I am a beginner in German and I have to say that this series taught me SO much! And it was so much fun! That’s probably why I learned as much as I did, because I was thoroughly engaged and entertained by this very silly story. Silly, but it also exposed me to loads of useful vocabulary and grammar. I learned it without the fuss of trying to memorize rules and lists of separate words. I highly recommend this to anyone learning German.

The podcast is very enjoyable. Though it starts out with fairly elementary German and lots of English, by Folge Siebzig there is a lot of German with less and less English. The transition is so gradual you may not even notice. Like other DW podcasts, I'd say this one is for the intermediate or advanced beginner. The story is interesting and designed so that you learn a lot about German culture, without even realizing what is going on. I'd say this podcast is a lot better than Mission Berlin. Enjoy! FYI, you can get the missing episodes from the German text version of the podcast.
