hear the truths and struggles of being a designer discussed in such a constructive way. I highly recomend listening to the Honest Designers Show!

CcwhatevaAll skill levels welcomeI really enjoy listening to this podcast because I think it’s valuable for people of all skill levels even if you don’t own your own business- even if you’re just doing artwork as a hobby. I work on hand painted signs in my free time while juggling a day job but listening to this podcast has really help me juggle my priorities while also recognizing that I’m not the only one struggling with finding my style or structuring my portfolio. Every episode has left me writing stuff down or nodding my head in agreement. Not to mention the episodes aren’t too long and the hosts have great chemistry with each other. It’s a recommend listen for any artist out there. @coffeetablestudio on Instagram

Reading SpecialistMust listen! My favorite podcast! I just started listening a couple of months ago and love to have this on while I work. I'm all caught up now and don't know how I'm going to get by having to wait a week between episodes now! Real life tips and I love the different perspectives each of the 4 hosts has. I also love that they are totally transparent and we can be a part of their own learning processes.
-
NatttypbKickass info about all things design! This podcast has become a new part of my daily routine. In just a few episodes, I’ve gathered information in lettering and entrepreneurship. The content has got a brilliant balance of causal and professional. It makes me feel like I’m right there in the room with you. Thank you all for giving direct advice and techniques to put into practice. I love the diversity as well 🧡

xSamuel JohnxAn honest perspectiveAbout a year ago, I designed and produced my own stickerpack, I had a decent success with sales. But have gotten multiple clients and eventually a job offer from doing personal projects; thanks to THD and all the strategies they proposed. Also I’m pretty sure I’ve heard each one of them at one point say, “why not?” I love this podcast and it’s been a great source of encouragement, and a great source for multiple perspectives on the industry.
-
tifferduIncredible Value!!I love this podcast so much and it has helped me more than all the books, courses, Youtube Videos, and everything else I have used to learn the do's and don'ts of running your own creative business. The conversation is immersive and you become part of it as the listener. You come to know Tom, Lisa, Dustin, and Ian like friends and you can't wait for the next episode:)
-
Ciera O. DesignsCause for Inspiration!I recently jumped on the podcast bandwagon. I listen to this while working at my day job that doesn't have much of a creative outlet all the time. This inspires my right brain creativity and I love the personability of the show. It's not a monotoned interview like some shows that I've come across and it includes stellar tips and opinion from the creative and entrepeanurial world. I'm only at epidsode 9 so I can't wait to get fully caught up!
