skastingShad Tuten InterviewAside from making it all about himself Shane misses the entire issue with Shad… he got screwed. USGA A player’s reasonable judgment in making certain types of fact determinations will be accepted even if, after the player has made a stroke, video evidence shows that the player’s judgment might have been wrong, and • Video evidence that shows facts that could not reasonably have been seen with the “naked eye” will be disregarded.

Will, from FloridaGreat guests, great conversationsReally enjoy the podcast. Miss Max, but you can really tell Shane is trying to have guest from all corners of the golf world and showcase the positive things this game has to offer. Personally I’ve been trying to get better content on the APGA and the recent episode was a fantastic insight into some great players and even better people. Highly recommend for podcasts that fit both the golf geek and the general sports fan.

Tom9888A must listen for architecture geeksAwesome discussion!

Birdman3356Love it… butCan’t stand this infatuation with everyone saying “like” all the time. It was hard to listen to Claire (and I really like her!). Shane is much better. I feel his work with professional announcing has helped him tremendously. Love the show, though. Keep up the good work Shane.
-
BrysonsHandsWill miss this duoThe perfect golfers podcast. Max and Shane have helped me more than I thought with my mental outlook on the game. Always pushing great contact, and seem to have a great relationship. I will certainly miss Max’s insight, but I’ll be rooting for him the upcoming year. Keep it up Shane!

Pod luvaAcres and pod adjustmentsI have really enjoyed this podcast and will still listen to it going forward. I just want Max to know he sounded like a spoiled brat. He can do whatever he wants with his life and I wish him the best, but he should have just said he doesn’t have the time to continue. He went on and in about how much of a drain the podcast was and how it was hindering him as a golfer. I had never heard of him before I found this podcast and will probably not follow him after he stops working on this podcast.
-
James2535Awesome podcast (not just golf)I really enjoy this pod. Bacon and Homa are funny and give great insights.
-
GoDuke4458Perfect for Golf fansThis is exactly what I was looking for: an insider look at life on the PGA tour from a pro golfer. Max and the host are hilarious. I love getting to know more about the golfers and the Tour beyond what you see on TV.
-
JBURR9So genuine and awesome!Love listening to you both! I listen to every episode while working from home each week. Great blend of light hearted topics that make me laugh, but also the most genuine two guys. Couldn’t root for both of you more on the course and off! Keep it up!!
-
KdhasaLove listening to Max and ShaneI’m probably not their target audience (I’m old enough to be Max’s Mom) but this podcast is great fun and love the inside the ropes stories from Max. These two guys are so likable. I think Shane is doing a great job on Golf Today too. Love to see a fellow Wildcat doing great things.
-
Almost-Retired MarkAwesome podcast!Started following Max when Joel Dahman (I know his aunt & uncle ... shameless plug!) mentioned him on another podcast. Have not been disappointed at all. You guys bring the “regular guy” outlook to the podcast. Very fun and funny. Look forward to it every week. Keep playing great Max, and on to the US Open Shane!
-
WelovegetagripBest Pod EverThis is literally the greatest thing I’ve ever put into my brain cells. Hilarious and insightful. Shane has the best voice in all of broadcasting. And Max is real and really opens up on success and failure. I look forward to it every week. Anything less than 5 stars just isn’t true.
-
dgp53Too much ShaneMax is terrific. Shane is a little too much gush and talks about himself more than necessary.

ghost of QuanahWinnerLast weeks episode Max talked at length about his love for Riviera and how comfortable he is there. I threw $10 on him to win at +7,000. Thanks for the $700!
-
Bri CampMaxLove listening to your show first heard about you on Russillo. Shane is great also. I have been listening from the start my wife laughs at me watching you play in tournaments and cheering for you like we are friends. Congratulations on your win at Riviera!!! Champ!!!

DakptaloomdThe most positive part of my weekDecided to have a second kid during COVID-19 just for the Steak Walks.
-
13 on 18Critique35 minutes to give an opinion on the Patrick Reed ruling and 35 minutes of repeating yourself, Max, get to the freaking point and stop. Still cannot get through a sentence without the word “like” used more the once. 50 podcast and still not improving.

1mnsportsfanComment about ‘coddling players’Shane & Max, love the show. It’s so cool to hear Max talk unfiltered and just take us through the process of being a pro golfer. My comment is about today’s rules discussion and the ‘coddling of players.’ I think a lot of those comments from casual fans have to do with the ‘play the ball as it lies’ idea. A lot of casual fans/golfers have no idea they can take relief from certain things and in effect punish themselves with a lie they don’t have to hit from. I’m a double-digit handicapper and even I take relief from sprinkler heads because it’s well within the rules. I think not knowing the rules leads some to be bitter about pros getting preferred lies at times.

LineChange2020Steak Walk and FlightsListening to good buddies talk golf, sports, and life without alcohol involved turned into a pretty good idea. Bacon leads with the questions, sometimes a little soft, but solid and entertaining. Homa provides the insider insight and is quite thoughtful about more than just gold. In fact his recent self-development work has revealed someone learning and growing as a human in real time. Good job Max. I think he has a platform to be a little more raw and honest, think Kisner- “ya they pay a lot of money for 20th place”, or Dahmen when he guest hosted and quipped about not gonna win so “let’s go make some money” . One of my favorite golf podcasts; 2 guys enjoying what they do, and working to keep us entertained without being snobby, know it all’s, or whiny.

Mitch0621SundayCan we get Max and Joel Damon on together? Shane you softball your buddy. Ask him some tough questions. It seems like Max would answer. I think he owns up . Except when you say “golf is hard”Dude we all play if we listen WE KNOW. I’d be interested to know your take always for the next Saturday lead you sleep on. Nobody blames you. Kim went -8 and CantlY -11. That’s a tough ask for any pro. You were 12 and 15 shots off that. Don’t tell us you were not happy with only 4 swings. Anyway keep going guys. Shane ....you are soft man.

BaseballfirstMy Go To Pod!I play golf Monday, Wednesday & Friday, ride my bike on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday and this pod is part of my bike rides. I find myself laughing out loud as I ride and yelling out answers to important questions that are asked on the pod. I still think there are 3,000 Sizzlers. Keep the content coming boys!

Troy BagginsThe Best of BothSometimes, media executives dream up combinations in a board room where they hope X talking head and Y athlete can create a great content series. Sometimes they can bring those personalities together, and sometimes they can even produce a good show. Shane and Max are a media executive’s dream. Good on their own. Even better together. Shane brings phenomenal skill to running the show, and Max is as insightful of a player as you’ve ever heard break down their own game. I couldn’t imagine a better duo. Love the show, and kudos to the folks at iHeart for making this happen.
-
BemoreBoston NotLAStagnantShane’s a bit boring with his excitement of everything. Max is cool but needs to play better and get out of California and Zona. No top players hang their hat on the west coast.
-
TonyPaulJohnsonSo goodThese guys are so good
-
MyherobobhopeGreat podcastShane is a great at digging into to questions and keeping the conversation moving. Max has a great outlook on his profession and it’s fun to listen to him talk about his job (which he clearly loves) as a job. He has good insight into professional golf, and is open and honest about his experiences. I’m always rooting for him on the course now!
-
TeeneyBWhat about the female listeners ?Thanks for the great podcast. As one of your few female listeners, any chance to get the Tee shirts in women’s fit? Thanks!
-
Touchdown TyShane & Max are awesome! This is by far my favorite podcast, Shane and max go above and beyond almost every episode by keeping it light but also having many serious golf talks that I wish I could have with my friends. I don’t have many golf friends that compete on my same level, so hearing max and Shane talk about golf is like having two extra friends.
-
Jake50010Great podcastGreat podcast for golf fans, sports fans, or just fans! Shane and max are a great duo with unique and interesting perspectives.
-
Great SONOS SYSTEMGolf insightsI’m new to the “Get a Grip”. It is so refreshing to listen to guys that play the game at the Pro level. Love the comments in Bryson and what needs to be done to courses to counter the Distance question!! Great Stuff!
-
DaveMcMacGreat pod castFun to get their insights on golf and sports. Thanks guys
-
Rickm3Great podcastBoth Max and Shane are great. They don’t take themselves too serious and have fun with it. Highly recommended if you are a golf fan.
-
PCnashStick to golfLove the podcast! Really like hearing Max’s take on how a golf course was playing after a tourney and Shane does a great job with questions that lead to great dialogue. Would without a doubt be a 5 star review of not for a long diversion recently on social / political issues. Not why I tune in to any sports podcast. Far from the only sports talk / podcast to do that, but I just want something I can listen to without having to think about any of that garbage.
-
Gc12234Best Golf Show Out ThereOn no other podcast can you hear one of the world top players breakdown what it’s like behind the scene on the PGA tour. Max and Shane don’t shy away from the big stories in golf and Max comes in with such enthusiasm to bring his passion for golf to the everyday fan. The dulcet tones of Shane’s voice don’t hurt a bit and they’re always good for a laugh too. Don’t like golf? Come for the NBA talk or for the deep dives on snacks, dogs and everything else in life.

gjtfjuuNew fanRecently discovered this podcast and I am in the process of going back and listening to all the older casts. It is enjoyable to listen to 2 friends who truly love golf talk about the best game in the world. Max is a funny guy and Shane is an excellent broadcaster. Who knew I would have a new favorite golfer to root for on tour.
-
