As a huge Pelicans fan I’m always looking for any podcast coverage featuring them. I keep trying this one and it always disappoints. For a 30 minute podcast, 10 minutes are ads which is a slog to listen to. There is never any new information, other podcasts cover them much better. I’d recommended “From the Wing” and “The Pelicans Podcast” to their fans looking for Pelicans content.

He needs to update shows right after games And stop taking the weekends off we want locked on pels on game day. You can learn a lot from locked on Mavs or even locked on lakers. That’s how you do a show.

Get Zach Edey he’s so talented really good in the paint he can hit hooks use his size and hit shots over others. Defensively he can block a ton of layups he started the basketball championship blocking two shots.Really good player in the paint. I think underrated aspect of his game is his screens that he did with with Braden smith or Loyer. This would maybe just draw a double he can kick it out Zion could then scoop it to the basket might be the steal of the draft even though he’s 2 times best college player of the year. GET HIM

Been a ‘almost’ daily listener for four years now. I listen to the other teams podcasts also. This one is definitely a cut above. Well written and organized and as much balance as expected from a team podcast. A+

Jake brings a passion and dedication to this that you Don’t really see on all podcasts such as these. He really loves the Pels and doing this podcast and it shows. I don’t always agree with his takes but that’s fine - there will always be different opinions on sports. Keep bringing that genuine passion Jake and all will be fine.

Jake is there with reasonable insight. His manner is calm, and prepared. Many of the podcasts are just “foul-mouthed-listen-to-me”blow hards. Locked on Pelicans is a cut above.

Great show. Generally agree with your takes but ngl I think trading for Mitchell would be a terrible idea. Giving up two potentially elite role players on rookie deals who play good to great D for one max level dude who doesn’t defend? That ain’t it.

Jake gives good, concise info on the Pelicans 5 days a week.

All of the Pelicans podcasts are good but “Locked On” is the best by far. If you like digging deeper and getting into numbers and facts and not just opinion this is the one to listen to.

Thanks for helping fill in for my Pelicans news daily and allowing me to get info I normally don’t hear on the local news or national news for that matter! Great listen and lots of information!

First thing I turn on when I wake up throughout the week is this podcast! Jake does a great job of breaking down current NBA and Pelicans events and is a straight shooter when it comes to the state of the team! If you’re a Pelicans fan, you won’t regret adding this your podcast or YouTube subscription list!

Jake Madison will provide great insight during draft week, free agency, and summer league, just as he provides during the NBA regular season. His podcasts are concise and not too long. Don’t know how he does this 5 days a week!

While I don’t always agree with Jake, he brings it every day with tons of energy and insight. The best daily sports podcast I’ve heard.

Latest is podcast whining about the refs for like 20min due to a REALLY BAD no call on Zion. The NBA refs are terrible across the league. This is a sore looser podcast just like the looser Pels. How about don't be down by 9 points with 45 seconds to go, and take care of the darn ball? SVG is a terrible coach and is wasting Zion's talent, he will likely leave for the Knicks in 3-4 years like AD did, if the Pels don't get SVG out ASAP. The Pelicans have severly underpreformed this year, that's the bigger story.

This podcast is my favorite way to keep up-to-date with what’s happening with the Pelicans. NOLA Jake does a great job of giving really solid game previews and analysis. He also has great takes that even non-Pelicans fans could agree with. He isn’t completely non-biased (nor should he be). You can only truly and fairly criticize what you care about deeply, and NOLA Jake cares about the Pelicans.

Jake brings it every day

aside from the intermittent profanity, this is a good show, i am learning a lot about basketball from Jake. however, i rarely watch a Pels game live, mainly due to my work schedule. i record whatever games are available in this time zone (PST) and watch when i can. sometimes, it takes two sittings to get an entire game in, so i am often disappointed when i scroll thru my podcast feed. while looking for something to play during my 1-hour commute, if this’d passes across the screen after a game, the title often reveals the outcome. sometimes, i just delete the game when i get home. Jake, i’m sure you can come up with a podcast title that does not spoil the game for those who have not yet watched it, even if you just call it “recap and analysis” every time. if not, i may have to quit the pod, which i would rather not do.

I love it because I don’t have the time to watch all of the games and this podcast and it’s host Jake Madison accurately gives you the pulse of this team, the way no other source does. The analysis is ALWAYS A+. Listening simply helps me keep up with the team with the most efficient use of my time.
