Freeze All Motor Functions: Westworld

1,344

Freeze All Motor Functions is a Westworld podcast that doesn’t sound like anything to me and doesn't take itself too seriously. Each week when Westworld is in season, we drop a podcast on Monday wherein we recap and analyze the most recent episode. Hosted by @JaredBorislow, New York Times Bestselling Author @WRBolen, and @serena_therese.

Jared and Ross are so high-minded
Jared and Ross are so high-minded, they did not notice there was less nudity in Season 4 than Season 1. In Season Maive walked around naked, Teddy sat naked in a chair, Dolores was naked in a chair, even Dolores’ father was naked in a chair, there was quick nudity and sex where men had sex with women, Charlotte came to the door naked and she had a naked guy tied up in her room. There was much less nudity in Season 4, and being a proper person, that made me happy kinda, but I missed seeing the artistic beauty of the nude human form.

    Best in the West
I’ve been an avid listener of Ross, Jared, and Serena for 3 years now. They all have insightful takes and each have their own analytical styles. Joined together this makes for one of the best and most helpful companion podcasts to HBO’s West World there is. Best in the West and better than the rest!

    ITS TIME TO FREEZE
Three very unique minds tackling one very unique show. Can this show get back to the greatness of season 1?! Have to watch and listen to find out!
  • RED757
One of my favorite companion podcasts out there! (pls bring back the riding crop)
Bolen Media may be famous for Oysters, Clams and Cockles, the former #1 game of thrones podcast but FAMF might be even better. The perfect harmony of J-Bone’s witty but often clever humor, Serena’s extensive insight and Ross’s nonchalantness to it all make this show an absolute must listen for Westworld and podcast fans alike!

Funny/very informative podcast for an incredibly complex show
This crew is hilarious and does an excellent job of breaking down this show. 11/10 stars

    Westworld = Bestworld
So many good things to say about this podcast! Deep deep insight on all of the small details, which makes my watching of the next weeks show much more meaningful!! Blow the FAMF horn for me guys!!!

The only companion pod you’ll need for this show
FAMF 📢 Jared, Ross, and Serena bring an electric breakdown each week that breaks down each episode scene by scene, dissecting each characters arc, and making this show somehow make sense for even the everyday plebe’s like me. The best part about this show (imo) is that even when the show is at its best they aren’t afraid to point out the issues. Why? Because good shows only tell you what you want to hear but a great show will be honest with the listener. From wild song parodies and jokes to riding crops and cowboy hats (IYKYK) Freeze All Motor Functions is hands down the best Westworld podcast out there.

    We Back, FAMF!
So glad this show is back! And these three mix just the right amount of humor in with their analysis of a ridiculously confusing show. I can’t watch without the weekly pod.

This is the best companion podcast if you're into humorous, entertaining, but in depth and helpful analysis of the show. I love the crackpot theories.

Solid solid solid. I’m usually confused by these episodes and these people just confuse me more but at least we are confused together. 5 stars

    Happy Hour for Robots
A show like this needs a good decompression that doesn’t take itself so seriously, unpacks the confusion the show runners sling weekly, and help put the pieces all back together, all with the levity of a after show drink or smoke with your buddies.

A podcast that doesn’t look like anything to me.
-it’s objective -speculations on a T.V Series that’s all about navigating through the maze which is Westworld. Why should you listen to Freeze All Motor Functions? Well, let me start off with a quote by Bernard- “If you outgrow this place, outgrow us, what will become of you?” Could you decipher this very quote given by Bernard? Exactly, I couldn’t either, this T.V series takes you into a loop, literally and figuratively. The FAMF pod Holds on to your hand for dear life because baby our brains might be fungible in this crazy world (Westworld or real life, I really don’t know at this point). Anyways, I love the pod, they’re very analytical about dissecting each episode. And it helps bring more insight to what might come in future episodes. Some say they work for Westworld, who really know when you question the nature of your reality.

This show is the equal of Ross’s tightly shaved balls groomed by none other than Manscaped. The edges of his scrot are as crisp as his Felix Gray sunglasses. This pod will make you feel both satisfied and fulfilled.

Steamy passion and respect for the fellow man
Between the audible makeout sessions and the inaudible foot touching, Ross and Jared are on the prowl to make some sense of the mind bending show Westworld. While they try their best, former intern Serena is able to tie timelines together and make you better understand what is happening and what is to come. I would not have been able to make it through season one without this show. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND….
  • DaKang5
I’d give it 10 stars if I could!
FAMF is a 10 star podcast! This is a podcast I look forward to every year. Without this podcast I would be completely lost in watching every Westworld episode. FAMF has made it more enjoyable to watch the series and I could not recommend this podcast enough. Jared, Ross and Serena are the best!
  • deejack47
    Great podcast!
Listen to this every week. Love hearing about everyone’s theories and being able to break down the episode with the hosts. Makes watching Westworld so much more enjoyable!

    THE #1 Westworld Pod
Watching Westworld with out this pod is like taking a road trip by yourself without a cell phone. Sure, you might get there eventually but your going to be confused, get lost and wouldn’t you rather have J Bone along to make some jokes? Serena had incredible insight, and Ross gives a perspective of the average viewer. Couldn’t recommend it more! FAMMMFFFFFFFF

Something to hold your hand and stimulate your mind
Despite the show’s effort to ensure the contrary, famf guides you through the maze that is this westworld to a deeper knowledge of the themes and ideas portrayed.

So glad you all are back for season 4. This podcast kept me watching this show through some terrible episodes in the past. Always looking forward to new content from FAMF. Most entertaining West World podcast out there.

    Essential Companion Podcast!
FA FAMF!! Season 1 was possibly my favorite season of TV, and since then each season has added increasing complexity to the point I don’t even know if the writers can keep up with it! FAMF has become and essential and enjoyable follow up for each new episode. Came for connecting the plot points, stayed for the crackpot theories!

    Perfect companion pod
So funny and helps explain + talk through one of the more complex and thought provoking shows I’ve ever watched. I came to FAMF from OCC and recommend it to anyone who watches

    FAMF
I started listening to these guys with their game of thrones podcast “oysters clams and cockles” and have not stopped! One of the best tv show podcast let alone westworld podcast.

    Data rules everything around me
JBone and Ross explain a show that is unexplainable. In this series the dynamic duo (now a trio, officially) review a show that critics have called: “what? We’re doing a season four?” Grab a beanbag chair or bar height wooden stool and listen in for the only Westworld podcast not fully owned and operated by Vanity Fair. Hey Ross - bring back the DREAM shirts???
  • scimpi
What helps me through the season
I love Westworld, but it requires 11 PHDs to follow accurately. Ross, Serena, and J-Bone might not know everything, but they certainly know more than the casual viewer. Give the show a listen to help clear out the cobwebs and tune yourself into the subtleties of Westworld.
  • B!shop77
    Essential Listening
This podcast will confuse you more than the show, but then somehow manages to make everything make sense. I find myself talking out loud to the hosts as they switch from discussing the technical aspects of how a scene was shot to a crackpot theory about a wolf from season 1 in a matter of minutes. Must listen for anyone looking for more Westworld content.
  • Thupple
Such an excellent and enjoyable podcast
This is a refreshing podcast in that it is delightfully, stupidly, humorous, yet beneath the stupidity there is actual insight and analysis that you can depend on to enhance the experience of puzzling out this crazy show. In Season 3, my love for this podcast is the only thing that kept me watching the show, as -oddly- the podcast continued to be great even when the show itself was not. Highly recommended.

If you watch Westworld then you need this podcast
Ross and Jared break down each episode to help all of us who are utterly confused by Westworld come to an understanding of what is actually happening. Without this podcast my small mind would not be able to comprehend what i just saw on Westworld.

Excellent Podcast for some fun insight and review. Love the interactions between the hosts but honestly Jared doesn’t sound like anything to me.

    FAMF
*FAMF FA FA FAMF* This is a super easy to digest Westworld podcast. It gets into the cerebral details without leaving you with more questions. Ross, Jared, and Serena are so much fun and the pod is amazing.

    Best, Most Relatable Westworld Content
You know how after every episode of Westworld you’re like “…what?” Well THEM TOO!!! Then they sit and figure it out and make you go “OHHHHHHH” right along with them! Very comprehensive, and most of all, FUN content to go along with one of my favorite shows on HBO! We all know Westworld is a wild ride, so take that ride with the FAMF crew for season 4. And if you haven’t already been on this runaway train, go back and listen to the season 2 and season 1 rewatch coverage of this show too! Best Westworld show on the whole internet, not even exaggerating.
  • Matt Norden
FAMF is my favorite part about Westworld
I like Westworld. I loved Season 1, Season 2 was fun, and Season 3 had its moments. If you like or love the show, you will adore FAMF. It’s funny, helps with my understanding of the show, and makes me think about fun show theories that may or may not happen each season. If you’re not sold already, here’s a breakdown of the show: Jared makes sure that the listeners do not miss anything important, and Ross adds color commentary that adds to both the good scenes and the scenes in the show that are more silly (to put it kindly). We also love that no-longer-an-intern Serena is full time with the show now!
  • Vicious Ape
    A co-host for every viewer
Let’s face it, this show is confusing. Lots of timelines, deaths/host swaps, and unknown plot directions to follow. This podcast is a great supplement to the show to digest what you just watched. Ross is for an average WW viewer. Completely lost 90% of the time on what’s happening, and holding out hope this show will be awesome. Jared is for a dedicated WW fan. Enjoys being able to put out WW content, has interesting and even sometimes believable crackpot theories. Serena is for the deep thinker of all things WW. You can tell from her promotion from photoshop intern to full on co-host, Serena is a great contributor. She puts a lot of time and effort into understanding not only what they are showing on the screen, but also what they AREN’T showing, and what it all means. 📢FAMF 📢

The best westworld pod in the game.
Easily the best and most fun westworld pod out there. Jared does a fantastic job of breaking down the episodes while Serena not only keeps him on track but helps with the important through lines. While these two alone would make a stand out show it’s Ross’ cynicism and realistic outlook that cements it as the best. Ross keeps both Jared and Serena expectations of the show in line and helps the average listener better understand some of the more advanced theories.
  • Nicholas Bridle
    Back for season 4!
I have been a listener since the beginning. A crossover listener from the Bolen Media podcast OCC (iykyk) This is consistently one of the only podcast I listen too that gets me excited to dig deeper into theories and themes explored in the show. Good recaps, deep dives, and hot takes. All of the hosts are knowledgeable and entertaining. Give it a go.
