This podcast is topical and interesting. I like listening to opinions all over the political spectrum to try and gain a better understanding of how people think. Dave and Robbie are well informed and both posses a sharp wit. For the most part I really enjoy the podcast. However, Dave Smith has extremely thin skin and feels the need to subject the listeners to shrill, petty takedowns of those that disagree with or in any way criticize him or anyone he considers a friend. I love a good counterpoint argument but Smith comes off a little too mean girl in my opinion. Often, after listening to these episodes I will go and listen to the offending podcast for context. I find many times that he misses a lot by selectively editing and misinterpreting the broader point. But hey, although political commentary this is for entertainment after all so I do get it. That said, I still think it’s a good podcast and worth a listen.

Trump did not say that he is building a refugee camp. Huge difference between permanent housing and refugee camp. I don’t even like Trump and question the trial ballon, but really stop lying and using the corrupt corporate media tactics.

Long-time listener and fan of the show. The last episode with Nicole Shanahan felt like Dave rushed to get Rob off and was so eager to share his thoughts that she barely got to speak. Love hearing Dave and Rob’s perspective of current events, but I think the episodes with non-libertarian guest speakers could really benefit from Dave not having to insert his full perspective on every topic and allowing his guests to get their point across. Thanks for the content keep up with the good work!

Man, I want to like this show. Dave does make great points but for half the shows, he is just complaining that somebody mentioned him in a tweet. It just turns into a man yelling at the sky and it is a sad example of how all political shows are just full of egocentric braggarts. Half of his argument is just how he has a bigger platform than the other person. So, i guess my point is less complaining more talking about issues that matter.

Dave and rob are super smart and knowledgeable , but most importantly they are very effective communicators. They often make brilliant analogies that helps me understand.

This has become one of my favorite podcasts. Common sense and Dave really knows his stuff.

Thanks for helping me think critically

Dave is a smart guy and I used to listen to every episode, but the negativity got old for me. He has an opinion about everything and anybody that doesn’t agree with him is messed up. I cannot imagine Dave as President, ever. I think he’s a good in a debate, but it’s unpalatable at moments so I had to stop listening regularly.

I may not agree with 100% of their positions, but these dudes have the moral courage and intellectual honesty to be consistent in their analysis of politics and current events.

I love the podcast. I think Dave is one of the best voices in the political commentary sphere. That being said, there are some issues with Dave’s mic. I’m not sure if he’s being mixed too low, but I have to raise the volume every time Dave starts to speak.

I agree, my husband and I watched the debate and we both hated the constant talking over one another. Hated the other 2 guys. Sarah was okay. Loved the debate on PBD with Cuomo.

I may not agree with everything they say but I appreciate that they take on difficult topics and try to educate us instead of pushing their views down our throats.

As a construction worker-turned-civil-engineer, I have designed and built my own roads. Dave smith couldn’t do either, yet he constantly preaches it. Put down the microphone and pick up a shove you candya$$. Go help trump sling French fries!

I’ve been powering through a lot of these episodes lately but today you lost me trying to reference white man can’t jump.

I love listening to Dave but damn… the amount of ad breaks..

So—I’d classify myself as an Independent Voter with conservative tendencies. I consume a few podcasts for political analysis and news. This one is by far my favorite. The biggest reason is, in my opinion, Dave has a balance in the political spectrum. He calls out what he deans nonsense regardless of which political party is toting, and that includes the parties outside of the two heavy-hitters. As of the time of this podcast, I think he’s really solid. Idk, each week I feel like Dave sounds less reasonable and more antagonistic. But I’m still with it.

Dave is great. His debate with Lara Loomer via Zero Hedge by Adam Sosnick was par for how awesome pretty much all his podcasts are. More Ron Paul, less Bush-Cheney.

I enjoy the comedic aspect of how Dave and Robbie cut through the Bull$hit that is happening in our country and around the world. For a podcast to not espouse the leftist or right wing narratives is truly a breath of fresh air. Dave Smith for President 2028!!

I love the podcast. Look forward to it every week. Dave and Rob are a great pair and keep me informed and laughing every show. Update- I have to unsubscribe for awhile. The left right politics they cover every week are just pointless. It doesn’t matter who wins the uni party is pushing us toward techno fascism. In large part I they Dave and Robbie understand this fact but they still cover the political theater for the masses. I’m just done with the nonsense. Trump and Kamala (insert random democrat here) are leading us to the same end.

You’re comment about how people who have children (including yourself) do not respect people without children was so rude and disrespectful. You’re assuming everyone can have children. Which shows how shallow and simple you are. And besides, maybe it turns out that so many breeders are just boring bland people who without their children would be make no contribution to society whatsoever. In fact they stress society with their little psychic and environmental vanpires. Dave’s head has gotten so overblown with doodoo it’s interfering with his thought process.

I’m a long time LOS fan. Having seen Dave grow has been awesome. Seeing Dave grow with “the fire” has been beautiful! I look forward to listen to their points of view every time a new pod drops… I’m not even that political. I know they’re bringing an honest factual point of view to the issues happening at any given time. And for that reason I stay listening to Dave and The Fire! Thank you both for the pod… also congrats on the move! Making the skanks proud!

Dave is great. Different perspective and well laid out arguments. May want to tone down the ego a smidge but overall, I’m a big fan of the guy. I think Dave could make a run in ‘28 or ‘32

Why do you have this Jew hater on your show. He literally brought up Israel when you were talking about the attempted Trump assassination. To him, everything wrong in the world has something to do with Israel and the Jews. Look in the mirror Dave, this guy is using you.

Love the pod and Dave and Rob! Maybe it’s my gynocentric worldview but this Andrew Wilson, what a con job. His arguments do not appear to be in good faith, listening to him I am reminded why some women embrace late wave feminism and prefer to marry the government. I can only assume this is audience capture for him but it’s the same victim mentality that is harmful for women. Get off the internet and find a nice girl at church or anywhere outside, try to get married young, build your life together, the good ones get snapped up early (example: me). Andrew appears to enjoy picking on women who’ve made bad choices a little too much, don’t be hard on them ho’s! If he is a Christian he can leave the judgement to God and go and make disciples, not pander to incels for monetary gain. I can’t stop myself (hormones), he is part of the problem. Dave just talks about himself. Never really has original ideas or thoughts besides commenting on other peoples opinions without offering a solution. Very libertarian of him do that.

Not a bad show, but can the guy stop talking exactly as an annoying valley girl does for one sentence? Also as a libertarian minded person, I’m starting to see many “libertarians “ on these shows are just as hypocritical and completely contradict themselves time after time. That goes for especially Horton and yes even the god Ron Paul, yah I said it. Tom Woods is the only guy I really consistently listen to anymore.

The episode that dropped today (5-28-24) is almost two weeks removed from the news cycle in which it belongs. What the heck y’all? I was impatiently waiting a week for an episode and I fully expected one on the Libertarian Convention ie., Donald Trump’s speech, how awesome Vivek was, how RFK pandered to the audience and didn’t mention how he’s a member of the climate cult and is just one more socialist who intends to start “wellness farms” with taxpayer dollars, not to mention the disgusting candidates the idiot caucus members chose. Will I have to wait two more weeks for y’all’s take on this stuff? And I think we need to start a new Pary since the Libertarian Party is now just a carbon copy of the Democrat Party. Maybe you could start a Locals community and just do the episodes live? You don’t have to take questions and comments from the chat if you don’t want. It would just be nice to hear your take on stuff while it’s happening not two weeks later.

I love this podcast. Love Robbie and Dave. Theyre pretty much right about everything, and this is generally the most reliable news analysis you can find. What continues to bum me out about the emerging ron paul, libertarian, mises, etc movement is how they still manage to get bogged down in the philosophical debates. while these are interesting, maybe we can let the mises institute and others have that lane? Dave’s platform is too important to waste it on this. If we all agree that this empire must be stopped, why not just focus on that? This show has the potential to be an even bigger influence than it already is, but its time to graduate. The world needs you now.
