X-Files has been my favorite tv show for at least a decade now and have you guys discuss this show the way you do brings me laughter and joy. Thank you so much!

To be honest, I only listen to a few podcasts, but this is the one I look forward to the most. It is a must for X-file fans. You can tell the hosts are die-hard fans, but they also know there way around writing a story, film and music editing, and the entertainment world in general. Granted, the tone and content brings me right back to my 21-year old lance coolie years, but I admit I love it. Laughing multiple times each episode. In essence, recommended to all.

I found you through Science Fiction Film Podcast and The Lost Drive-in (both endlessly entertaining.) I was a baby when the show first aired and my brother used to scare me with it all the time. I first watched the whole series in 2015 and rewatched my favorite eps an embarrassing number of times at this point. Dean and Josh, you make snooze episodes like Fire enjoyable for me. Now I pay closer attention to music accompaniment of Mark Snow, Rob Bowman’s producing, various writers and that makes me view and appreciate the X-files in a whole new light. You make great points discussing its zeitgeist, and cultural impact it has had on the future TV/films/books/social psyche and where the show pulls it’s influences from. You’ve created a lovely community of devoted listeners who tune in during live recordings and I look forward to those every week/other week. Thanks for bringing so much amusement to my life. i’ve been listening to josh and dean for a little over a year now and boy am i glad i stumbled upon this podcast. i am obviously a huge x-phile and was looking for something to whet my x-files appetite. josh and dean explicate their way through each episode (in chronological order) and they share personal stories and jokes along the way. josh and dean’s chemistry couldn’t be more apparent what with how they riff off each other and make jokes at one another’s expense. highly recommend this pod to any serious x-files fan - just make sure you can handle some rated-r content! DUANE BARRRYYY!!!!!!

This podcast is perfect for an X-Files fan. Josh and Dean watch, review and critique every episode (currently in the middle of season 3, with seasons 10-11 already done). Their episodes are recorded every other week, and they invite their listeners to join their live stream via Mixlr and interact with them with the chat feature. It's a lot of fun and I usually find myself laughing hysterically! Also, a couple episodes each season they do a live watch-along episode, which is pretty cool. These guys crack me up!! They're not always politically correct, but it's all in good fun.They are never malicious about it and poke fun at themselves often. If you're one of those people who are offended by the non-PC culture or by foul language, this podcast is not for you!! However, if you know when a joke is just a joke and couldn't care less about swearing, I suggest you give this podcast a shot. Josh and Dean, I hope your busy schedules allow you guys to complete the remainder of the series. I want to believe that nothing will happen that will force you to stop doing them!! Thanks so much for the laughs and for the often thought-provoking discussions. You guys notice things in this show that I, as a woman who has watched the series MULTIPLE times, never even thought of. I'm often amazed at the things you bring to our attention.

I accidentally stumbled upon this podcast looking for Kumail Nanjiani’s The X Files Files (sorry guys) but I will say I enjoy this one so much more! Dean and Josh are hilarious and offer interesting insights to each episode. I started listening when the guys would pick random episodes to watch (which would come every four months or so lol) so I am so happy they’re covering the entire series!! Keep up the great work.

I had seen a few X Files episodes in the past, but wasn’t a fan of the show until I started listening to this podcast. I discovered it as a member of SFFP and now I’m hooked. Dean and Josh have great chemistry and I really relate to their sense of humor. The most fun I’ve ever had listening to a podcast, keep up the good work guys!! Nothing brought me more joy than when LSG decided to review all the X-Files episodes! This podcast is "must listen" for me, I tune in as soon as it's posted. I have seen complaints about the humor, but for me I don't tune in for hot takes about current events and woke narrative. I just want to sit back, relax, laugh and be entertained by some ridiculousness for a little while. Keep up the good work guys, don't change, your podcasts (all of them) are exactly what I need to unwind!

I listened to 9 episodes. Started out promising. Then quickly went downhill. They spend more time making stupid comments about characters than they do talking about the actual episodes. They offer no additional information about writers, directors or anything. It’s just them being obnoxious half the time. It’s not even fun to listen to. I think my 5 year old niece would have more interesting insights.

This podcast is great for when I’m in a mood for x-files but don’t have the time to sit down and watch an episode or two, there is a fair amount of swearing, but that’s just how it is with a lot of podcasts, and it’s labeled explicit so if you don’t want to listen to it then don’t but overall I think it’s a great show.

I remember watching The X-files during its original television run. I dropped off in later seasons, then picked it back up when the new (mostly crappy) seasons came out recently. I still remember the past seasons of the show fondly though and this podcast is a great way to relive the show through the eyes and minds of Dean and Josh. You can tell these guys are true fans of the show and love talking about it. I mean, why else would someone cover a show that's 20 years old? But it's soooo good. They chat, the goof around, they get in-depth and insightful about the themes of the show. This podcast is everything you want in an X-files podcast. I suggest you subscribe now so you have some good memories to hold on to when the aliens abduct and probe you.

I just started to listening to this a few days ago and am hooked, they are great to listen too while at work.

This is one of the best X-Files podcasts out there. Josh and Dean are mostly well researched and well-spoken about the episodes and the characters. And they’re hilarious. I listen while I go for long runs and more than once, I’ve had to stop to catch my breath because I was laughing so hard. Bring on the f bombs!

I think they are funny & clever. You can tell they are fans of the x-files with great insight. I listen to their other podcasts too after I discovered this one am I’m happy I did they are not chauvinistic they are just being normal 80s & 90s people that grew up trying to survive in a world that lost its sense of humor. So listen to it to have fun and enjoy not to judge take care stay safe everyone

I’m pretty sure they are anti-men. I mean, in their review of the WereMonster they don’t even discuss the curvature of Mulder’s peen in those delicious red silk briefs!

I’ve listened to some of the revival recaps and the pilot recap. I’ll continue to listen to a few more. There’s definitely some misogynistic remarks. I think a female perspective would help a lot. During some of the season 11 recaps, there were some very interesting Scully moments that were overlooked or brushed over on this podcast that should’ve have been discussed a little more. If each one of the guys could view the episodes from Scully’s perspective and Mulder’s perspective I think the podcast could have a much more interesting discussion.

The X-Files are precious to me and a treasured part of my younger years. I’ve watched all of the episodes over again since then a couple times through. These guys are entertaining as hell. I love to listen to their take, and then rewatch through a whole new lens of enjoyment. It has renewed the show for me. Also they were great company in getting through the latest season, which had some great episodes and then some plot line episodes that were watched and promptly dismissed. I’m so glad you guys have decided to commit to the full pull. I’m looking forward to it. Enjoy! :)

Every kid that grew up in the 80s/90s was giddy for an xfiles reboot. Dean and Josh were spot on and hilarious with the podcast. Please do more old episodes!

This podcast was such a joy to listen to during the course of the revival—I’m heartened by the possibility that there will be more episodes, but in the meantime I’m definitely going to miss it. Josh and Dean manage to excel in the difficult balancing act of humor and genuine love for the show and it makes for a super fun listening experience. Already hankering for more episodes!!

Spent a lot of time looking for a good x-files podcast and finally found it! These guys are hilarious but aren't afraid to tell it like it is - good episode or bad. If you want someone who just fawns over how great every show is, then this probably isn't the podcast for you, but if you want something that will make you laugh and think from two guys who obviously love the show, subscribe now.

LSG Media has done it again with a spectacular podcast. The blend of humor, reverence and criticism is balanced when it needs to be. The adult humor, sarcasm and shenanigans are hilarious! Did I mention adult humor? There is a reason for the little red "E" so if you don't have a sense of humor or constantly require ear muffs then you may want something a little more vanilla. As for those that grasp sarcasm and obviously don't mind grown up talk then jump in with both feet! Dean and his team are simply amazing at what they do and their podcasts have me waiting in anticipation for each new episode. If you want to listen to a couple of 30-something teenagers disrespect your favorite show and beloved characters and talk trash about women, well, here you are. If you are an intelligent, loyal fan and you hope for a multi-layered exploration of this complicated show, look elsewhere. I tried two episodes, but had to turn it off when they railed about what a bit** Margaret Scully was, and "I hope she f*cking suffered" when she died. Don't insult this great show with your mean-spiritedness and immaturity.

I had to quit listening after the 15th sexist remark.

Josh and Dean take no prisoners and shoot you in the face with funny and genius. I'm totally shipping these two!

This is a pretty good podcast. Obviously these guys have known eachother a very long time. The analysis of the episode is well done,but they do tend to nitpick. Also, as the fahter of a 7 year-old daughter, I can't listen to this in the car because of the gratuitious use of the "F" word. I get that you want to be unfiltered, but every scene of the show does not deserve one of you screaming, " What the f**k!" I know you guys said this is an explicit podcast, but it seems excessive. Overall a good show that suffers from the excessive use of profanity.

Sitting in LA traffic is one of the most trying experiences, but thanks to this podcast I've been able to relive some of my fave episodes and stamp my urge to rear-end random cars on the 405! I'm already an emotional wreck from my excitement over the 6 episode event and these guys are so funny and into the show, that they help me cope a little bit better!
