Susan Ulmer 7327Retired educatorI was once again sooo fascinated and blown away by your conversation, Krista, with Adrianne Maree Brown!!! Actually, I am impacted and learn so much from each of your conversations…its my favorite listening!! The understandings, the images, the living life knowledge and take aways to tuck close to ones surface of day to day living will be carried within and beyond me for future living and being! What gifts of depth and new understandings, possibilities you provide for any and all of your listeners through the sharing of these conversations!!! THANK YOU!

ZACBInspiring and delightfulExcellent, insightful, and inspiring, this show covers a wide range of subjects all in the pursuit of answering life’s most pressing questions - why are we here and how do we best serve the planet and each other to create richness, depth, and meaning in our lives. It is limited and very much embodies a neoliberal viewpoint with dashes of progressivism.
-
SDhltntI have listened to her and what she chooses to shareFor years she has taken a lot of time to bring guests that open minds to information that can enrich life and show a full richness that guides to beautiful place our minds find so much full throttle zestful joy

as398Consistently Inspiring, Expansive ProfoundI learn new ways of being present in the world. Every episode is a spiritual + intellectual calisthenics where I find a new teacher. Thank you, Krista, for your years of excellent interviewing and helping me tap into the best parts of myself

AxiomaticSkepticA celebration of our shared humannessSome wonderful conversations. I’m slowly working my way through the archives. Seems to me, no matter what the title of the episode or who the guest is, the ongoing thread of this very worthwhile podcast is simply what it means to be fully human in today’s world. Recommended.

poedatyouTalks over her guestsKrista Tippet has great people on her podcast, then interrupts and talks over them. It’s frustrating to hear a Nobel winning poet start to speak only to have Krista cut them off in order to continue her unending monologue.
-
swsd4paHumanity c/o KristaKrista is one of the best interviewers! She knows how to bring out a persons, voice + spirit at the same time - going deep and helping us to feel connected. Her grace and heart are evident in every interview - not to mention her strength in facts, words, and deeds. Krista’s authenticity is palpable.

peacegarden365Star ShineKrista's conversation with Dan Harris [#1114]: Centering, grounding , revitalizing. Ease-full dialogue between friends on the Big Questions. I will sleep more peacefully tonite, and will rise tomorrow recalibrated to, ever again, our North Star of Peaceful & Loving Existence. I love you both, you are so very precious .🩷✨🩷 And yep, WISE!

BeauthecowbelldogWish she would stop interruptingGreat podcast and lovely, thoughtful conversations. I just wish krista would minimize her interruptions of the guests. Sometimes you can tell they are in the zone and articulating an idea very near to them, when suddenly krista will jump in with a “explainer” which feels so jarring, and sometimes ruins the flow of the conversation abruptly. It’s not too often but I can tell in her eagerness to make sense of what is being said, she will often jump in. But overall a great podcast. Truly life changing.

Ada JudyMy first ever podcastWhen podcasts started coming out, On Being was the only one I listened to. The guests, the content, the questions Krista asks, are all intricately woven to create a beautiful, inspiring conversation. I even have a binder full of notes taken from On Being podcasts. Keep doing your magical work, Krista. It has such value in a hurting world.

Daniel SternoReid Hoffman episodeI can’t think of two individuals that I would like to discuss the overwhelming complexity of AI, its role in our future and it’s present state and what it means. I’ve learned so much from this episode- I’ll listen to it again soon- the idealist in me wants to see it as goodness and the street smart skeptic in me wants to be very afraid of it getting in the wrong hands. Thank you thank you thank you. Daniel

AargFThank God you’re backOn Being was my intro to podcasts. I started with the best and that set a very high bar! I’ve missed the intelligence, humor and thoughtfulness I find every week with Krista. Like an old friend coming home, thank you Krista for “being on” for all of us!

AmygpThank God you’re backOh how I’ve missed this podcast during it’s seasonal hiatus! Krista is a master at getting deep on the subjects her guests bring to the table, she is a master. I savor every episode like I would a favorite poem or a glass of wine after a long day, it’s satiating to the soul. Thank you Krista 🙏

SoAmericanPlease remove her "ums"If someone could please edit out ALL of Krista incessant "ums", this podcast would be a significantly easier listen. Thank you!

Pattilou22Never ceases to InspireI have been listening to Krista’s On Being for many years, and she gets to the heart of what’s so essential to my soul and intellect every time. I’m always left inspired, and enriched by her conversation with her guests: always with respect, curiosity and humility. Thank you for always providing such a quality of beautiful work.
-
icarusflewtoocloseVery overreaching and rambling trying to connect spirituality to scienceThe show makes little to no sense and is overall hard to follow. It’s done in a coy “intellectual” tone where Krista Tippett is holier than thou in her quest for spirituality and forces these overtones on her guests.
-
sand-n-seaSo enlightening and a light!I can’t listen to an episode without wanting to write something down- a quote or idea that makes my heart glad or my mind reconsider. And I always need to find someone to share the episode with! So glad this podcast is back!

bkrbhamSoulful EnlightenmentMy all time favorite podcast. My go to when I can’t sleep, when I want to feel inspired, when I am hiking through the forest, when I am on an airplane. It is the podcast I always want to hear. I feel like a better human for listening. I am for sure inspired, moved and enlightened. So grateful!

MetzsciverOn Being is beautiful!I love this podcast! Krista holds space for important conversations and highlights people and their work, work that reminds us that we are all connected. I have found every podcast to be enlightening and uplifting. Bravo 🙌

MaydiheiiInspiring and confusingJust listened to the uplifting interview with Janine Benyus. So much lovely there, though I was surprised the word “capitalism” never came up when both host and guest seemed flummoxed by why humanity didn’t turn to nature sooner other than to extract from it. I know this show centers whiteness (the proverbial “we”) but I wish there was at least a nod (instead of a reference to “some people”) to indigenous communities where there has been an unbroken line in being *of* nature and who are the human teachers.

notulipChange is good!I love the fresh new approach for On Being AND!!! I nearly cried when I saw Barbara Brown Taylor was todays's guest. I crave hearing from her!!! Thank you!

Bertopro1A breath of fresh airThis is one of my go to podcast, whenever I want to take a break from the trap of busyness, which I often fall into.

KonaLA13NecessaryThis podcast can benefit any human - reminding us of our capacity for thought, joy, compassion, depth, and wonder. Necessary to combat the other dark capacities of humanity

Miriam GunnPointing us to inspiration and solutionsIn an era of unceasing negative news cycles, On Being showcases and points us toward individuals using their one and only life toward restoration and hope. Very few conversations inspire these days, yet On Being does consistently. I come away from these encounters renewed in my own quest for leaving things better than I found them.
-
greenteapoetryWorld ChangingI’ve listened to On Being since the very first episodes. As the world changes, so does the show. I’m thrilled to listen to thoughtful, in-depth interviews with poets, theologians, scientists, thinkers, activists and artists. The show invites us to learn about the way guests see the world using their own particular lens and how we might incorporate their wisdom into saving - and enjoying - our planet. Personally, my life has been changed by meeting “new-to-me” thinkers, from Joanna Macy to James Bridle, and subsequently reading their works. Thank you to the whole team!
-
BiltredGreat insightI love the conversations and the thoughtfulness.

amichtOn Being is my North StarI have lost count of how many times I’ve sat in my garage or a parking lot, listening to the end of an episode before going inside. Krista, her guests, and the On Being team speak directly into my heart, my soul, my mind, and how I want to live and move in this world. Every episode is an absolute gem in what has become the treasure chest of how things can & should be! Thank you, On Being!
-
JamieBullockHurleyThank youI am called to share each and every episode with someone that I love. They are works of art. This show helps rekindle my belief that the world is good, that people are good and that we can life “as if” and that “as if” is truly possible. Thank you Krista and team.

LAPMSLong time fan first time reviewerA big fan. Appreciate the wide range of interviewees and subjects tackled in this podcast. The conversation is always expansive and very thoughtful. It is obvious that Krista does her homework before the interview and guides the conversation along beautifully. I always come away with a new found or deeper knowledge and appreciation of the subject and person interviewed, and find myself thinking of things and ways I had not previously considered. From this episode I will be borrowing a Wendell Berry book or two from my local library. Thank you

KateKateKate312Grounding and inspiringThere is no better way to start the day than a long quiet walk with the wisdom and grace of OnBeing.

The Dirtbag DadThoughtful, insightful, compelling...A superb program. I'm a long time follower and you don't always know where On Being is going to go next: rest assured it will be a wondrous and thought provoking place. It also has a certain mindful, calming effect. You'll find that in Krista's voice, but it goes much, much deeper than that: from a place in the heart. Bravo!
-
AKprincesswarriorSo glad you’re back!Few things bring comfort to my heart, substance to my spirit, and deeper thinking to my moral intellect than this podcast. I’ve been listening for 8 years now and am just so deeply grateful for all the work Krista and her team (and her guests!) contribute to our world, so full of pain and promise. Thank you 💛

KatieA50Best podcast I’ve ever heardRemembering what it’s like to hear an actual, real, live, meaningful conversation. Wide ranging topics about being human.

Dearly❤️Awesome InterviewI am in awe of this interview; in awe of Krista’s talent with language; in awe of the research that Dacher has done and his contribution to the science of understanding emotion. I have great appreciation for On Being’s work and for returning with a new season of thought provoking podcasts. Namaste.
-
abdwrSo glad you’re back!No other podcast - and very few interviewers - stand out like ‘On Being’
-
Reverend MollyOn Being - so glad it’s back!Krista’s interview with Dacher Keltner has inspired me to write my first ever review of a podcast, even though I’ve been a huge fan and devoted listener since her “Speaking of Faith” days. This conversation has left me wanting so much more - in a good way. I need to learn more about all that Krista and Dacher talked about. I need to share this with my seminary sisters, my biological sisters, my spiritual gathering, my neighbors, my condo book club, my original book group, my children and their spouses! Every. Single. Being. That’s just how I feel. Thank you. We are blessings to each other.

AtamaganaiAwe—the reconnection of science and soulProfessor Keltner put into layman’s words the thesis of a book by Matthew David Segall titled “Physics of the World-Soul: Whitehead’s Adventure in Cosmology.” The science of awe contemporizes the need to bring perceptual reality back to the reductionistist physical sciences as congruent experiences of life in an ever evolving cosmos.
