Tibetan Studies and the Social Sciences - Video

On February 6-7, 2009, the Columbia University Libraries hosted a hands-on workshop entitled "Tibet and the Social Sciences: Data, Tools, Maps and Archives."

The workshop explored library resources in New York City, and discussed models for research in Sociology, Economics, and Anthropology, as well as GIS (geographic information systems) applications. Speakers included Geoff Childs, Andrew Fischer, Karl Ryavec, Tsering Wangyal Shawa, Emily T. Yeh. Also, Robert Barnett and Gray Tuttle of Columbia University.
