False EquivalenceElitismI liked Essentialism and have Effortless in my queue. The podcast is annoyingly add heavy as noted before. In the latest podcast Greg claims to be non-partisan but then has an elderly billionaire recount having to behave like a sycophant just to exist with the prior US administration. Nothing remotely critical of the previous administration was made which shows a difference to the previous administation that insults the audience. Simplification is no doubt a worthy goal but when leaders resort to manipulating fears it is not simplification. Shifting a current problem to the future is just profiteering. Greg is jeopardizing the trustworthiness of his advice if he does not change course and address multi-factor problems for long term benefit. There is enough avenues for billionaire worship we don’t need this podcast to be another one.

SherryBelulBrings me home to my heartI am a huge fan of the book, “Essentialism,” and have read it many times. This podcast is a beautiful companion to the book. I love listening to these episodes when I am walking in nature and reflecting on what really matters in my life. I’m so grateful that Greg McKeown has dedicated his life to this work. He has given so much of his time and energy to making these big contributions to the world. I feel the ripples of his work every single day in my own life. The ripple effects will live on forever — in everyone who makes intentional choices and all the folks they impact. Thank you!

Cmmoore313Too Much Time Spent on AdsThe content is valuable, and it’s simple enough to hit the skip ahead button several times until you can get back to the content. I’m more concerned about the conflict between handing out advice on building more meaningful relationships away from Social Media while shilling for Social Media businesses. Which is it? Do as I say, not as I do?

skcab5dnGreat reminder on Routines!Really enjoyed todays episode on routines. A great reminder on something simple to do- revamping one routine at time - that can pay such big dividends. Thanks!
-
impressedcustomerInsightfulLately I’ve been on a Greg McKeown deep-dive, and I’m finding this podcast to be so relevant to the problems I’ve been facing in my personal life! I like that he doesn’t take what his guests say at face-value and actually asks them questions to think more deeply about their own views. I also love that he challenges listeners in some of the episodes to take action based on what they have just heard. So grateful to have this semi-weekly podcast to help move me in the right direction!

JLovvorn7Episode 280 The Power of SystemsEpisode 280 with Rob Dyrdek on the power of systems was one of the best podcast episodes I have heard! Really liked the part discussing that everyone already has a complex system, so designing one makes things easier.

Dwalke16Routines …this was so goodAs newer parents, have a 4 year old and 3 month old, my wife and I fight for routines. We are often made fun of because how much we push for them. This was encouraging for me to listen to someone else tell me how they pay off. How valuable routines are. Also, the 85% rule helped me during my marathon run this past Saturday! It works!

IamomLife changingIm taking the time to write my 1st review of a podcast ever. Thought the episode with Mo Gawdat was life changing!! I asked my husband to listen to this for me for Valentine’s Day and he did!!! ❤️❤️❤️

kitkat991166Makes You Think About LifeThis podcast really makes you think about everything in your life. His ideas and guests bring new perspectives each episode, and have provided a lot of value to me. I’ve also purchased both of Greg McKeown’s audiobooks (Essentialism and Effortless), and have listened to both multiple times. He clearly cares about the thoughts he’s putting out into the world and I highly recommend.

KCJonesy1Essential ContentI have been reading and listening to Greg McKeown for years now. I’m still a work in progress but I appreciate the shift in mindset as I try to be and do the most essential things. It’s like decluttering my mind, schedule, and life.

mvelasco07A must-listen!This podcast is an absolute gem! Every episode is a treasure trove of insightful content and actionable ideas. No matter the topic, you're bound to take away something valuable from each episode. I can't recommend The Greg McKeown Podcast highly enough!

these guys r my heros!!This podcast is essentialThe Best of What Others Know was fascinating in talking about the expansion reading will do for you. I have always known the world would be a more empathetic place if people read but listening to Greg referencing leverage and reading was something I hadn’t considered. Great listen.

reformingnightowlTruly essential for anyone looking to level upSuch sound principles and in a concise format. Thanks Greg! Inspiring me to work ON my life not just IN my life. Intentionally creating the world we want to live in.
-
BusbeeLess is MoreGreg does a great job helping you understand we are not our best because we focus on too many options instead of the vital few. Less is more and your life is more focused and less stressful.

Inspired at homeWhat would you do with an extra day?Thank you for this episode! As a mother, I am always trying to get my children to weigh the value propositions in how they spend their time. But what the questions from this episode made me realize was that sometimes I am the antagonist to them getting their responsibilities done! From today I will be more mindful in collaborating with them and working together better as mutual trusted advisors. Thank you for the insights!
-
Rdvrks223 - 100% productivity in 80% of the timeAs we hear more and more about four day workweeks, Greg’s discussion here is about the kind of conversations we need to have with others and ourselves to really enable that kind of leap in productivity.

Ffytgvczd216 A shared strength of three Microsoft CEOs with Brad SmithI found the discussion about tech as a tool very interesting. It is a fine line between experiencing and navigating this ever changing medium as a betterment to myself or a hinderance. The brief discussion about AI as a large language model helped me to better understand the complex new technology that is rapidly changing our world.

PextonianCuriosity and asking the right questions…There are few podcasts and fewer teachers who routinely induce me to take action that improves my thinking, my perspective and my habits. Curiosity, essential questions to ask, non-essentials to fire, less but better. Each principle impacts me daily and helps me prioritize where I invest my energy. Thank you Greg and team!
-
STK21Love Greg McKeown’s insightsI learn something valuable and meaningful from every podcast. The topics are relevant, interesting, and so timely to my life. I enjoy Greg’s insights, research, warmth, and genuine interest in providing valuable information to help me apply Essentialism. Thanks, Greg and team - keep up the terrific work!
-
CmgfrenchFantastic ContentGreg is engaging to listen to. He sprinkles in stories to illuminate the topic, which makes it easy to pay attention. As someone with ADHD, I’m easily able to glean information from this podcast. It’s incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!

ModelRocketEpisode 201 hit hardI’ve been reading and listening to Greg for years but today’s episode struck a very strong chord with me. Curiosity. Such an important attribute and one I’ve noticed has been lacking from my workplace. Thank you Greg for the insight and for making the case for curiosity.
-
Asha- The hope!Innovation-Understanding Need stateI learnt today is understanding hidden desire of customers or their need state is important before innovating new idea or product. Not to attach with solution or answer but find the right problem or need of the market.
-
PapaGoose2012The Shape of LifeI’ve been listening to Greg and reading his books for several years. The “Shape of Life” Part 1 and Part 2 episodes stitched together so many themes from Greg’s own work in fresh, new and meaningful ways for me with Bruce Feiler’s work (which I had never heard of before but now I’m going to check out). The variety and quality of Greg’s guests keep me coming back.
-
sbamfordEVERYONE should listen!Greg, you have certainly shifted my mindset and in addition to your books, Essentialism and Effortless, I constantly am learning knew perspectives on the podcast. I am routinely sending these episodes to my team and it has helped us all grow together and we are one of the highest functioning teams in our department. Thank you for elevating my time management, contribution and quality of life. Highly recommended to everyone who has a growth mindset, no matter who you are.
-
Kathleen@KairosMake Meetings EffortlessI thought Greg provided some great foundational info on improving meetings. I love his enthusiasm when he does his own shows (without a guest). I’m looking forward to the new series.
-
Angela MasciulliExcellence in PodcastingI’ve enjoyed this podcast for more than a year and I always learn something new with each episode that makes me reach to another level of ability. I especially appreciate the recent episodes on neurodivergence. I have a neurodivergent family and I appreciate the awareness about the importance of thought process diversity, but it’s especially important for me to be reminded of the gifts that my family members hold because they are not neurotypical. We have so much to learn from them and the neurodivergent community! Listeners can hear how much you carefully craft each episode. Consistently well done!
-
miltylionThank youYou consistently make me think and help with my building the skills needed to lead myself through life. Keep thinking, searching and sharing. I will keep consuming, asking, implementing and sharing.

Laurenschoon162. The Quiet Person with the AnswerAs the quietest person in most rooms, this episode caught my attention. This was a really thought-provoking episode with several actionable tips towards the end where you talk about approaches leaders can make during meetings to get the quiet people talking. Sending people the information beforehand and allowing them time to prepare was a good one, as being put on the spot can be very stressful. I think it can also help to look at the reason why those quiet people stay quiet. It’s not only that we’re intimidated by the louder voices or feel like we can’t get a word in because the conversation is being dominated by other people. Even when we do get a chance to speak, we still sometimes keep our thoughts to ourselves. I have been in meetings before where I kept my ideas and insights to myself just because no one else had said anything related to them yet. It felt like they were wrong somehow because no one else had thought of it. The fear of being judged, attacked, or humiliated for presenting a bad idea plays a role. This goes along with some of your other episodes, like the one about being misunderstood. And also the interview you did with Jeremy Utley and how he talked about going through 1000 ideas before coming up with one great one. Maybe it could help to start off a meeting with everyone throwing out ideas with the aim of getting to 1000. And help people remember that ideas are just ideas, and even bad ideas can inspire great ones.
-
grapehyGreat showI love listening to your podcast. You always strive to give a clear messageUnderstanding from the perspective of the listener, and the person who down the research. Thanks so much for sharing how to get more out of life and an easy way episode 170. It was really nice.
-
Cheryl McCormickEpisode 169 - Beautifully stated! : How to Fall in Love with the Solution, Not the ProblemUri Levine reminds us that as a leader and entrepeneur, our greatest opportunity (and privilege) is to share ‘know how’ (as opposed to ‘knowledge’) and empower *others* to work a juicy problem, arrive at a creative solution, and celebrate a job well done! Leadership is about others - not the individual ego. Well done! I’m a faithful listener and never miss an episode, but this was a favorite.
-
Sophia OsmondEpisode 161This whole series is so inspiring, but loved this episode specifically. The quote about market strategy that encourages all to show their customers and observe their reactions. JUST ACT! Then pivot. :) My husband & I are 28 years old & entrepreneurial with our businesses but also in the way we are intentionally designing our lives/ our future! This podcast series is refreshing and I listen to it every week to refocus & feed my brain principles & stories that expand my thinking and set me up for success. Thank you, Greg!!
-
NavyvbEpisode 168Another gem! Greg discusses an innovative way to help us declutter our mind. Taking a few minutes to slow down, let our mind flow through writing for just a few minutes. Thanks for the reminder to slow down in order to get faster!

AmazingMommaEpisode 168: Designing a day that really mattersGreg McKeown’s ideas, books, and podcasts have deeply impacted my life. I have both of his books, ‘Essentialism’ and ‘Effortless’, displayed on my fancy bookshelves in my living room because they are one of my most treasured resources of learning how to live my life so I can make my highest contribution. I use many of the ideas and concepts from these books in my everyday life. I am sure this particular episode was meant for me (thanks Greg and podcast team for showing up for me today) 😃 I’ve been practicing quite rigorously for about 5 years now how to hone in on my true priorities and design my day around them. I’m getting good at this but have felt off this last month, many of my days have felt chaotic. Today I had all the things come up and was struggling fiercely! It was lunchtime and I was still stuck on determining what to focus on. Out of the blue my iphone notification popped up on my home screen that Greg had a new podcast today. Lo and behold it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear in that moment. Not to mention the podcast was only 15 mins. Short. Sweet. And to the point!! Thank you! That’s the perfect quick listen for someone who already feels disoriented and behind for the day. Greg teaches an easy and quick 6 min tool in this episode that works wonders! I used it to alchemize my day.. from chaos to feeling purposeful and in alignment with my priorities. My big ‘aha’ was all the things that I thought were so important weren’t the real story and it only took 6 mins to cut through the illusion, get to my truth, and reorient and center my day. Thank you so much!!
-
jhall24678Episode 151I saved this episode to listen to again and again. I shared with my family. I learn so much from this podcast and Mr. McKeown’s personal story. The thought change from hard things happening for me instead of to me takes so much burden off of life. Helps me be curious and look at what I can learn and grow from my experiences.
-
jmvideosHelps Refine What’s Important, Wish There Was an Ad Free VersionGreg McKeown has an uncanny ability to ask questions that help you refine what is important. I do feel like a lot of people would be willing to pay for an ad-free version, to eliminate the nonessential. There seem to be a lot of ads, at least on some episodes.
-
vladsbffEp 163- what will get you thereIt was great to hear about how skills that got you to where you are in your mid 30’s to 40’s often won’t get you beyond that. It’s said that what got you here won’t get you there but these guys articulated it better than I’ve ever heard, which gives me way better food for thought.
-
ras68So many lightbulb momentsGreg has a way of making me look at things in a different way, that results in a rethinking of how I’ve always done things. The perfect show at the perfect time in my life.
