Love it - too many ads otherwise perfect

Geeeeezzz. STOP, STOP, STOP the “fake”, overemphasizing speech. It’s distracting because it’s fake. Use your own voice. I won’t listen to these B S, “look at my voice” crud. This is 90% of the reason that 90% of pods fail…INAUTHENTICITY

This is the most fun podcast out there.

One of my favorite podcasts, it’s so great ! The calls are interesting, and I know some folks have an issue with the host’s voice, but I think it works and makes the episodes spooky and fun, which is what he’s going for.

Hers the thing dude does no prep ahead of time and don’t join the Patreon because once a month takes a week or more off and to feel the regular show, he releases a Patreon episode. I don’t know how these Podcasters ever worked a real job.

I can’t wait to see what gruesome scandal wrecks this one!

Please the people calling in reading their creepy pasta has to stop. Calls used to be good enough you could ignore the weird Batman voice.

This is a great show with a great host. There are some callers that are full of it but you will always have that. So many entertaining stories and I actually like the round table episodes, you whiners.

Literally this man said in the beginning of me listening to his pod that he would tell stories for people to look at him weird or dismiss him yet I know it isn’t just me but in a clairvoyant and have called in with stories of seeing some one die before they did yet all I hear are the most fabricated stories and or delusional children who saw a cat like come on bro definitely unsubscribedYou literally have people reading off paper what a joke smh and to get people to tell you Their story for you to pick and choose the lesser is insane

this is a top 3 podcast for me, if not #1 favorite. everything is done just right from the subjects, the pacing, the feedback. ads & rambling is something that weighs on my nerves quite a bit but with your podcast the ads are quick, easy and sometimes even lead me to new podcast suggestions. come to think of it i don’t even realize many ads at all. you don’t ramble, always straight to the point and only say what’s necessary even when giving feedback. you’re logical yet open minded like myself and have even turned me into a bigfoot believer which is something i truly never thought i’d be saying, haha. thanks man - keep up the incredible work and top shelf quality. you really are the best of the best, especially in the genre. you and your wife are quite the dream team. cheers.

This is the best podcast with some logical reasoning to the show instead of making everything about seem like what people witnessed is paranormal. I have some interesting experiences. I like the Hometown Legends series and the Halloween special. I will definitely call and share my experiences. I’m a big fan of the paranormal. I know that there’s logical reasons to why something might happen to a person. I have some interesting stories about the paranormal phenomena that I have experienced in California and Oregon.

A coworker turned me onto the show a couple of weeks ago and I’m already on season three. It’s now December and it’s dark when I get home so I’m usually listening at night and it’s getting spooky. Spooky because a lot of these stories have a sense of familiarity and as I start to remember things for my past, I’m taking notes. I’ll be calling in soon. I listen every night I can’t stop.

I love this podcast. So much so that I joined patreon, if only to ensure they have the support to keep it going! (You don’t have to pay to get the majority of content!) For real this podcast keeps me moving through my week. I love that they are true stories, the intention is to debunk/explain so much as revel in the mystery, and the series of short stories makes it easy to pause and then hop back in when my life interrupts (which it often does). I’m so happy I found this little podcast - I’m so grateful for All who make it happen!

The stories are featured from individual callers and there are a select few read by Derek from emails. Their team is phenomenal! Sarah is very attentive to the listeners feedback. The research conducted by Delainie is thorough and Derek’s delivery on the podcast is very entertaining. The stories range from diverse topics and cover subjects that I’ve never heard before. Highly recommend if you like campfire spooky story times.

Growing up I was a huge X files fan and loved all things pararnomal and cryptozoological. This podcast hits the spot. I love the range of topics from Appalachian tales to encounters with Zozo the demon. I like hearing others story’s of paranormal happenings. I appreciate Dereks pragmatic approach to explanations. Huge fan!

Derek is amazing and the stories are great and perfect for people who love this genre of pod and wants spooky season to be all year.

The earlier episodes are so much better- the new voice of the host is beyond annoying. In one episode he sounds like a normal guy, and the next episode it sounds like a voice actor doing a Robert Stack imitation. Ugh. I hate it. Please, please stop talking like that. It is incredibly annoying.

This dudes breathy whispery voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Listened to half an episode and couldn’t get through it. Just talk normal, bro, you’re doing too much.

There are soooo many paranormal podcasts out there, some good, most not so good. Monsters Among Us always delivers a solid, well produced, entertaining, and often creepy podcast. Listener stories, with considered intelligent responses from the host. If you’re not hooked on this great podcast, binge a few episodes and enjoy! UPDATE: This show continues to be the best of the genre. Excellent presentation, research, production values and balance. Since my initial review, I’ve lost interest in many podcasts, but not this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I listen to this show all the time while I am working and it really gets me through the day. I’ve listened to other paranormal podcasts and my favorite part of those other podcasts were the listener call ins bc they have a more credible feel to them. This show cuts out all the fat and exclusively plays listener call ins. Tens of thousands of people out there seeing paranormal sightings and this show gives those people an outlet to get their story out there to be heard. Also to have a grounded and rational viewpoint about those calls shared from the host gives voice to a more skeptical answer about these calls. Thank you Monsters Among Us for giving us all a place to share and hear about the creepy side of life. Keep up the good work. P.S.- can you guys find more doppelgänger stories? They really creep me out.

I’ve listened to this show since its beginnings and the production has drastically improved and keeps getting better. I was so happy when the show added the subscriber edition directly on Apple Podcasts so I didn’t need to create a Patreon! So anywho. Great job Derek and team!
