Random person -not youWhy include politics?Honestly the show itself is funny and informative I have no issue with the content about the creatures. My issue is that politics are constantly being brought up. I believe you can have whatever views you want, but why bring them into something that’s not political at all? The whole appeal to tabletop is that it brings people together and they can get away from all that stuff for a little while. It’s a shame really but if you are fine with politics being brought up frequently you’ll enjoy this podcast.

Hunter The HereticFunny but alienate viewers via politicsThey are funny and give good info! However, they also put in their own political beliefs which can be fairly bothersome or annoying to some people. I myself kept trying to over-look it at times, but it kept coming up a lot. The insulting of people who do not believe the same as they do and bringing up of topics that alienate a lot of viewers. It is clear this show is targeted for a more left leaning audience and that bums me out, cause It leaves people like myself feeling left out, alienated, and generally not wanted. If that doesn’t bother you, then I highly recommend this. But if you cringe when people start talking about their own beliefs on an occasion, then you might want to stay away. I tried my best guys. But I guess I’m not wanted here.

sleptmylifeawayYou won’t realize you needed this till you try itCriminally underrated show, and great format. Episodes are always “just right” length and they’re a great companion to the everyday routine.

Nort333Beautifully funIf you like any role playing game. You’ll like this! I hope someday they do the 1st and second edition Chill ruleset by Pacesetter.

Themax8991Short and sweetQueue up hundreds of bite-sized examinations of monsters from various tabletop systems, with a density of energy and humor that never gets old.

FlipseidAwesomeThis is podcast is the perfect size whenever I’m feeling the D&D itch but don’t have time to play. I have only played D&D so it’s nice to hear about other table tops too. It’s lighthearted and imaginative and they make great Simpsons references.

PapaBeardPhDCan’t wait for the new seasonOne of the funniest podcasts around. Huge fan of the banter and occasional explanation of a monster or two. Was sad when they moved away from D&D but it was still an amazingly funny show. Can’t wait for Call of Cthulhu.

Bear ArmbrusterAnother great, even more compact gem from DuckfeedShowing strength of design, and that less is more, hosts Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross (Watch Out for Fireballs, Bonfireside Chat, Abject Suffering, etc.) give us a short, sweet little +3 vorpal rejoinder to each of the entries of monstrous compendiums, from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons’ obtuse rules bureaucracy to the style and (sometimes) substance of 2e Shadowrun. You know you can spare five minutes. Listen to it and laugh.

chickenriggiesRandom EncountersSeason 1 was such a great romp through the ridiculous AD&D Monstrous Manual. Gary and Kole gel so well in destroying how silly some of this book’s creations were. There’s some good clean fun here, but they do work blue. First, listen to the Treant episode. Then start from the beginning and sprinkle the Treant episode back in every 15 or so.

BrirunBeholderfest is the best!I look forward to every little vignette, but beholderfest was awesome!!

O.W. HobbsTwo very good boysYou know what I don't like that much? D&D monster manual entries. You know what I DO love? These very good boys. Five stars.

P.P. RegularAwesome!I had a similar idea awhile ago when I found this. Super fun. The monster manual has some huge duds though that can kill that episode. Don't worry, you get 3 of them a week and it's less than 10 minutes long.

EricThomas21Bite-sized and binge-worthyGary and Kole have an uncanny ability to weave on-topic analysis and insight with random puerile humor, quasi-political musings and deep cut pop culture references. This podcast is appropriately bite-sized for a few minutes waiting in line at the grocery store or at the drive thru, but also perfect for back-to-back bingeing. I only have a passing interest in D&D, but I love being a fly on the wall for these endlessly entertaining conversations between friends.

Asher656Little potions of escapingOne of life's lesser known pleasures is walking down the street while covertly listening to Gary and Cole hash out which chromatic dragons are sweet as hell and which are just lame copycats. Also the village-drenching reproductive habits of the gargantua. Hits some nostalgic notes but it mostly feels like sleepover humor. I likes it.

TheKingOfToastAlmost perfectI've gotta give this 5 stars because it is great for what it wants to be. I know I'm just one listener with one suggestion but these are my thought; The banter between the hosts is great, I feel like there should be more of that. I really like the d&d stats aspect of the monsters and how DMs could use them. The frequency of the podcast is great, but I would almost say a less frequent and longer podcast with more monsters could be better. I understand that not every monster has deep lore behind it, but I think if you put together 1 monster with deep lore and possibly 20 minutes of content with 2 or 3 lesser monsters then that could be a way to really dive into the monsters with a lot of information while not neglecting the monsters that don't. Regardless this is a great podcast and almost exactly what I was looking for when I ended up finding it. Keep up the great work.

tim_schu_I don't even play D&D but think this pod is great!Monsters are fun to talk about. Gary and Kole are funny. Very small commitment. Would recommend.

DBosargeGreat for EveryonneMIMP is a delightful bite-sized chunk of comedy-infused D&D to start each week. No working knowledge of D&D is required--Gary and Kole will give you enough information to understand as they range far and wide on sometimes related but always funny tangents. The best possible use of a few minutes 3 times a week.
-
Logical EagleDelightfulFun little bite size show, very funny and nice hosts.
-
ZaynationMy new favoriteShort, funny, full of ideas for D&D but enough stream of consciousness to appeal to people who have never played.

RavenStorms619A walk through memory laneI am loving this podcast. I have had many of the Monsterous Manuals over the years and remember this one fondly. Hearing them gush over some of the really odd monsters is fantastic and currently we're right in the middle of BeholderFest 2016, SO GOOD!!!
-
Brandon DouglasSuper fun! These bite sized monsters are a perfect change of pace from the 1.5+ hour podcasts I typically listen to. Some very funny takes on some goofy foes.
-
EvilTKatA great addition to any subscription poolLike hot sauce, it goes good with everything and compliments your feed no matter what show it precedes. It's rooted in D&D culture, but not so much as to allow the content to limit the audience; it's more like "comedy with a dash of D&D". Hilarious and highly recommended even if D&D isn't your thing.

revengeancefulBite Sized FunA great little reaction to DnD monsters, very brief and entertaining. Check it ou!

EcecececSomething different from the Duckfeed boysGary and Kole are known to be funny guys. They have a great rapport and seemingly can talk about anything and everything. What sets this podcast apart is the brevity: it seems highly tuned to get you in, make you laugh, then get you back out again. Despite being short, it still feels like a normal cover satin between friends who just love to goof on stuff. Good work, fellas.
-
RayganMonster MashThis is a great concept and Gary and Kole are just the right people to pull it off. Great quick funny stuff.

TommydeeliteThis podcast is the future.I made sure to rate and subscribe.

Rmon301Fun and interesting! The quality of sound is good, no room echo here. Nice job guys! This podcast has a pretty nice, albeit not exhaustive, breakdown of D&D monsters. I've already recommended this podcast to all my DM friends!

Zack DeaneA tasty little treatSmall dose podcast with big laughs from Gary and Kole, the guys behind Watch Out for Fireballs and Bonfireside Chat. If you haven’t heard any of their shows yet, this is a great place to start. If you like this, check out their other shows, specifically Abject Suffering.
