An elaborate ad but also helpful
The podcast covers some interesting/useful subjects for someone who’s starting to learn about pregnancy. However, most of the episode is “explained better in book”- which just makes me feel like I’m being led on a really elaborate, long winded ad.

    No real information
Episode are 5 minutes or less. No real information given. Show was disappointing.

I thought this was really great companion to the book.

    Thankful
I just found out I was pregnant last night and I am so thankful I have found this podcast. This will be my first baby and I am so nervous, excited and all of the emotions in between. My fiancé and I were trying but it happened MUCH quicker than expected. I am soaking up all I can in this podcast and am going to be buying the book as well.

    Book promo/cash grab
This is very disheartening as I follow motherly on social media and previously loved the company, but this is a sad excuse for a pregnancy podcast. I’ve listed to ten episodes hoping they’d get better, but alas. Host talks about her book more than she talks about actual pregnancy. This pod proves to me that motherly is more interested in making money than they are helping expectant mothers. I’d recommend the What To Expect podcast instead as Heidi actually goes in depth on questions and concerns regarding many different facets of pregnancy and childbirth, instead of giving extremely vague bullet points and saying “you can find more info on this in my book!”

    Oof
I was looking for some real information. Instead most of the episode was promoting a book also, it was really hard to continue listening after we were told that pregnancy is 10 months. Which is false. If that were true that would mean that every month would only be 28 days. Which is not true. Simple math. But I guess I can’t expect much. Definitely looking for a different podcast for some information.

    So informative
A great companion to the book, it’s wonderful to hear the author’s supportive voice. Evidence based and much preferred to similar resources I’ve tried. Thank you for this. We mamas needed it!

    Advertisement for her Book
I tried listening to this podcast, but it always seemed like she didn’t want to actually talk about the subject, just kept mentioning “I explain this better in my book! So go buy my book!” The episodes are short, I wish it was more in depth, then I might be more tempted to actually get the book...

    Diana is a gem
Diana is such an incredible host! Jealous of every pregnant mama who’s going to get her comforting voice and inspiration in their ears!
