Nice podcast, but can you fact check?
Kirsten Dunst played Claudia when she was 10. There are quotes from her saying she was 10, so kissing Brad Pitt was weird for her. I am happy you guys like the TV show, but I think it’s a hot mess. Not really sure why it is diving into tropes like having the aged up Claudia…the actress is good but she’s 19 and looks 19, as opposed to Dunst at 10 playing a little younger. Was she aged up only to be sexual assaulted so she could know “have that darkness”. Ugh. What a slap in the face to rape survivors. Most of the changes to the books haven’t been great. A lot of it doesn’t make sense. It might have been easier and more horrific if the AHS crew did this and not make it a drama. I also wish Claudia in this series could have joined up with Killer and made a Fang Gang. Now it is just all about domestic violence and so much violence that I just stop caring. Why make Claudia a collector of body parts? Isn’t that raising eyebrows to the vampires in the community there? 56 bodies can just be explained away? So Lestat hasn’t been a rock star yet, even though the modern parts are set in 2022? The finger thing didn’t make sense either…just for violence’s sake, I guess? This would be a great show without violence. I also knocked this down one more star because it seems like the podcast is paid off in some way by AMC so is all the positivity real? Plus, I like the Mayfair Witches more! Maybe because I haven’t read the books. In the end, both shows are a bit ridiculous. Rice is probably rolling in her grave! Popping you up a star since I have been enjoying your agony! It’s weird you were ok with violence against women like Claudia in the AMC’s Interview but here, it’s bad. Confusing. But for the record I didn’t like TV’s Lestat as much as you.

    Great podcast
I found this podcast after watching AMC's IWTV. I've really enjoyed the series and I've equally enjoyed this podcast. They are a lot of fun to listen to and have some good insight. I'm a fan! I'm still listening to their Mayfair recaps even though I'm not as vested in that series, but I like the podcast's recaps.

    Immortal Universe Fan Club
Love vampires, witches, and fantasy genres? Want to follow bloodsuckers as they ponder existential questions about life? Just like seeing sexy immortals and spellcasters being overdramatic and hot? Then Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles, The Witching Hour, and this podcast is for you. The Articulate Coven bites deep into the original books and AMC’s TV adaptation of Interview With the Vampire and the upcoming Mayfair Witches, as lots of other supernatural antics along the way. Come join the fun! Don’t wait till you’re dead to enjoy the undead.

    Feeding My Anne Rice Addiction
This is such an entertaining, considerate podcast. I started listening as a companion to AMC’s Interview with the Vampire series, and I appreciate the respect and love for the source material, while leaving space for the interpretation and nuance of the new adaptation. Can’t wait to dive into more with these two great hosts as the Immortal Universe lives on.

    Entertaining & informative
I got into reading Anne Rice after the release of the Interview with the Vampire movie back in 1994 & rememeber getting the 1st four books as a gift. Read through them quickly & read her other works like The Mummy, The Mayfair Witches, etc. She was certainly a gateway author for me into other stuff like Stephen King, Nancy Collins, Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman, etc. Though I haven't read any of her stuff in quite some time I do look forward to the hearing these guys discuss The Vampire Chronicles books in chronological order. Love listening to this podcast at work or in the car.

    Right on time!
Excited to stumble into this podcast! I watched Interview with the Vampire last night and decided to check if there were any podcasts discussing one of my favorite movies! I love the enthusiasm of the hosts as they lovingly discuss the best bites of Lestat news. I didn't even hear about the impending series so that was a real treat! Thanks guys! I'll be listening!

    Finally!
Just discovered this podcast, and I'm already hooked! Recently delved into the books after the TV show announcement, but disappointed that there was virtually no discussion out in podcast land on Rice's amazing work. Thankfully episode 3 was uploaded a couple days after I found it, after a few months absence. Which I understand, it's not easy to make these... here's hoping to hear more in the near future. You guys rock!

That which goes bump in the night
So pumped for the series! It's an exciting time for those that love the series and the whole vampire genre. Perhaps this will right the wrongs of Twilight?

The world's greatest Vampire finally gets his own podcast!
Lestat has never been shy about sharing his stories which is why I was surprised there wasn't a podcast already about him and the series from Anne Rice. With the news about the forthcoming TV series, the time is perfect for the fan community to have a place to share and speculate about the new stuff while revisiting and discussing the old!
