kiteSurf1518I miss Answers alreadyI absolutely loved this Podcast! I’m so sad that I don’t get to hear Allison and Bro on a weekly basis now. I learned a tremendous amount about investing through this podcast. I hope one day it will come back.

Montana Don222Sorry to see Answers GoI loved listening to Answers for years and am disappointed it is gone. Wish it would come back some day. I miss Allison and Bro. They were great.

FriSep29One of my favorite MF U verse podcasts..sorry to see it goI love the format of this program. They address listener questions which provides helpful insight to areas of investment thought you never knew you needed. Alison keeps the mood light and Robert is very well rounded in his expertise. By the way, I learned to love Alison’s voice…delightful! She is a gem.

nononsense12345BLM lecturing plus Personal Finance! Please update your podcast description, which is currently silent on sanctimonious BLM lecturing, to reflect that it is part of your content. Your base content is great. Stop ruining it with these distractions, and if you’re going to keep dropping in BLM surprises, put it in your podcast and show descriptions.

robin1042Great advice even from the shows years oldI’ve been going back through Answers since I started listening at the end of 2020. I HIGHLY recommend the 5th Anniversary episode—the part where they play two clips of an episode at half speed is spit-take funny! I fortunately listened to an episode from two years ago that gave me an answer to a question I had as to whether I can move a stock or fund from my investment account to my IRA—nope. They then explained tax efficient investing. They treat their listeners as intelligent investors who only need information and not advice. Very helpful.

sjsharksfan39This Show has Gotten BoringI remember when I first started listening to this show, I enjoyed the chemistry between Alison and Robert and kind of that casualness feeling that this show had. They would bring on guests but it was always Alison and Robert interviewing the guests together. Then (And I think it was the pandemic that made this happen), it kind of became a monolouge show where one of them would talk for most of the show, or there would be an interview where it was just one of the hosts. I was like, ok, Fine. You have to adjust during a pandemic and I get that. However, there was one show that felt like the casualness of the old show, and that was the end of the month mailbag. Well, earlier this year for some reason the hosts took a month off (I get that, we all need vacations) and played archived episodes where they featured the "Answers Answers" segment. They haven't called the mailbag "Answers Answers" in a long time. Then when they came back, they basically said we are getting rid of the mailbag show and bringing back the Answers Answers segment. Ever since the announcement, I'm wondering to myself what this show is. It used to be a show where they would talk a topic centered around your money and provide answers to those questions, hince the show title "Motley Fool Answers". The Mailbag show was great because it actually went back to the roots of what "Motley Fool ANSWERS" is supposed to be. Now it's a show where one of the hosts monolouges or we get a boring interview and the tone and kind of casual atmosphere of the it has been totally lost. It's gotten boring now.

lsoa17Miss the MailbagSo sad they are not doing the mailbags anymore, that was a big highlight about this podcast.

Michaelv63No I don’t like the changesSo was such a fan of this podcast for many reasons with the main one being its uniqueness in light of all the financial podcasts that just seem to mimic each other. Allison and Bro’s format was special and a must listen every Tuesday for me. Absolutely loved and anticipated the mailbag pod every month. Sorry and sad to say as it is currently formatted this podcast is not on my must listen list any longer. 😌

DogonSierehtWhat a great podcastThere are inside jokes, Bro gets a new name every show, the banter is wonderful, and I just love this podcast. All this, and you get a wonderful insight into your future financial needs. Just a great place to learn about financial planning.

surv12533June 15th Alison MonologueExcellent monologue on remote working, go get em Alison!

cvillerealistPeteInfo is pretty good, but the chat between the host and expert is childish.
-
Sanjay in SwitzerlandGreat knowledge and witty banterLove the show! Alison and Bro have great chemistry and keep me entertained while sharing helpful knowledge and advice.

motoko89What’s wrong with Robert recording?Whenever he speaks, there is a background clicky-clanky noise as if someone is doing mouse clicks in the background, or is it mouth click? It’s super annoying and distracting. Get a better equipment please!

nittanylion91enjoy the podcast, but...Mr. Broekamp didn’t mention a risk of Roth IRAs. the strategy works - assuming Congress keeps it’s promise to not tax Roth IRA proceeds. given that the “no tax” promise needs to be kept for at least the next 10 Congresses, and Congress will be looking for $$, i’ll personally take my tax deduction now and worry about taxes later. Given the speed of Secure Act passage, changing the rules can be done quickly, when Congress wants to.

blockbusterFanNormally love, was disappointed this timeI normally love all of your podcasts and the September Mailbag episode was shaping up to be no different, but this week you had one person write in about people at their workplace not performing the way they would expect. I thought this was a real missed opportunity to challenge the expectations of some during this time. First, I am an employee working remotely and I would do anything to get back into an office safely because working from home is often much harder than being at an office (not than being a frontline worker by any stretch) in terms of the lack of places to work, the lack of infrastructure in most homes, the other people living in the same space you are working, etc. Second, anyone listening in America and especially those in California and the Gulf states are going through several crises (economic, social, health, and habitat). Parents are having to teach their children at home while attempting to hold onto their jobs. Some single people are isolated in their apartments not seeing other people. We don’t know exactly what our coworkers circumstances are. Some have moved time zones to be with family (sick or not) during this time and may be working at night. I was so disappointed that the answer you gave didn’t focus on seeing each other as people and working to give those around us the space they need. You mentioned it, but just barely and commented on the fact that people still need to be performing. This pandemic has an outsized impact on women and the fact that it has not been mentioned on your platform made me look into other services today to find one run by women and BIPOC individuals. That is simply because women understand that this pandemic is impacting people differently based on gender and race. Women run households, they often determine the spending, and they especially deserve a break while serving more as teachers, caretakers, and employees during this time. BIPOC individuals have again taken on the job of teacher for all of their non-BIPOC friends and family, this pandemic has outsized health impacts on them, and they are grieving the fact that repeatedly the people in power seem not to care about dismantling the systems that kill and oppress those without certain privileges. Please be more cognizant of the fact that you have the power to model empathetic workplaces for those outside of your company. Employees have to perform, but this is a different time and requires us to pick up the slack for others when we can and be thankful for what we do have.

bdonsmcdonaklesBest Podcast for Beginning InvestorsAlison and Bro are the absolute best. I discovered this podcast six months ago (Feb 2020) and I’ve listened to almost every episode since 2014. The show is very dynamic and they repeatedly discuss good long-term investing practices but still take time to branch into other fun finance/investing topics as well. Love it! Alison, stay fun. Bro, keep awful-izing. STOCKS!
-
Kid garMrGreat show. Bro is very informative about a wealth of subjects and Alison keeps us entertained and keeps the show moving. I love the frequent guests that appear.
-
allergicbroUsed to listen more oftenBro provides sincere answers. I like when actual questions are answered but it seems like this podcast stretches too far to come up with ideas, and more recently the guests have little to do with stocks or investing. I find myself fast forwarding or skipping it all together.
-
Chakakakakakaf13485Love the wisdomThanks for sharing all the fun facts and planning info. I’ve been listening for 2 years. I recommend listening at 1.5x (but I recommend that for almost all podcasts) ..STOCKS! bonds!

shrilhFavorite money podcastCovers a variety of finance topics with guest commentators, a real-world practical approach, and two charismatic hosts. Alison Southwick is full of energy and enthusiasm and Robert Brokamp offers solid dependable insights. I also like the way they include Rick, the editor. This the best of the Motley Fool podcasts in my opinion, informative and upbeat, and is the only money related podcast I listen to consistently. Love your podcast!

JakeD$$Hey, Bro, what’s up?I love these guys. I am a MF subscriber and have made a bunch of money off their recommendations. The podcasts, however, keep me entertained and still engaged in the market while driving, running, shopping, or otherwise detained. Thank you for all the knowledge and the wealth you’ve helped me grow! Alison, you crack me up. Your laugh does make me want to rip out my earbuds but I’m too overcome by laughing along with you. Bro, you’re the perfect straight man. Keep be the best of the (all great) MF podcasts!

KingHoserSTOCKS!!!This Podcast is great, and doesn't just cover stocks. Alison and Robert Brokamp (Bro) do a great job covering a number of different topics that affect people and their finances. They do this with a fun, lively Podcast which brings in guests, covers historical fun facts, and helps listeners figure out how topics might impact they're plans in their financial future. Alison's voice is pleasant and cheerful, helping to make a long commute happier and enjoyable in the car or on the train for work.

I’ve been investing for almost 20 years with help from The Fool and I still learn all kinds of interesting and helpful stuff from this podcast. Besides it is just simply fun to listen to Alison and Bro and sometimes a guest and whatever they’re up to on any given week. You all make investing fun, and I look forward to your podcast every week! Thanks!
