A breath of fresh and grace-filled air into some complicated theological stuff. I loved season one. I’m in the middle of season two which is a gentle peek into some real people’s struggles with faith. Debi is kind and loving with these Interviews. So good. I want to take notes on so much of this so I can remember. Great podcast.

I hope that another season is not far off. Excellent guests as always, and Debbie along with Dan do a great job of wrapping things up with their final thoughts. I found 1517 a few years ago through a recommendation for the Thinking Fellows podcast, and from there I have gone through almost all of the podcasts on this network and backlogging through them to get all of the wonderful content that they have put out. I graduated from a Lutheran institution a few years ago and was a bit burnt out on my faith, but I can honestly say that these podcasts have been the main reason why my faith has been revitalized and has become even stronger these past few years. I have found myself being reintroduced to topics I learned in my schooling as well as hearing new views and opinions about Lutheranism as well as Christianity in general, which has been super helpful in expanding my view on my faith and how I approach my faith in a practical way. They have a wide range of topics that are covered as well as a good variety that allows you to find something good to listen to no matter your background or knowledge base in theology. Definitely do yourself a favor and listen to some of the other podcasts on this network if you haven’t yet.

Just blessed to have heard this podcast!!! I listened to the first podcast twice... one can miss so much and not realize it. My introspective take away(s) is that when the creed is read it is a confession of not just “I” but, “We”. Hence, we are all sharing in this proclamation from scripture to be true and consoling one to another each Sunday that “THIS” is why we are here each Sunday!!! Outstanding podcast... thank you so much!!!

Listened to all 12 episodes while on a road trip this week. Thank you for bringing us the simplicity of the gospel, that it really is all about Jesus, in such a fun and easy to listen to podcast.

Food for the soul. This podcast is for Christians who go to church and walk out feeling like there’s something missing. Well, this is it. This is what you’re missing. Listen to each episode and know the pressure is off, and there is hope. A refreshing perspective letting all of us know we can stop trying to be relevant, because our faith already is.

Great show! Informative and funny. I learned quite a bit about the Apostle’s Creed. I loved the format, breaking it up into 12 parts, studying one line of the creed on each show. Wonderful guest speakers too!

I was going to wait until I had listened to all of the episodes to write a review, but I just couldn’t. This podcast is just what the airwaves need, and Debi and Dan were just the ones to do it. Fantastic music, well-produced, Gospel-soaked. My soul is rejoicing. I am sharing this for sure.
