    My go to podcast
The Broad Experience has become my go to podcast. The episodes address a wide range of issues facing women in the workplace and life in general. I like the way questions are posed and the listener is left to draw their own conclusions, perspective from the information presented. I appreciate Ashley inserting bits of her own life and/or the way the content came to life. I highly recommend this podcast and have shared with several friends!

    Grounding
I love this show and have been listening on and off for the last few years through a few jobs to the one I have right now. As a female, minority engineer, it’s been a “coach” to me on what I should and shouldn’t have to put up with in the workplace. I still have to figure out boundaries in my highly male-dominated workplace, but this show has helped me grow and find my voice when I thought I didn’t have one.

    A must listen
A gem of a podcast for women - at any point in their career. The topics are relevant and insightful, with several interviews of key thought leaders and regular women. This podcast made me feel less alone with the issues I face at work and gave me some good ideas of how to tackle issues and where to look for more info. A great podcast!!

    Very important work
I just underwent a major negotiation for a job offer. Thanks again for all your work, Ashley. As I went through this very uncomfortable and new process of negotiation, I kept hearing your voice and the many perspectives of your guests in my head from all your different episodes, and as a whole they guided me to be objective, strategic, and a big-picture-thinker. I'm a changed woman, and a better one at that - the show really helped me truly realize what is possible and my true value.

Ashley helps me realize my potential
Not to be too dramatic, but after listening to a few of these Podcasts, I developed the courage to apply for a promotion that was a bit out of my league. I didn’t get it but I learned a lot from the experience and I am applying for more promotions at work. Thank you for helping me see my potential.

Essential listening for the modern professional.
Ms. Milne-Tyte produces one of the must listen shows for any adult who works. Every show is intelligent, nuanced, thoughtful, and carefully produced. It's worth the effort to listen back through the archive.
  • Carolina Tola
    Haughty host
I liked this podcast until I listened to the behind the scenes episode which was just an excuse for this haughty Brit to talk about herself and her work which she wants us all to recognize. Stick to the content vs. selling yourself.
  • Rutheileen74
    Changed my career
I love this podcast and wait for each new episode. It’s literally changed the ways I think about my relationship with my work. It’s helped me delineate the blur of work life balance and move through mid level management in a more proactive, strategic way. I give it 4 of 5 stars only because there has been maybe 15 times where I’ve rolled my eyes a bit, and I don’t mean to fault anyone specifically, but the advice can (but usually recovers quickly) be shallow on some occasion or slightly in-relatable to a suburban professional (I work for a medium sized healthcare system). For example, the most recent episode referenced saying no and the example given was choosing to say no to be a keynote speaker at a conference on the opposite coast. This is an applicable example, however, I need advice on how to say no to someone who always wants me to fix their excel file. Anyway, this podcast has changed my life for the positive and I am so thankful for it!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Own Who You Are! Love it!
Such an empowering show for women! I greatly appreciate Ashley's format and flow of the show. It's very entertaining with the way she inserts the questions and she Interviews diverse women who put themselves in the path of opportunity and unapologetically shine their light. Thank you for interviewing Lauren Tucker who looks on the bright side: if something is a challenge for you, make it an advantage when you can. Love it! CaraF13

    Empowering and educational
I was introduced to this podcast by a member of my women's networking group and have been listening ever since. I started from the beginning and am only on episode 30, but I finish each episode feeling empowered and more educated on topics that affect me and my peers regularly. I've even learned about issues I've never even considered prior to listening. I do wish that the episodes were longer, but I also love how I can finish four during my commute. I use the podcasts as jumping-off points to do more research into the guest speakers and to learn even more about the presented topics. This podcast is fantastic and I will continue to listen and share as much as possible. Thank you!

    One of my faves
    Great interviewer and challenging topics.
  • brancavianna
    One of my favorite podcasts
The topics are relevant, the interviewees are great, issues are discussed in direct form with no fudging or dodging of difficult or embarassing questions, opinions are always evidenced-based and not just the result of what we in Brazil call "achismo". I've learned a lot about women in the workplace from Ashley and her guests.
  • erickri
    Excellent Content
At 35, single and navigating a job search - Ashley's Podcast came at just the right time. She and her guests cover so many of the questions and fears I have circling in my head. While there is not an answer for everything, there is valuable dialogue that challenges me to see my own situation differently. To remember I am not alone and that I am my own most valuable resource.
  • Deloris2017
    One of the best podcasts
I love listening to "The Broad Experience." It's very informative and intelligent. Both host and guest are very knowledgeable and have great insights. I also like that different points of view are presented - sometimes my views are confirmed, but sometimes I'm forced to question them after listening a guest who presented it from a perspective I'd never thought about. A lot of the advice is also practical. And it doesn't push the "women are victims" thinking, nor is it anti-men. Just intelligent, practical, insightful, and interesting. I highly recommend this podcast. I highly recommend this podcast.

  • aknj368
    My favorite podcast
This podcast seriously helped me get through my postpartum depression. While on a career break following the birth of my twins, I would tune into this podcast on stroller walks. The anecdotes and research shared by Ashley's guests helped me (a) remember that I was completely normal in the anxieties I felt while taking a career break, and (b) encouraged me to be strategic in plotting out my return to the workforce on my own terms. Some of the stories also help me be more mindful about the ways I parent my boy-girl twins. Thank you Ashley for this podcast. Please, please, please keep it up! 👍🏻

    Perfect for me
This podcast has helped me understand so much about working women and my options in life. The best part is- it's very entertaining to listen to. So many podcasts with serious subject matter are boring- this podcast is an easy listen. I feel smarter after each episode
  • No_Promises_
    Thank you!
So refreshing to hear frank and honest discussions about women in the work place. So many things that I am experiencing and thinking about - but don’t feel comfortable discussing with my co-workers. Nice to know I’m not alone - thank you!
