    The best podcast I know!
As a history nerd and a foodie, this is one of my all-time favorite podcasts! Every episode is incredibly educational and entertaining, and instantly transports you in the most wonderful way. The way that Laura crafts each episode is so creative and unique, and her knowledge as well as story-telling skills are superb. This is a wonderful way to learn about food and history that I adore!

What a great idea this pod cast is!
I’m a Foodie, so a name like The Feast would attract me, but your podcast has so much more than recipes! The history and culture lessons are the best. I can’t wait to go to Wisconsin to try some supper clubs and go to the renovated Waldorf Astoria! Thank you Laura!

    Dinner with Georgia O’Keefe
I was lucky to go to Santa Fe in 2019 for my birthday! Visited Ghost Ranch! Enjoy your Podcast because I could picture the ranch and Ms O’Keefe’s home there! The problem with listening to this Podcast is that the narrator Ms Laura Carlton speaks too fast. It was interfering with the pleasure of picturing the description of all being described ! I think even Ms O’Keefe would agree. Savor the words like life should be savored. That is obviously what Ms O’Keefe did in her life.

    Great food podcast
Light but interesting. Wish the episodes were longer, more in-depth. That said, very enjoyable

Dinosaur Dinners, Giant Cheese Wheels, & Vegetarian Victorians
As someone who's studying to be a dietitian, I love talking about food (who doesn't?). I also have a small love for history, so you can only imagine how happy I was to come across this podcast. My favorite episode is the story about the Victorian Dinosaur Dinner (I can't tell you how many times I've listened to that episode). I also like the book recommendations at the end as I'm usually looking for something to read, especially if it has to do with food and the history of it. (I think it's starting to become a bit of an obsession.) I also love Laura's voice. It's calming to listen to after a long day at school or work and I just want to sit and make highlights and go over my notes in my textbooks. A must listen if you love food and history and a good story to tie it all together.

    Insightful Food History
The Feast is one of those podcast that really makes you think as it combines historical storytelling that makes you consider the future of food. Truly enjoyed the episode on Space Gastronomy where they interviewed Sebastion D Marcu who is trying to bring classic food into space.

    Yumm for the ears
Such a great show. So much of culture and history revolves around food - it's great to dive into it!

    Can't wait for season 2!
I loved the first season so much

    I'm hungry
The Feast tackles food the way I wish my Thanksgiving dinners would. Rather than arguing over Trump, Laura Carlson really digs into the weeds of how food and meals have influenced history. It's a fascinating approach to the things we all need to sustain ourselves; food, history, and a good story.

    Very Interesting!
I have enjoyed several of these podcasts and learned so much, and not just about food! Laura does a wonderful job of research and providing all the background and context you need. Thanks so much! And a special thank you for the episode on Boar's Head Dinners and Festivals!

    Very interesting and well researched.
You know how once in a great while on the weekend NPR has some fascinating piece? This is like that, every episode a gem.

    Fascinating food and facts!
Really enjoy this podcast! I certainly wouldn't call myself a history buff but I do love food and the feast combines the two in such an engaging way with great storytelling by the host - listen if you like fascinating food and facts!
