    WHY? No POLITICAL REWIND??
Georgia P B is canceling a voice that has informed with integrity! We (GPB) have taken the vitality out of reporting the political status of Georgia politics. I and thousands of GPB supporters will miss Political Rewind beyond what words can say. I understand the motivation and deplore what I perceive to be a lack of political backbone at GPB. I will express my dismay here and with my diminishing donations. We miss you Bill!

    🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
What??? No “Political Rewind”??? I can’t believe that I will have to survive the upcoming challenges in the world of politics without Bill and his guests providing me with insightful and reliable discussion of the issues. Can’t believe that PBS had made such a blunder!

    RIP Poli Rewind
Loved this show. Such an intuitive source of news in an age where unbiased reporting is so hard to find. Hate that GPB let this happen. I wish Bill and all of the other cast members who frequented the show so much continued success.

    I will miss this program!
I found this show to consistently be the most informative hour in my day! Bill Nigut is an amazing host and I wish him continued success! On a personal note, I question GPB’s decision.

    Political Rewind sets the standard
Bill Nigut and Political Rewind set the standard for how political discussions should take place. It has always been intelligent and even handed. Apparently Bill’s refusal to allow conspiracy theorists and purveyors of disinformation on the show was its undoing. GA’s GOP wouldn’t allow the show to continue.

It’s a sad sad sad day to lose a view from many angles

    Bill is terrific
Heart broken that this show has been cancelled. The discourse is thoughtful, balanced and civil. Looking forward to following Mr Nigut to his next show.

Tuned in on news of cancellation- it hasn’t improved
Good riddance. This show devolved into an MSNBC opinion show on public radio. This is confirmed by the caterwauling from the liberal academics and journos that make the daily panels upon the news.

    Podcast cancellation
I do not always agree with the opinions of Bill and his various guests on the panel, but Political Rewind has been a daily weekday listen for me to hear what is going on in Georgia politics. I am sorry that the podcast has been cancelled. It has been a very informative show and the interaction with Bill and the panel guests has been interesting and respectful.

    Great coverage
For almost 2 years, I’ve been listening daily for interesting and informative analysis in Georgia politics and beyond. I worried about the content after the 2022 mid-terms were over but have listened to 3 fascinating discussions not only on proposed changes to elections related to runoff but also help to Ukraine.

Good content but poor production quality
The guests are well-informed, but Mr.Nigut seems to be a bit hokey and is probably past his prime. The sound quality is quite bad—voices are muffled with variable volumes for different guests, and there is often background ambient noise that interferes with the pod. I understand this is a low-budget GPB operation, but it seems like they don’t even try. Georgia politics deserves a better production. There are very inexpensive technological fixes that would improve the quality substantially.

Real American, like it should be
Informed, intelligent, insightful without bluster or double-speak. And a refuge for those who seek that disappearing quality that has always been a hallmark of American liberty: good humored banter and free flowing conversation undistorted by anxiety or fear. Top notch.

    Interesting Informative Unbiased
The title says it all: interesting, informative, and unbiased. I am truly a devotee of Political Rewind.

    Worth a listen every day!
Bill and the panels he and his team assembled are a joy to listen to, in addition to being very educational. Always well informed, well researched, and on point. Thanks Bill!

    Lack of objectivity
The host and most guests are sold out biased for Democrats and opposed to anything or anyone Republican.

    I’m Back
I unsubscribed to this pod in 2020. I felt that the politicians and political consultants on the show just repeated the same old talking points and the listener learned nothing. I recently returned because the show now features guests from academia as well as journalists and experts on various topics. Much more informative!

    Facebook
In my experience Facebook is the sole reason that have conditioned people to refuse vaccine. Most of the public doesn’t even know how vaccines work . When told that won’t listen because they read on Facebook . Republican get support donations and get elected by denying science or expertise . Brian Kemp isn’t gonna let Washington tell him because ga know what’s good for ga . Sound familiar ?

    Good overall
I know it’s hard to find intelligent Republicans, but the current Republican guest on your show are excruciating to listen to. Could you consider just not inviting politicians?

Staying in the Know about all things Georgia
Faithful listener. Love the balanced mix of views. This amazing daily podcast is my go to for staying in the know about all things Georgia. Wish the daily subject titles were available like they were a few weeks ago. Something changed and I don’t like seeing just a date in the Title. Please fix this so we know what the daily topic is.

Nothing is more important than being informed!
I moved to the ATL-metro area two years ago, and as soon as my tires hit the GA blacktop I wanted to find a way to stay informed, from a balanced medium, about the state of affairs in my new home. POLITICAL REWIND is exactly that. Thank you to the host, rotating panelists, and Techs behind-the-mics, for giving us Georgians a respectful, productive, and introspective voice to listen to!

    Great Show
I’m a former Georgian. I wish South Carolina had a quality sow like this. I love the respectful tone and the quality of the quests. I don’t always agree with some but I do like the respect they show. Great job to you Bill and all your guests.

    Excellent Podcast
I enjoy the wide range of topics covered on the show. My only feedback is a preference for coverage without spin from political consultants. Facts and what they may or may not mean is much needed, especially when navigating around the pandemic.

    Death spiral
I’ve been a listener for years and donated to GPB. The show usually has a decent balance of political figures that mesh well, but since Kemp’s election and the buildup to Trump’s re-election campaign, the show is much more focused on the blame game and bashing anyone that is male or conservative. The liberal left and their sympathizers are taking over the show one day at a time. Sadly, host Bill Nigut is leading the charge by encouraging panelists to point fingers at state and national leaders while chuckling in the background. I don’t listen as often as I used to. Political Breakfast is MUCH better, but only has one or two shows a week.

    Definite lefty bias
Lefty bias, as you’d expect from public broadcasting. But, the only game in town and Republicans get a word in occasionally

    Cant take it anymore.
If youre going to let Conservatives come on the show, spout nonsense and lies and leave them unchallenged then I’m not going to listen anymore. The fact that Gingrich Cushman can come on the show and hawk a book about civility and without any sense of hypocrisy, fail to call out Rep. Collins when he said “Dems love terrorist” is astonishing. I use to love this show but if I wanted to hear lies I’d watch FoxNews.

    How the Mighty Have Fallen
4 years ago, I’d have given this show 5 stars without hesitation, but since then I’ve watched Bill Nigut go from being the last truly objective moderator in the media to just another “Orange-Man-Bad”-parroting talking head. Bill frames all of the topics in the same subtly partisan way NPR does, doing so in such a way that liberals can pat themselves on the back for listening to “objective” news, while even a centrist such as myself can hear the bias from a mile away. The discussions around Georgia’s heartbeat bill were the point where Nigut’s bias became so flagrant that I cancelled my monthly donation to the station. They are still generally respectful towards their token conservative guest; however, especially on the abortion issue, you could hear the masked disdain from the host if you have half a brain. I still listen, as the show still does better than anyone else in covering state and local politics, but every time I do, I am reminded of how far the mighty have fallen. I am so disappointed that such a respectful panel discussion show has lowered itself to being the civilized version of a CNN or Fox News panel discussion.

    Balance
By far my favorite politics show, and grateful am able to listen to podcast when I miss live show. One constructive criticism- check sound balance between all speakers? We can hear ever breath of Bill, while soft spoken guests have me turning up and down the volume.

    Informative Source for Georgians
This is one place where you can get true discussion and analysis from both sides of the political spectrum. The show does have occasional hyper-partisan guests, but Bill Nigut mostly keeps them in check (though he is more quick to recognize the hyper Republican partisanship). Regular guest, Greg Bluestein, is a true political journalist. In years of reading and listening to him, I honestly have no idea what his political leanings are. We need more journalists like him in this era of opinion-based reporting.

    Connecting with the state
More than any other show in GPB, Political Rewind is beginning to connect us to our state. Being outside Atlanta, I want and need to know what’s happening in out alpha city, but I also need to know what is happening in the second-tier fall line cities, and the challenges faced by our shrinking rural counties. This show has the potential to draw us all together and that is priceless!

    I am a fan!
I hope Political Rewind returns to Savannah. Our congressional race between Buddy Carter and Lisa Ring should be of interest to Georgia Coastal residents. Bill, Please bring them on your program.

    A Much-Appreciated Perspective
As a native Georgian, I rely upon Bill Nigut and his guests to shed a nuanced and informed perspective on politics at every level--local, regional, and national. Bill has the experience and gravitas to moderate the conversation in a respectful and informative way. A must-listen show for Georgians who want to be in-the-know!
