The Supergroup

36

HI! Tawny Newsome and Alex Kliner have long straddled the worlds of comedy and music, but now they’re combining their two passions, and bringing their talented friends along for the ride! On each episode of The Supergroup, Tawny & Alex invite a comedian and musician to write and record an original song with them over the course of a week. You’ll hear every step of the process, from writing and re-writing to recording and mixing. The podcast is funny but the songs are legit. Get ready for...the Supergroup!

    Love this show.
I have never been a musician myself, just missing that thing... but all my life have hung out with them. I have always loved this part. Experiencing the origin and creation of a song, is such a special experience. I became sick and lost my sight, so can’t hang out with the bands like I used to, so this has become something really special to me.

    Worth the listen
If you are into the creative process of a song this is your jam (hold the peanut butter) sandwich. The plus is listening to it completed at the end of the show. Hope for a season 2.

    That was fun!
Just listened to the first episode. Thanks for letting me into your creative process while keeping me laughing and inspired. I love how you all were mutually supportive, while also being able to poke fun at each other and laugh at yourselves. The build up to the final song was exciting and paid off well. I now consider PFT to be a poor man’s Steve Perry. Looking forward to the next episode.
