    Thanks for Everything Here
This was my go to podcast for all things Atlanta Braves. I started listening in early 2021 and being able to listen during the World Series was something else. Only Braves podcast I’d want to listen to, can’t wait to check out the new one.

New show is named Hammer Territory
The Battery Power podcast has changed its network and name to “Hammer Territory.” Same hosts and content as the BP show.

    Terrible podcast
These guys keep repeating same things over and over again. Once one guy stops, the other guy starts repeating what the other guy previously said. Don’t waste people’s time if you don’t have meaningful content. Go do something else instead of bringing your tired old bones to do a terrible podcast. Update: good news; it appears the hosts finally listened and stopped doing the podcast after repeating the content every episode. Stay away from this one even if they restart as it is a waste land.

    Was fun while it lasted
Podcast dead what a shame was my favorite….

    Podcast Stopped??
I was used to almost daily content yet the season has started and things have been silent for almost 2 weeks. Any idea why?

    Just ok
This show is just ok. Doesn’t give the best coverage and I’m definitely not a fan of Shawn Coleman’s voice. And the “here’s the latest from Atlanta” catchphrase is pretty annoying imo.

    Simply the best Braves content
Great content and solid analysis. A must follow for hardcore Braves fans

    The place to be.
The hub for my Braves content as well as some solid twitter follows that make Braves games entertaining through the good and the bad. Miss Eric and love the crew. Especially when they back to back podcasts in one night, dedication folks.

    Good but Bland
Been a listener for about 4 years. Most of the podcast hosts are very bland. They try too hard to remain objective at times, it’s like they don’t want to be looked at as fans. Brad Rowland is good, but it can be insufferable hearing him and Scott Coleman go on and on basically saying the same thing week after week. And these guys used to bad mouth Chip Carey for being stale… ironic. ‘The podcast to be named later’ is even worse, these guys sound miserable as their discussing the team, they can put you to sleep. All of these guys are very educated on the modern game, and sometimes are way too out of touch with what it’s like being in a clubhouse or on a team. God forbid Snit tries to work a middle tier reliever into a high leverage spot in a random game in July. These guys will nit pick it for 5 minutes straight. The official Braves radio network and David Obrien’s 755 is Real podcast are both miles better.

    Best braves podcast available
These guys know what they’re talking about and don’t just have outlandish takes that braves twitter usually has. They use statistics that actually matter (WRC+ and ops+ as an example) and use them to make logical arguments and that has legitimately made me a more knowledgeable fan. Also the banter between Scott Coleman and brad Rowland is one of the reasons the Sunday show is always a good listen. They all mesh with each other very well and like I said there’s not a better braves podcast on the market.

    Great podcast Series
Best Braves podcasts with different types of episodes. The weekly Sunday show and PTBNL are my favorite.
  • Skitterydittery
Good show; but inconsistent timing on shows/
I love the show; but it is posted/broadcasted irregularly. As a result, I get my Braves fix from another podcast. Why the inconsistency?

    Only One Host I’d Avoid
I’ve been listening to the pod going back to Brad and Carlos talking chop in 2017. I really enjoy two of the three shows (the main one with Brad and Scott and PNTBL with Kris and Steven), but I just can’t listen to the Daily Hammer pod — tough to take Shawn seriously with that voice and ridiculous accent.

Love these shows and listen every week.

    Great podcast
I’ve loved the Braves since the 90s watching the games with my Dad. The podcasts are very informative and interesting to me. When the Braves have had a bad week they always say something that encourages me and makes me feel better. I love listening to them discuss the Braves success also! Their perspectives are insightful. Great content on Battery Power for anyone who loves the Braves!

    A very good Podcast
You can hear the passion and knowledge in every episode. Highly recommend
  • Ben in Atlanta
    Good info
But some more attentive editing would be helpful.
  • Not a Brad Fan
    Disappointing lineup preview
It’s very obvious that these guys especially Brad have not watched or even followed Spring Training. Apparently busy with basketball. Why even do the podcast if you are just repeating last year’s information. Some guys are working hard and likely going to make the team get no mention. Not helpful to hear uninformed opinion.

Too many different shows on same feed
I religiously listen to the weekly Sunday show with Brad Rowland and Scott Coleman, and it can be annoying to have several other unrelated shows (other than the fact they’re about Braves baseball) hosted by other Battery Power people cluttered all over the feed. I’ve tried to listen to the others, and they’re just nowhere as good as the usual Sunday show. It is annoying to try to hunt through the long list of other random show episodes just to find the right one. I’d gladly give the Sunday show 5 stars, but not until they give the other shows their own separate feed.

Overall Great Braves Coverage, Some Shows Better Than Others
Overall, the Battery Power Podcast feed does a great job covering all things Braves and I highly recommend it to any die hard Braves fan. However, there are multiple shows and some are better than others in my opinion. The best show in my opinion is the flagship show with Brad and Scott that drops every Sunday evening during the season. I’ve been listening to them for years back when the Braves were one of the worst teams in baseball in 2015-2016. Brad is an experienced podcast host (also host of Locked on Hawks which I also highly recommend to any Atlanta Hawks fans) and always does a great job organizing the show, presenting interesting data that really tells the story (not just “I think this or that” with no data to support his opinions) and keeping things moving. Scott does a good job at sharing his takes in a focused but still interesting manner. I miss Eric being a regular on the show, but I wish him the best in his new role at Tomahawk Take. If you only have time to/care to listen to one Braves podcast a week, I recommend you listen to theirs. The Podcast to be Named Later (PTBNL), their newest show, is also really good. While Brad and Scott make sure to cover all the news and notes from the past week, Kris and Stephen tend to do deeper dives on individual topics. I really enjoy Stephen’s takes, I find myself agreeing with him more than anyone else on the podcast feed. He’s very logical and data-driven which I appreciate. I agree with another reviewer though that both Kris and Stephen have more monotoned voices so it can get a little boring listening to them. Maybe getting a third host with more energy/engaging style would be a good thing to liven up the energy a bit. But I still really enjoy their podcast and recommend it as well. The third show - The Daily Hammer, I can’t say I strongly recommend. The host’s style is much more radio like with lots of repetitive phrases he says every show and is just not my cup of tea. I’ve heard him be factually wrong on things multiple times which is irritating to listen to especially when there’s no one else on the show to correct him. I almost always skip this one and wait until the flagship show or PTBNL as anything important talked about in the Daily Hammer will be discussed in a much more interesting way on the other two shows. Last, not sure if they’re still doing it since Eric left, but in the past at least there’s the Road in Atlanta podcast. I didn’t listen to them much especially in recent years when the farm system didn’t have nearly as many players to watch, but the ones I did listen to I thought they were solid. Definitely the podcast to listen to if you want to get up to speed on what’s going on in the Braves minor league affiliates and who to watch out for in the system. So overall, not all shows are 5/5 great in my opinion, but the quality of the flagship show and PTBNL still gives this podcast feed a 5/5 rating in my book.

    Fantastic Braves Podcast
Best Braves podcast out there (especially following the lamentable exit of Atlanta Baseball Talk). Brad and Scott in particular are incredibly knowledgeable, good talkers, and offer a great balance of insight and fun. Very weird reading the other reviews that obsess over the show’s allegedly political bent, which, apart from not automatically licking the boots of billionaire owners, is a non-factor in the show. Keep up the good work!
  • MTNZ63
    Not very good
There are much better options than this podcast. Scott Coleman and Kris Willis are too left wing political on their social media and that turns me off. Stick to sports.

    Great Podcast
I really love this podcast and will continue to follow moving forward. My only request is to adjust the volume during recording. I have to turn it up so incredibly loud to get a good volume and I’m not deaf. I’m not sure if this is a production thing that could be fixed?

    Great mix of Braves content
I really enjoy the Battery Power podcasts. The only thing I would change is the excessive use of the phrase “at the end of the day,” which is said so frequently that it becomes distracting. Eric, in particular, must use it 10 times per podcast, sometimes in odd contexts. It’s staggering. Nevertheless, I love the Sunday night week in review, which provides great recaps and sets the table well for the week to come. And anyone who keeps tabs on the farm system will enjoy the Road to Atlanta—I know I’ve learned a lot. The newest, podcast definitely has promise, though I think some of the discussion topics could benefit from a sharper, more focused frame (as opposed to just introducing them with something like “What did you think of the Michael Harris extension?”). At the end of the day, this is a great mix of content for Braves fans :).

    Need to make some changes
For the most part I enjoy the information and analysis is most of the different podcasts. The main podcast is great with a few exceptions. I think a little bit less agreement and more differing opinions and arguments would be more entertaining. Also I think the words “like” and “etc.” are used approximately 700 times per episode. My main complain is with the podcast to be named later. Those 2 guys have to be the most boring personalities on the whole platform. You cannot pair these guys together. Stephen Tolbert is by far the worst. Nothing against him as a person or Braves fan/analyst but he absolutely lulls me to sleep. Has zero inflection or excitement in his voice and sounds like he is either asleep, hungover, or extremely agree. He just isn’t cut out for the mic.

    Great resource for Braves fanatics
A terrific resource for Braves fans, particularly the weekly one which I listen to most weeks. I do think it’s time to split the podcast into separate feeds—four shows (including one that’s daily) is overkill for all but the most fanatical of fans. My favorite is definitely the flagship, the best established and with the best chemistry. Construtive criticism: A couple of hosts/panelists rely on clichéd phrases to a distracting extent, most irritatingly with the massively overused nothingburger phrase “at the end of the day.” (Also “make no mistake” and “it is what it is.)
  • Nerdboxer
    Too much
The main podcast is great, but now this feed is cluttered, and honestly, redundant. I get Road To Atlanta being a show, but Daily Hammer and PTBNL are just overkill. Everytime I open my podcast app, I have to delete these. I love the Braves but I don’t need 10 hours of podcast content a week on them. Could you at least split them into their own feeds?

    For all Braves fans
This is the one podcast that my teenage son and I agree on! My absolute favorite is the Daily Hammer and the host Shawn Coleman - but please someone get that man a tissue or a trip to the ENT.

    Voices matter
I used to listen to this show religiously. Love Brad. I think now they're trying to put out too much content. The Daily Hammer is pretty much a waste of time. Really wish they'd stick with Brad as the host as all the other guys - especially Sean Coleman - just don't have good voices. Yes, it matters. Doesn't matter what you're saying if you have an annoying voice I'm not going to listen to your podcast.

    Great info, room for improvement
Great content and good info on the Braves and their farm system updates. The guys that record really need to make sure they’re using good pro audio and know how to speak properly into a mic. The last episode about Grissom and what to do about Ozuna was pretty maddening. One guy sounded great while the other was likely speaking into an apple headphone mic on the cord and voice was going in and out and then too close and then over powering the mic with his voice. It’s so distracting and almost makes it impossible to listen to. Check out the Cover3 podcast to see their setup and a good quality broadcast for an example. Thanks again for all the work that goes into this and the good updates each day. And yes, like the last guy said, Coleman needs to figure out his sinuses or a way to tweak for his voice to be a suitable broadcast sound.

    Best Braves Podcast Around
I started listening to this podcast in 2017 and haven’t stopped. On the main podcast, some combination of Brad, Scott and Eric will bring you a funny, knowledgeable, and opinion-packed hour or so of Braves Baseball talk every week. The hosts have a good dynamic, a good rapport, and they know they’re stuff. The podcast network also has the Road to Atlanta podcast, if you want to know what’s up in the minors as well as the Daily Hammer, which gives daily updates about the Braves. A great podcast. A+++

Shawn Coleman: End the filler words
Shawn Coleman’s Daily Hammer is great on content but he overuses filler words “obviously” and “certainly”. It is almost unlistenable at times. He could eliminate 90+% of the filler words and not change the meaning whatsoever. Listen to a recording and think about your choice of words. Otherwise a great podcast!

    Best Braves podcast
I look forward to listening to this every week! Occasionally they passively spout political, social justice or pandemic opinions which I could not care less about there opinions on those topics. But other than those few instances they are very informative and entertaining and it is definitely my favorite Braves podcast. I’m not able to watch every game but I do listen to this podcast on my commute to work every time they drop a new one. I really enjoy the daily ones during the playoffs as well. Adding to my review The old name was much cooler not sure why it changed but talking chop made a lot more sense.
  • Fantasy Punisher
    Dumb name
Excellent podcast network with a name that did not need to be changed. Now every time I hear “battery power” 🤢 I have to pull over and barf. Good thing is there’s other Braves podcasts. I know they are at least as political, but at least they’re not rubbing it in my face with “battery power” 🤢. *unsubscribe

    What happened?
I’ve followed this show and the website, talkingchop.com, for nearly a decade now. I’ve been a Braves fan as far back as I can remember, nearly 30 years now. I’m part Cherokee, on my mothers side and relate to that community. This podcast traditionally offered great insights into the weekly wrap up of games, trends and analysis of each player, and predictions for the upcoming week. Solid content, and pretty well put together for the most part. In the past 12-18 months, politics have seeped into most episodes. Hard pulls for the MLBPA without objective analysis from the owners side of the house - essentially trashing baseball owners and, by proxy, the Braves organization. I could put up with this, though I found it distasteful. Now, they have participated in the whitewashing of the 21st century. The new logo does not represent the Braves (fierce warriors now only honored almost exclusively through competitive sport, otherwise to be forgotten by history), and removed any mention of the tomahawk from their website name. They’ll keep the revenue and ad money, all while burying another piece of Native American culture. This is virtue signaling. This is whitewashing. I won’t be a part of it any longer.
