hajdukejim loves to hear himself talk.i'll try about any skate-pod. i'd like to hear more stories from jim's generation but his "interviewing" style is really bad. too much interrupting and self-congratulation. i'd love for someone else to make an oral history of early to mid 80's skateboarding, without talking over the guest.

DmerlieGood/not greatChecked out the Glen Stallings interview. Really interesting discussion but way too much talking over each other. Difficult to listen to.

polyphiloAwesomenessJim offers a perspective on skateboarding that is refreshing because it is such a rare and in some ways lost view. I think modern skateboarding had lost some of what made it great. Authenticity, truth to self, and general unselfconscious fun were the forms of rebellion that have given way to posturing for social media. Jim is a pioneer once again as some of those values start to return to skateboarding. Thanks Jim.

Johnnypea43Seriously?This could be used as a study for how not to conduct and produce an interview. As a 50 y.o. skateboarder, of nearly 40 years myself, I was excited to see who he’d get on the podcast and looked forward to hearing about the people in their own words… when the guests ever got the chance to talk. Jim is so self absorbed that he is constantly interrupting the guests to tell the listener and guest about his own thoughts and resume of achievements, that the guests are the ones that have to wait for him to finish talking, for their chance to speak. All that, on top of the host’s mic level being perpetually spiked in the red while the guest’s barely register as a whisper, makes this unlistenable. I thought it was just the first episode, but the other 3 I tried listening to were no different. I couldn’t even get through LANCE’S interview, which is sad. A good interviewer does not try to relate themselves into every story. This is objective truth from comm 101. It seems like he started this podcast because no one has invited him on theirs. The two stars are both for finding people willing to come on this podcast.

46bmcDisappointingThe host comes across as an egomaniac who is not interested in listening to his own guests.
